Even if Internet has been used very much, there is no method of music aptitude test for children. We develop the music aptitude test in the internet to make music aptitude test easily. We test children for music aptitude early. We provide children the learning and instruction environment. This research makes children improve the ability of music. We develop the music aptitude test system for children in the WWW for children to use it. This system is expected to be a great help for children to test music aptitude easily. This system establish a well-understood and maintenance through this system for replacing the data files of their children in a effective way.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to develop a music making program that utilizes the characteristics of the picture books medium through the ADDIE model so that teachers can easily apply it to children, and to determine whether it affects children's musical aptitude and music creativity. Methods: The Participants of the study were 42 five-year-old children attending a daycare in Seoul, of which 20 were in the experimental group and 22 in the comparative group. The experimental group participated in a music production program using picture books, and during the same period, the comparison group participated in music activities suggested by the Nuri Course. Using the SPSS 22.0 program, average, standard deviation, independent sampling t-test, and ANCOVA(Analysis of Covariance) were calculated. Results: The music making program using picture books improved children's rhythm and tone which are the sub-items of music aptitude. The music making program enhanced children's music flexibility, music creativity, music logic which are the sub-items of music creativity. Conclusion/Implications: The music making program presented systemic teaching-learning method with which teachers explained the modeling and practiced from simple activities to various activities repeatedly in order to make teachers approach music making more easily. It is recommendable to make the music making program by using I-pad and computers.
According to Edwin Gordon(1987, 1997, 2003), music aptitude is a product of interaction of innate potential and early environmental experiences. He referred to music aptitude of children up to nine years of age as developmental music aptitude which fluctuates due to musical environment. Music aptitude stabilizes at age nine, and the music aptitude after age nine is called "stabilized music aptitude". This research is to examine Gorden's hypothesis that the younger a child receives music education, the higher music aptitude. Also, this research is to experiment the effect of Audiation activities developed in Audie Music Curriculum on music aptitude. The researcher and another Audie teacher as a co-teacher guided children together for 30 minutes once a week. The pedagogy guidelines for informal guidance in music learning theory were kept throughout the classes. Also, Audie's teaching method which had been developed for Korean Kindergarten educational environment was also applied. Five-year-old subjects in Experimental group 1 experienced the Audie Music Curriculum of one year; five-year-old subjects in Experimental group 2 experienced it for two years. Primary Measures of Music Audiation was administered three times during their last year of Kindergarten. Subjects in the Control groups, one examined at the beginning and the other at the end of their last year in Kindergarten, received no Audie instruction. There was no significant difference in tonal aptitude, but there was significant difference in rhythmic aptitude(p< .05) among the experiemental groups. Because both Experimental groups showed statistical significance (p< .001) in the music aptitude increase during their academic years, the significant differences of the year-end music aptitude between control group and experimental groups were the expected result.

Background and Objectives: The influence of musical aptitude on cognitive test performance in musicians is a long-debated research question. Evidence points to the low performance of nonmusicians in visual and auditory cognitive tasks (working memory and attention) compared with musicians. This cannot be generalized to all nonmusicians, as a sub-group in this population can have innate musical abilities even without any formal musical training. The present study aimed to study the effect of musical aptitude on the working memory and selective attention. Subjects and Methods: Three groups of 20 individuals each (a total of 60 participants), including trained-musicians, nonmusicians with good musical aptitude, and nonmusicians with low musical aptitude, participated in the present study. Cognitive-based visual (Flanker's selective attention test) and auditory (working memory tests: backward digit span and operation span) tests were administered. Results: MANOVA (followed by ANOVA) revealed a benefit of musicianship and musical aptitude on backward digit span and Flanker's reaction time (p<0.05). Discriminant function analyses showed that the groups could be effectively (accuracy, 80%) segregated based on the backward digit span and Flanker's selective attention test. Trained musicians and nonmusicians with good musical aptitude were distinguished as one cluster and nonmusicians with low musical aptitude formed another cluster, hinting the role of musical aptitude in working memory and selective attention. Conclusions: Nonmusicians with good musical aptitude can have enhanced working memory and selective attention skills like musicians. Hence, caution is required when these individuals are included as controls in cognitive-based visual and auditory experiments.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to provide basic materials for defining educational direction of dental hygiene department and establishing the instruction to improve direction consulting and academic effect of dental hygiene department student. Methods : The researcher surveyed the relation among job aptitude, academic ability and academic performance by selecting 131 dental hygiene department students of P university as study targets. Results : For high school classifications, direction searches and academic abilities of dental hygiene department students of P university, it was found that classical high school was 68.7% and vocational high school was 31.3%. For job aptitude, social type was 58.0% and artistic type was 26.0% so they were usual. For academic ability, interpersonal relation($12.78{\pm}1.34$), music/rhythm was($12.32{\pm}1.09$) and natural($12.32{\pm}1.00$) showed high scores in order over the first, the second and the third field and language/vocabulary(22.6%) and music/rhythm(21.6%) was the next. For academic performance depending on high school classification, job aptitude and academic ability, there was a significant difference in high school classification by classical high school($86.55{\pm}8.21$) and vocational high school($85.34{\pm}11.31$)(p<0.05) and there was also a significant difference in job aptitude by social type($85.45{\pm}9.42$) and artistic type($88.41{\pm}6.93$)(p<0.05). In the mutual relation between academic ability and academic performance, the high academic ability score in the first field was led to the high score in the second and the third field, showing significant mutual relation(p<0.00). Conclusions : This research has been accomplished by college students of dental hygeine department, so you have to consider before generalizing these results. Therefore it is required to research more, likewise using a comparison with other students or it should be conducted by general people.
