In the Western Philosophy that was centered on reason, sense has been belittled as a low level of conception under reason. However, the 21st century modern visual environment pushes away the epistemology centered on reason and puts 'sensuality' and 'sense' on its place. Especially, public films are one of the fields that rapidly reflect such changes and lead the changes. However, unfortunately, it is difficult to find such efforts that reflect the artistic and aesthetic significance of sense from the public films. It is because that sense is considered superficial and somewhat not real, while recognizing sense as the low level of conception under reason over the long history. Given the fact, this study reviews the by Gilles Deleuze, a modern philosopher who gives a new value on sense, and it would be meaningful to analyze the works of Chris Cunningham who makes films with the concept of Gilles Deleuze. After we analyzed three music videos of Aphex Twin directed by Chris Cunningham, we can ascertain that the films are based on body without Oranges, hysteric, and diagram that are suggested from by Gilles Deleuze. Analyzing recently released films centered on 'sense' in a superficial manner that includes production method or picture composition, including the films of Chris Cunningham, falls into the error of overlooking the director's aesthetics. Understanding the modern logic of sense that is newly developing, studying its substance, and analyzing the films will make a sacrifice of suggesting a new alternative.

Due to the development of video sharing platforms, the amount of video uploads is exploding. Such videos often include various types of music, among which cover songs are included. In order to protect the copyright of music, an algorithm to find the original song of the cover song is essential. However, it is not easy to find the original song because the cover song is a modification of the composition, speed and overall structure of the original song. So far, there is no known effective algorithm for searching the original song of the cover song. In this paper, we propose an algorithm for searching the original song of the cover song using the inflection points of the melody line. Inflection points represent the characteristic points of change in the melody sequence. The proposed algorithm compares the original song and the cover song using the sequence of inflection points for the representative phrase of the original song. Since the characteristics of the representative phrase are used, even if the cover song is a song made by modifying the overall composition of the song, the algorithm's search performance is excellent. Also, since the proposed algorithm uses only the features of the inflection point sequence, the memory usage is very low. The efficiency of the algorithm was verified through performance evaluation.

In this paper, we propose an efficient feature extraction and image retrieval algorithm for content-based retrieval method. First, we extract the object using Gaussian edge detector for input image which is key frames of MPEG video and extract the object features that are location feature, distributed dimension feature and invariant moments feature. Next, we extract the characteristic color feature using the proposed HAQ(Histogram Analysis md Quantization) algorithm. Finally, we implement an retrieval of four features in sequence with the proposed matching method for query image which is a shot frame except the key frames of MPEG video. The purpose of this paper is to propose the novel content-based image retrieval algerian which retrieves the key frame in the shot boundary of MPEG video belonging to the scene requested by user. The experimental results show an efficient retrieval for 836 sample images in 10 music videos using the proposed algorithm.
In this paper, we describe a fuzzy inference approach for detecting and classifying shot transitions in video sequences. Our approach basically extends FAM (Fuzzy Associative Memory) to detect and classify shot transitions, including cuts, fades and dissolves. We consider a set of feature values that characterize differences between two consecutive frames as input fuzzy sets, and the types of shot transitions as output fuzzy sets. The inference system proposed in this paper is mainly composed of a learning phase and an inferring phase. In the learning phase, the system initializes its basic structure by determining fuzzy membership functions and constructs fuzzy rules. In the inferring phase, the system conducts actual inference using the constructed fuzzy rules. In order to verify the performance of the proposed shot transition detection method experiments have been carried out with a video database that includes news, movies, advertisements, documentaries and music videos.

While the management of digital contents is getting more and more important, many researchers have studied about scene change detection algorithms to reduce similar scenes in the video contents and to efficiently summarize video data. The algorithms using histogram and pixel information are found out as being sensitive to light changes and motion. Therefore, visual rhythm gets used in recent work to solve this problem, which shows some characteristics of scenes and requires even less computational power. In this paper, a new scene detection algorithm using visual rhythm by direction is proposed. The proposed algorithm needs less computational power and is able to keep good performance even in the scenes with motion. Experimental results show the performance improvement of about 30% comparing with conventional methods with histogram. They also show that the proposed algorithm is able to keep the same performance even to music video contents with lots of motion.

