Interoperability Framework between GRID and PACS based on Web Services (웹서비스 기반의 Grid-PACS 상호운용성 프레임워크)

  • Recently the increasing collaborative research requires the remote medical and clinical data sharing and access of external institutions. In this paper, an interoperability framework between Grid and PACS using Web services is proposed and implemented in order to provide flexible and efficient medical data management. The Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine(DICOM) standard defines medical image data exchange and transfer between PACSs and image databases. However, medical data exchange between hospitals is limited within the trusted and static environments. Moreover, DICOM does not provide medical data management and the Grid middleware does not include standard toolkit to access DICOM data. To address this issue, a Web services-based Grid Service Mediator (WGSM) which provides PACS integration and medical image data management is developed. The WGSM consists of several service mediators such as compress mediator, GridFTP mediator, RFT mediator, MyProxy mediator, MDS mediator, and RLS mediator and others. The proposed Web services-based framework provides user authentication and secure data access between PACSs in collaborative environments. In particular, the WGSM allows ordinary users to access remote PACS data in a simple and efficient manner without any the knowledge about underlying Grid middleware.

  • With the recent increase in the types of services provided by Internet companies, collection of various types of data has become a necessity. Data collectors corresponding to web services profit by collecting users' data indiscriminately and providing it to the associated services. However, the data provider remains unaware of the manner in which the data are collected and used. Furthermore, the data collector of a web service consumes web resources by generating a large amount of web traffic. This traffic can damage servers by causing service outages. In this study, we propose a website search engine that employs a system that controls user information using blockchains and builds its database based on the recorded information. The system is divided into three parts: a collection section that uses proxy, a management section that uses blockchains, and a search engine that uses a built-in database. This structure allows data sovereigns to manage their data more transparently. Search engines that use blockchains do not use internet bots, and instead use the data generated by user behavior. This avoids generation of traffic from internet bots and can, thereby, contribute to creating a better web ecosystem.

  • The main purpose of this paper is to present data about schm constructions in English and to examine them within the framework of Optimality Theory. American people sometimes reduplicate a word in deprecation using a prefix schm- or shm-, as in fancy-shmancy, and old-shmold. In these data, reduplicants surface as a copy of the whole word except the onset of the first syllable, which is replaced with schm. My data include some examples where the onset of the second syllable, not the first syllable, within the word reduplication is deleted and replaced with fixed segmentism schm, which seems to be infix rather than prefix. Above all, this study presents concrete evidence for the existence and function of ‘syllable’ and ‘foot’ known as prosodic categories by examining schm reduplication. Such extensions of schm-reduplcation also make predictions about types of outputs corresponding to their inputs.

The Formation of Information Network on Chemical Safety with Toxicological Data in China

  • China is an Asia country with population more than 1,200 millions. According to the national registration, the number Q[ chemicals commonly used in China reaches 80,000, and the number of chemicals produced in China is more than 30,000, about 10% of which has been evaluated for safety and has the toxicological data. Most of the chemicals still need safety evaluation and a part of chemicals need a renewed evaluation. At present. the information techniques and telecommunication network are develop-ing widely and intensively. It is used not only in different institutions and enterprises, but also in many governmental sectors in my country. Here is the introduction of the situation of information network on chemical safety with toxicological data and the work done by different institutions and governmental sectors in China.

  • In this paper, we propose a study on DB-based automatic crop cultivation that obtains crop cultivation data using IOT and automatically controls the cultivation environment using it. A system for DB-based automatic crop cultivation that automatically controls the cultivation environment is composed of a management server and a local controller. The management server was implemented using the MySQL DB in the Linux server system, and the local controller was designed and manufactured using the WiFi module and ARM Coretax-3 series MCU and confirmed its operation in the laboratory. The purpose of this study is to provide the optimal cultivation data and to grasp the cultivation status in real time when the knowledge of professional cultivation is needed like the farmers of ear farm villages. Research should continue to enable the cultivation of crops to reflect the requirements of each user.

  • In general, the most of GIS is only deal with the material and geometric data which are position, radius, length etc except a corrosion data. In present, the owner of metallic structures having an interest in that my structures do corrode or not and how many life time is there? So, we need the development of GIS interconnected corrosion prediction system on the view point of the efficiency of operation and the protection for big accident. The results of development of its system are described in this paper. It can do life prediction and interference analysis and also newest corrosion data should be updated regularly.