This study examines children's responses on Audie music activity based on Gordon's Music Learning Method. Subjects of study were 3 five year old children(2 boys, 1 girl) in kindergarten. Data collection drew from participatory observation, researcher journal, the classroom teacher interview. Where more specific data were necessary, video and digital camera recorded. The data were described, analyzed, and interpreted. The main findings in this study are as follows : The children who participated in Audie music activity showed desirable changes in many ways. Their music listening attitude was the one that changed most remarkably. At the beginning activity application, the children were not naturally and could not listen attentively while researcher was singing song without words. Gradually children could listen attentively to the researcher's singing without words. Through the Audie music activity, the children began to think carefully the tone and rhythm of music and to express themselves freely and creatively. At the beginning activity application, the children who showed negative responses and blocked up activity became gradually able to show positive aptitude and to amuse. Also the children who showed passive attitude and no responses became gradually able to react spontaneously.
Since the pre-existing music itself used in has no direct relation to the film, it raises the question of whether it was properly utilized as film music. The purpose of this paper is to clarify that 's 20th century modern music effectively fulfills the role of film music through iconicity with images. This study approached the similarity between the character of fear and the form of music through Hanslick's formal aesthetics to discuss the use of 20th century modern music in the horror film. The formal characteristics of music are observed in the movement of notes, which are similar to the fearful state of mind mentioned by Heidegger. In the analysis, the stagnant movement and the continuity of notes, the special playing method of the musical instrument, the unspecified trembling of the clustered notes, the melody of the weak intensity in the high-pitched range, the smash of percussions, and the progression of the notes that deviate from the center confirms the aptitude of 20th century modern music in the horror film. The fact that this study did not simply rely on the emotions represented in the 20th century modern music, but thoroughly caught the movements of the notes, has great significance in the research of film .
Teachers in music(including Korean traditional music) gifted education are a significant variable in both identifying the giftedness of students and a successful instruction. The purpose of this study is to develop the Scale for Screening the Qualified Teachers for the Gifted in Korean traditional and western Music(SSQTGM), and to examine the validity and reliability of the SSQTGM. To achieve this purpose, this study administered the SSQTGM to 175 teachers of gifted students aged between 13 and 15 in middle schools for the arts. To validate the SSQTGM, I analyzed the criteria of the SSQTGM, and conducted an exploratory and confirmative factor analysis. I also examined an internal consistency. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, I finally collected 41 items of the SSQTGM. Futhermore, I could identify psychological constructs of the qualified teachers for the gifted in Korean traditional and western music. In consequence of the confirmative factor analysis, the model provided a good fit to observe data. As a result of the reliability analysis, the internal consistency of knowledge in the music(korean traditional music) verified cronbach's ${\alpha}=.937$, and the expertise of the class management and instruction verified cronbach's ${\alpha}=.942$. Also, the teachers' aptitude and personality verified cronbach's ${\alpha}=.963$. This result of the construct validation reflects the fact that the SSQTGM is an available scale that can be applied in gifted education field instantly.
The purpose of this study was to perform a content analysis on 62 domestic and international journals from 1998 to 2017, in order to review research trends in music and people with visual impairments. The framework of the content analysis was based on the year of publication, field of journal, research method, type of research, research subject, participants' age, and factors of impairment. The results showed that both domestic and international journals have rapidly increased in the last 10 years, and have expanded into the fields of education and therapy. In the research method, survey research was conducted much more frequently in domestic journals, while both qualitative and experimental research were employed on a roughly even basis in international journals. With respect to the type and subject of research, music perception and recent trends on the subject of musical interest and aptitude took up the majority of domestic journals, while international journals focused on music intervention, music perception and cognition with musical influences and experiences. The participants in both domestic and international journals were children, adolescents and adults, while the elderly were not observed. In the factors of impairment, research on people with total blindness or low vision were conducted frequently, but those with adventitious vision loss or multiple impairments were rarely performed. This study could be meaningful to suggest the direction of further studies, through the investigation of research trends in music and people with visual impairments.
