Electronic structure studies of Co-substituted FINEMET alloys by x-ray absorption spectroscopy

  • FINEMET type nanocrystalline materials synthesized by controlled crystallization of amorphous ribbons[1] exhibit excellent soft magnetic properties making them attractive for technological applications. Present work reports the electronic structure studies of Co-substituted FINEMET to get information on the effect of successive Co substitution on local environment around Fe and Co atom by using near edge x-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) and x-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) measurements. NEXAFS spectroscopy and XMCD measurements have been carried out at Fe $L_{3,2}$ and Co $L_{3,2}$-edges to investigate the chemical states and electronic structure of FINEMET [$(Fe_{100-x}Co_x)_{78}Si_9Nb_3Cu_1Ba$](0$L_{3,2}$-edge reveal that Fe is in 2+ state and in tetrahedral symmetry with other elements. The magnetic properties exhibiting soft magnetic behavior[2] are discussed on the basis of the electronic structure studied through XMCD.

  • 현재 결정질 실리콘 태양전지의 전 후면 전극의 형성은 스크린 프린팅 방법이 주를 이루고 있다. 스크린 프린팅 방법은 쉽고 빠르게 인쇄가 가능한 반면 단가가 높고 금속 페이스트에 첨가된 여러 혼합물에 의해서 전극과 기판 사이의 저항이 크다는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 스크린 프린팅 방법으로 태양전지의 seed layer를 인쇄하고, Cu도금을 진행함으로써 태양전지의 전기적 특성을 비교하였다. 주요 전극 형성을 Cu 도금을 사용함으로써 전극과 기판사이의 저항을 감소시키고 값비싼 Ag페이스트를 값싼 Cu로 대체함으로써 가격을 낮출 수 있는 장점이 있다. 실험에 사용된 Si 웨이퍼 특성은 $156{\times}156$ mm2, 200 ${\mu}m$, 0.5-3.0 ${\Omega}{\cdot}cm$ and p-type 웨이퍼를 사용하였다. 웨이퍼는 표면조직화, p-n접합 형성, 반사방지막 코팅을 하였으며 스크린 프린팅 방법을 이용해 전 후면 전극을 인쇄하고 열처리 과정을 통해 전극을 형성하였다. 이 후 전면에 Cu도금을 실행하여 태양전지를 완성하였다. 완성된 태양전지는 솔라 시뮬레이터 및 TLM패턴을 이용하여 전기적 특성을 분석하였으며, SEM과 linescan, 광학현미경 등을 이용하여 전극을 분석하였다.

전자빔 후 처리를 이용한 유연성 태양전지용 AZO 박막의 특성 향상에 관한 연구

  • 현재 산업계 전반적으로 사용되고 있는 박막형 태양전지 투명 전도막의 재료로는 ITO 와 Al, In, Ga, B, Si, F 등으로 도핑된 ZnO 박막이 사용되고 있으며, 그 중에서도 Al 이 도핑된 ZnO 박막은 넓은 밴드갭을 가진 n-type 반도체로서, 적외선 및 가시광 영역에서의 높은 투과성과 우수한 전도성을 가지며, 고온에서 안정된 전기적 특성, 낮은 원가 등의 장점을 지녀 그 응용 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다 [1]. 본 연구에서는 RF magnetron Sputter 법을 이용하여 Flexible 기판 위에 AZO 박막을 증착하였다. 실험변수로는 RF power, Pressure등을 이용하였고, 최적조건에서의 박막의 투과도는 90%이상, 면저항은 30 ${\Omega}/{\square}$ 이하를 나타내었다. 그리고 (주)인포비온에서 원천기술을 갖고있는 EBA technology를 이용하여 후처리 하여 전기적, 광학적, 구조적인 특성의 변화를 관찰하였다. AZO 박막의 두께를 측정하기 위해 ${\alpha}-step$과 SEM을 이용하였고, 투과도는 UV-Vis spectrometer를 사용하여 박막의 투과도 변화를 관찰 하였다. 전기적인 특성은 4-Point probe를 이용하여 측정하였다. 또한, 박막의 결정성과 거칠기의 변화는 XRD(X-ray Diffraction)와 원자간력현미경(Atomic Force Microscope; AFM) 을 이용하여 측정하였으며, 전기 광학적 특성 변화는 Figure Of Merit(FOM) 수치로 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 AZO 박막의 특성은 EBA 조사 후 특성의 향상이 이루어지는 것을 관찰할 수 있었다.

