Optimal position of access point (AP) is important for multi-gigabit wireless transmission in terahertz (THz) wireless local area network (WLAN)-type applications, where there exist the THz characteristic multiple clusters in channel propagation. By considering the multiple clusters in THz indoor communications, this paper investigates the optimal AP position when two APs are issued for increasing the system capacity. Numerical results reveal that the central position of each AP within each half service region, which offers the shortest cumulated path length for line-of-sight paths, is optimal to achieve the maximal system capacity.

The aim of this paper is to define the required measurements and processing tools necessary for developing a maintenance approach applied to rotating machines in the presence of multiple faults. The system responses measured were accelerations and transmission errors. Acceleration measurements provide most of the information on bearing conditions, while transmission error measurements provide pertinent information on gear conditions. The measurements were carried out for several operating conditions (loads and speeds). System responses were processed in several analyzing domains (Time, Spectrum, and Cepstrum domains). The approach developed enables the detection and identification of combined faults and it can be applied to other types of rotating machines once the critical elements and their associated faults have been defined.

고품질, 고속 데이터 전송을 요구하는 제 3세대 무선 통신 시스템에서는 페이딩 현상에 효과적으로 대처하기 위한 방안으로 여러 가지 다이버시티 기법이 연구되어 왔다. 특히 최근 들어 MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) 시스템에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있으며, 이러한 추세에 부합하여 송수신단에 여러 개의 안테나를 사용하여 수신단의 SNR을 최대화하는 MRT (Maximum Ratio Transmission) 기법이 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 플랫페이딩 (flat Fading) 채널에 국한된 기존의 MRT 연구 결과를 확장하여 다중 경로 페이딩 채널에 대한 MRT 기법을 유도하고 성능을 분석하였으며, 이를 검증하기 위하여 모의실험을 수행하여 다중경로 및 안테나 수에 따른 비트오율 성능을 제시하였다

본 연구에서는 cdma2000기술에 기반한 IMT-2000에서 CDMA MAC을 이용한 실시간 데이터 및 비실시간 데이타를 효율적으로 전송할 수 잇는 다중 엑세스 기법을 제안한다. 이 방식은 깆노의 회선형 방식과 달리 패킷형 서비스를 지원하다. 실시간 데이타의 가변 전송률에 근거한 대역의 통계적 다중화 기법을 통하여 가임자 용량을 극대화하였다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 전송 지연고 채널 이용률 등의 성능을 회선형 방식과 비교한다.

본 논문에서는 패킷 데이터 서비스를 지원하는 DS/CDMA 시스템에서 역방향 링크의 대기 패킷 버스트들이 겪는 평균 전송 시간을 최소화하기 위한 여러 가지 패킷 스캐줄링 방식을 비교 분석하였다. 모든 활성화된 데이터 사용자들이 동시에 전송을 하는 경우의 최적의 스케줄링 방식에 대하여 논하고 기존의 여러 가지 다른 전송률 스케줄링 방식들과의 수학적인 비교 분석을 통하여 평균 전송 지연을 고려한 전송률 스케줄링 방식의 효율적인 지표를 제시하였다.

The eccentric rotor system has various problems by vibration of unbalance mass. Specially, it is difficult to analyze vibration problem for the drum washing machine due to correlation of transmission paths. We analyze the mechanical structure by multidimensional spectral density to identify the maximum vibration magnitude at the frequency domain. It estimates the coherence function of the signals to pass the transmission paths. In case of the drum washing machine, because the transmission paths are correlated partially it needs to determinate the priority ranking. And the correlated parts are eliminated using conditioned spectral density function. Finally the shielding effect method confirms the reasonability of the modeling.

본 논문에서는 ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) 지상파 DTV (digital television) 방송 시스템에서 부가 데이터 전송률을 향상시키면서 비트 오율 (bit error rate) 성능을 개선하기 위한 다중 안테나 부가데이터 전송 방식을 제안한다. 제안된 다중 안테나 전송방식은 Alamouti 기법을 사용하여 단일 안테나 전송 방식에 비해 신호대 잡음비 이득을 얻는다. 또한, 제안하는 전송 방식은 기존의 ATSC 지상파 DTV 수신기와 역호환성을 가진다는 장점이 있다.

Avian-origin H3N2 canine influenza A viruses (CIVs) have become enzootic in China and Korea and have sporadically transmitted to North America, causing multiple epidemics. We isolated six CIVs in Korea from CIV-infected patients during 2014-2017 and conducted whole genome sequencing and phylogenetic analyses. Results revealed that CIVs have circulated and evolved in Korea since the early 2000s and then diversified into a new clade, probably contributing to multiple epidemics in China, the USA, and Canada. Our findings bridge an evolutionary gap for understanding the global transmission of CIVs, emphasizing the significance of continuous monitoring of CIVs.

The cascaded H-Bridge Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) is used for protecting high voltage and large capacity loads from voltage sags. The LC filter in the DVR is needed to eliminate switching ripples, which also provides an accurate tracking feature in a certain frequency range. Therefore, the parameter optimization of the LC filter is especially important. In this paper, the value range functions for the inductance and capacitance in LC filters are discussed. Then, parameter variations under different conditions of voltage sags and power factors are analyzed. In addition, an optimized design method is also proposed with the consideration of multiple impact factors. A detailed optimization procedure is presented, and its validity is demonstrated by simulation and experimental results. Both results show that the proposed method can improve the LC filter design for a cascaded H-Bridge DVR and enhance the performance of the whole system.
