  • This article addresses the problem of measuring a joint agreement between multiple raters and a standard set of responses. A new agreement measure based on Um's approach is proposed. The proposed agreement measure is used for multivariate interval responses. Comparison is made between the proposed measure and other corresponding agreement measures using hypothetical data set.

  • Linear regression is the most basic statistical model for exploring the relationship between a numerical response variable and several explanatory variables. Logistic regression secures the role of linear regression for the dichotomous response variable. In this paper, we propose a biplot-type display of the multivariate data guided by the linear regression and/or the logistic regression. The figures show the directional flow of the response variable as well as the interrelationship of explanatory variables.

  • Recently, the multivariate statistical analysis has been used to analyze meaningful information for various data. In this paper, we develope the multivariate statistical analysis system combined with Fisher discriminant analysis, logistic regression, neural network, and decision tree using visual basic 6.0.

  • A test is suggested for detecting deviations from both multivariate normality and independence. This test can be used for assessing the normality and independence of univariate time series residuals. We derive the limiting distribution of the test statistic and a simulation study is conducted to study the accuracy of the limiting distribution in finite samples. Finally, we apply our method to a real data of time series.

  • The testing problem for sphericity structure of the covariance matrix in a multivariate normal distribution is introduced when there is a sample with 2-step monotone missing data pattern. The maximum likelihood method is described to estimate the parameters on the basis of the sample. Using these estimates, the likelihood ratio criterion for testing sphericity is derived.

  • Multivariate data analysis tools were used to improve the understanding of the wet end chemistry and white water system of the Papermill at NorskeCanada Crofton Division. Specifically, the analysis was aimed at identifying what variables were contributing to increased retention aid use and wet end instability. Several models were developed using data sets with up to 88 process variables and over 3000 observations. It was found that increased retention aid use was driven primarily by PCC and TMP usage as well as the addition of Alaskan White Spruce to the TMP furnish.

  • We propose some properties of fuzzy multivariate analysis of variance by fuzzy vector operation with agreement index. We deals fuzzy null hypotheses and fuzzy alternative hypothesis and define the agreement index for the grades of the judgements that the hypothesis is rejection or acceptance. Finally, we provide an example to evaluate the judgements.

  • For the two groups data from multivariate binomial distribution, we consider a bootstrap approach to inferring the simultaneous confidence level and its standard error of a collection of the dependent confidence intervals for the difference of proportions with an experimentwise error rate at the a level are presented. The bootstrap method is used to estimate the simultaneous confidence probability for the difference of proportions.

  • We searched out in the votes data of the State of Florida at presidential election 2000. We used a multivariate regression analysis. We got there were several outliers including Palm Beach County. It means that we should analyze the number of disqualified ballots which were double-punched as well as the votes, to insist the " Butterfly Ballot" made Palm Beach outlier.

  • Quantile regression models provide a variety of useful statistical information by estimating the conditional quantile function of the response variable. However, the traditional linear quantile regression model can lead to the distorted and incorrect results when analysing real data having a nonlinear relationship between the explanatory variables and the response variables. Furthermore, as the complexity of the data increases, it is required to analyse multiple response variables simultaneously with more sophisticated interpretations. For such reasons, we propose a multivariate quantile regression tree model. In this paper, a new split variable selection algorithm is suggested for a multivariate regression tree model. This algorithm can select the split variable more accurately than the previous method without significant selection bias. We investigate the performance of our proposed method with both simulation and real data studies.