고온에서 안정한 저전력 마이크로히터 구조 최적화 연구 (Study on Optimal Structure of Low Power Microheater to Remain Stability at High Temperature)

  • Microheaters with different structures were fabricated and compared to find an optimal configuration enhancing the performances of $C_2H_2$ gas sensor. Three temperature sensors were integrated on the surface of the insulation layer over the microheater, and resistance changes were observed to check the generated heat from the microheater. A low operating voltage of 1mV was applied to the temperature sensor to minimize any influence of thermal heat from the resistance type temperature sensor, whereas high voltages in the range between 10 and 20V were applied to the microheater. A microheater structure generating maximum heat at low voltage was determined. The generated heat was verified by the temperature sensors on the top of the $Si_3N_4$ and infrared camera. A long term stability and accuracy of the microheater were observed. The developed microheater was applied to enhance the performances of $C_2H_2$ gas sensor and successfully confirmed that the developed microheater greatly contributes to the improvement of sensitivity and selectivity of gas sensor.

SnO2 박막의 열처리 온도에 따른 CO2가스 반응성 (CO2 Gas Responsibility of SnO5 Thin Film Depending on the Annealing Temperature)

  • The $CO_2$ gas responsibility of $SnO_2$ thin films was researched with various annealing temperatures. $SnO_2$ was prepared on n-type Si substrate by RF magnetron sputtering system and annealed in a vacuum condition. The bonding structure of $SnO_2$ was changed from amorphous to crystal structure with increasing the annealing temperature, and the content of oxygen vacancy was researched the highest of the annealed at $60^{\circ}C$. The $SnO_2$ annealed at $60^{\circ}C$ had the characteristics of the highest capacitance. The special properties of $CO_2$ gas responsibility was found at the $SnO_2$ thin film annealed at $60^{\circ}C$ with amorphous structure because of the combination with the oxygen vacancies and $CO_2$ gases changed the resistivity. The amorphous structure enhanced the responsibility at the $SnO_2$ surface and the conductivity of $SnO_2$ thin film.

해양환경용 알루미늄 합금 재료의 전기화학적 부식 손상 특성 (Electrochemical Corrosion Damage Characteristics of Aluminum Alloy Materials for Marine Environment)

  • In this study, various electrochemical experiments were carried out to compare the corrosion characteristics of AA5052-O, AA5083-H321 and AA6061-T6 in seawater. The electrochemical impedance and potentiostatic polarization measurements showed that the corrosion resistance is decreased in the order of AA5052-O, AA5083-H321 and AA6061-T6, with AA5052-O being the highest resistant. This is closely associated with the property of passive film formed on three tested Al alloys. Based on the slope of Mott-Schottky plots of an n-type semiconductor, the density of oxygen vacancies in the passive film formed on the alloys was determined. This revealed that the defect density is increased in the order of AA5052-O, AA5083-H321 and AA6061-T6. Considering these facts, it is implied that the addition of Mg, Si, and Cu to the Al alloys can degrade the passivity, which is characterized by a passive film structure containing more defect sites, contributing to the decrease in corrosion resistance in seawater.