The role of sound in producing 3D animation clip is one of the important factor to maximize the immersive effects of the scene. Especially interaction between video and sound makes the scene expressions more apparent, which is diversely applied in video production. One of these interaction techniques, the out-focussing technique is frequently used in both real video and 3D animation field. But in 3D animation, out-focussing is not easily implemented as in music videos or explosion scenes in real video shots. This paper analyzes the sound data to synchronize the depth of field with it. The novel out-focussing technique is proposed, where the object's field of depth is controlled by beat rhythm in the sound data.
This study analyzed the effects of YouTube comments on belated hit in music chart by focusing on VIDITOR's YouTube channel video called 'BraveGirs_Rollin_comment_Collection'. For this, first of all, it investigated how the comments used by the channel master could achieve storytelling. Moreover, the reason for its popularity hit was researched by analyzing the comments made by users on this video through the 'Tipping point' rules. As a result, it was seen that this video created storytelling by connecting Brave Girls to the story of the Korean army. At the 'Tipping point,' besides, it was revealed that 'the law of the few' is the military, and 'the stickiness factor' is the good image left through Korea's island, 'Baengnyeongdo,' performance. Finally, the rule of 'the power of context' was indicated that it is a difficult reality situation because of COVID-19 and the good situation due to direct communication through the comments of Brave Girls' members and the company.
This paper proposes an automatic indexing algorithm of golf video using audio information. In the proposed algorithm, the input audio stream is demultiplexed into the stream of video and audio. By means of Adaboost-cascade classifier, the continuous audio stream is classified into announcer's speech segment recorded in studio, music segment accompanied with players' names on TV screen, reaction segment of audience according to the play, reporter's speech segment with field background, filed noise segment like wind or waves. And golf swing sound including drive shot, iron shot, and putting shot is detected by the method of impulse onset detection and modulation spectrum verification. The detected swing and applause are used effectively to index action or highlight unit. Compared with video based semantic analysis, main advantage of the proposed system is its small computation requirement so that it facilitates to apply the technology to embedded consumer electronic devices for fast browsing.
Fingernail-related content on YouTube is gaining popularity. This study aimed to present a new direction for nail content marketing and video production by identifying the current status of nail-related content on YouTube and factors affecting views. As for the research method, the study used the YouTube website, and the elements under analysis were classified into YouTuber characteristics (verbal characteristics, age group, gender, professional status, and celebrity status) and content characteristics (nail field, editing elements, and content). The results showed that standard language and terminology were generally used, and the proportion of YouTubers in their 30s was high. All nail-related content creators on YouTube were women, and they were found to be experts who worked as nail artists and nail content creators. As for the content characteristics, the proportion of art videos was high, and the video length was found mostly to be between 10 and 20 minutes. The editing elements included images, videos, and subtitles, and sound effects and background music were used frequently. Finally, it was found that the proportion of videos providing nail tips and know-how, product information, and procedures was high. This study identified factors that influence the number of views for nail videos. As a result, the study was able to present video production ideas for newcomers starting a nail-content YouTube channel, and this will be helpful in the development of nail content.
Nowadays, crowdfunding presents a promising development. This research focuses on the influence of platform strategy and market response on the success of crowdfunding from the perspective of the elaboration likelihood model (ELM) theory. Detailed product specifications, crowdfunding difficulty coefficient, vivid advertising video such as introduction and music, and recommendations from relevant figures are all used to depict platform strategy. Meanwhile, we use the number of lovers, followers, comments and 1 RMB backers to measure the level of market response. And thus, we model the impact of platform strategy and market response on crowdfunding success with empirical studies based on 400 samples of observed value. We found firstly that there exist significant positive relations between the total amount of funds pledged and detailed product specification, vivid advertising video, recommendations from relevant figures and the number of 1 RMB backers. Secondly, the crowdfunding difficulty of projects affects negatively, and significantly, the total amount of funds pledged. Thirdly, the influence of the number of lovers and followers on funds pledged is not significant.