  • This Paper will use various analysis tools that have not been used a lot by the existing researches, and also use the statistics of trade until August 2007 to measure and analyze the trade relationship between China and Korea. This study, which is basic study to studies to be conducted later, has been performed to establish effective economic cooperative relations between Korea and China by examining trade structure of the two countries through trade-related indexes. Therefore, this study has academic values as a theoretical study which can explain economic effects of the Korea-China FTA. However, as data used for this study was based on the data of the National Statistics Office in general, this study was executed with realistic limitations owing to lack of local data. I will supplement this later and do my best to conduct a precise study.

  • Papillomaviruses infect a wide variety of animals, including humans. The human papillomavirus (HPV), in particular, is one of the most common causes of sexually transmitted disease. More than 200 types of HPV have been identified by DNA sequence data, and 85 HPV genotypes have been well char­acterized to date. HPV can infect the basal epithelial cells of the skin or inner tissue linings, and are, accordingly, categorized as either cutaneous or mucosal type. HPV is associated with a panoply of clin­ical conditions, ranging from innocuous lesions to cervical cancer. In the early 1980s, studies first reported a link between cervical cancer and genital HPV infection. Genital HPV infections are now rec­ognized to be a major risk factor in at least $95\%$ of cervical cancers. 30 different HPV genotypes have been identified as causative of sexually transmitted diseases, most of which induce lesions in the cervix, vagina, vulva, penis, and anus, as the result of sexual contact. There is also direct evidence demon­strating that at least four of these genotypes are prerequisite factors in cervical cancer. The main aim of this review was to evaluate the current literature regarding the pathovirology, diagnostics, vaccines, therapy, risk groups, and further therapeutic directions for HPV infections. In addition, we reviewed the current status of HPV infections in South Korean women, as evidenced by our data.

Large-Memory Data Processing on a Remote Memory System using Commodity Hardware (대용량 메모리 데이타 처리를 위한 범용 하드웨어 기반의 원격 메모리 시스템)

  • This article presents a novel infrastructure for large-memory database processing using commodity hardware with operating system support. We exploit inexpensive PCs and a high-speed network capable of Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) operations to build a new memory hierarchy between fast volatile memory and slow disk storage. The new memory hierarchy guarantees a reasonable response time, and its storage size enables us to run large-memory database systems with little performance degradation. The proposed architecture has two main components: (1) a remote memory system inside the Linux kernel to manage other computers' memory pages efficiently and (2) a remote memory pager responsible for manipulating remote read/write operations on remote memory pages. We insist that the proposed architecture is practical enough to support the rigorous demands of commercial in-memory database systems by demonstrating the performance of publicly available main-memory databases (e.g., MySQL) on our prototyped system. The experimental results show very interesting results from the TPC-C benchmark.

Relationship between the Sense of Crisis and Quality of Life of Middle-aged Women (중년기 여성의 위기감과 삶의 질 관계)

  • The purpose of this research is to understand the levels of crisis and quality of life and the relationship between them. Data was collected from questionnaires completed by 384 middle-aged women between 40 and 59 years old. The sense of crisis was measured by a scale which was developed by Kim(1988) and modified by Oh(1999). The quality of life was measured by the scale which was developed by Noh(1988). The data was analyzed using the SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) program and included: descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and stepwise regression. The results of this study were as follows: 1) In the sense of crisis scale, 'experiencing emptiness and powerlessness through my friends is the highest item($3.56{\pm}1.06$). 'Meaninglessness in daily living' factor's score is $3.16{\pm}0.76$ and another factor, 'concept of my life thus far' score is $2.89{\pm}0.74$. Then the former is higher than the latter. 2) In the quality of life, 'eat well now' is the highest item($3.60{\pm}0.93$). 'self-esteem' is the highest factor($3.37{\pm}0.62$) and 'emotional state' is the lowest factor($2.89{\pm}0.31$). 3) According to the correlation between factors of crisis and quality of life, there was a significant negative correlation between two factors of crisis and five factors of quality of life except emotional state. 4) According to linear regression, two factors of the sense of crisis showed the explanatory power of the quality of life with 31.6%. On the basis of above findings, the following is suggested; Crisis is not precipitated by special events and new accidents, but the normal emotional change phenomena process in the human life cycle. As a result, we should develop the nursing programs and education programs about crisis intervention for middle-aged women's health.