AISI 316L스테인리스강의 소형펀치 크리프 거동에 미치는 마찰계수의 영향 (Effect of Friction Coefficient on the Small Punch Creep Behavior of AISI 316L Stainless Steel)

  • Small punch creep testing has received attention due to the convenience of using smaller specimens than those of conventional uniaxial creep tests, which enables creep testing on developing or currently operational components. However, precedent studies have shown that it is necessary to consider friction between the punch and specimen when computing uniaxial equivalent stress from a finite element model. In this study, small punch creep behaviors of AISI 316L stainless steel, which is widely used in high temperature-high pressure machineries, have been compared for the two different ceramic balls such as $Si_3N_4$ and $Al_2O_3$. The optimal range of the friction coefficient is 0.4~0.5 at $650^{\circ}C$ for the best fit between experimental and simulation data of AISI 316 L stainless steel. The higher the friction coefficient, the longer the creep rupture time is. Therefore, the type of ceramic ball used must be specified for standardization of small punch creep testing.

생체내의 혈중이온농도 예측을 위한 마이크로 pH-ISFET프로브의 개발 (Development of a Micro pH-ISFET Probe for in vivo Measurements of the Ion Concentration in Blood)

  • A micro pH-ISFET probe, which can be applied to the in vivo measurements of the hydrogen ion concentration in blood, has been developed, and a measuring system equiped with this probe also developed. The pH-ISFET has been fatricated by employing the techniques of integrated circuit fabrication. Two kinds of micro electrode formed around the sensing gate during the wafer process, and the other is a capillary type of Ag/AfCl/sat. KCI reduced in size. This capillary electrode has shown its good performance characteristics so far in the application with ISFET as well as a commercial one. In order to form a micro pH-ISFET probe, this pH-ISFET and well as a commercial one. In order to form a micro pH-ISFET probe, this pH-ISFET and the capillary electrode were built together into a needle tip having 1 mm inner diameter. The chip size of a twin pH-ISFET is 0.8 mmx1.4 mm, the material of the sensing gate membrane is Si3N4, and the sensitivity of the developed probe is about 52mV/pH.

연속 드레싱 공정을 이용한 엔지니어링 세라믹스의 평면 연삭 가공에 관한 연구 (A study on the surface grinding machining of Engineering ceramics using "In-process dressing" method)

  • Engineering ceramics have some excellent properties as the material for the mechanical components. It is, however, very difficult to grind ceramics with high efficiency because of their high strength, hardness and brittleness. In this paper experiments are carried out to obtain the effect of "In-process dressing" to grind the Engineering ceramics with high efficiency. To save running time for dressing process and obtain restraint effect of diamond grain wear, "In-process dressing" system usint WA stick type honing stone is proposed. Representative High Strength Engineering ceramics A1$_{2}$O$_{3}$ and Si$_{3}$N$_{4}$are ground with diamond wheel. Also bending strengrh test is carried out to check upward tendancy of mecahnical properties as the result of machining defact restraint through the grinding maching method using "In-process dressing" process. Some results obtained in this study provide useful information to attain the high efficency grinding and the high mechanical properties of Engineering ceramics.rties of Engineering ceramics.

Tivozanib-induced activation of the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway and suppression of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition in oral squamous cell carcinoma

  • The potential of tivozanib as a treatment for oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) was explored in this study. We investigated the effects of tivozanib on OSCC using the Ca9-22 and CAL27 cell lines. OSCC is a highly prevalent cancer type with a significant risk of lymphatic metastasis and recurrence, which necessitates the development of innovative treatment approaches. Tivozanib, a vascular endothelial growth factor receptor inhibitor, has shown efficacy in inhibiting neovascularization in various cancer types but has not been thoroughly studied in OSCC. Our comprehensive assessment revealed that tivozanib effectively inhibited OSCC cells. This was accompanied by the suppression of Bcl-2, a reduction in matrix metalloproteinase levels, and the induction of intrinsic pathway-mediated apoptosis. Furthermore, tivozanib contributed to epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) inhibition by increasing E-cadherin levels while decreasing N-cadherin levels. These findings highlight the substantial anticancer potential of tivozanib in OSCC and thus its promise as a therapeutic option. Beyond reducing cell viability and inducing apoptosis, the capacity of tivozanib to inhibit EMT and modulate key proteins presents the possibility of a paradigm shift in OSCC treatment.
