Selection of the best operating rule among a set of alternatives for a multipurpose reservoir system operation requires to evaluate many minor criteria in addition to the major objectives assessed to the system. These problems are sufficiently complex and difficult that they are beyond heuristic decision rules and experiences in case several noncommensurable multiple criteria are included in the evaluation. With the assistance of multicriterion decision analysis techniques, it is possible to select the best one among various alternatives by systematically comparing and ranking the alternatives with respect to the criteria of choice. Evaluation criteria for multipurpose reservoir system operating rules were identified and defined, and the multicriterion decision analysis techniques were applied to evaluate the four existing operating rules of the Chungju multipurpose project according to the identified nine multiple criteria. The application results show that the methodology is very efficient to select the best operation alternative among a finite number of operating rules with many evaluation criteria for a large-scale reservoir system operation.
The decision making process for production planning in FMS usually involves multiple conflicting objectives and criteria. This study consists of prescreening and analytical phase. In the prescreening phase, criteria are used to reduce the set of alternative system configuration down to a small number of candidates. After this phase, a multiobjected programming model is formulated for each remainning configuration.
This study comprised 157 extracted teeth, 73 of the teeth originated from mates and 84 from females, the age range was 12-79 years. The correlation coefficient of each Gustafson's criteria in relation to age was carried out. Age estimation were performed on 157 teeth according to the method by Gustafson and by use of multiple regression, as used by Johanson, after evaluating the six criteria of Gustafson by multiple regression computer analysis. Two prediction formulas and standard deviations were compared with each other. The results were as follows : 1. The author found that six Gustafson's criteria had strong correlation with age except root resorption, and correlation coefficients were r = 0.79 (Transparent dentin), r=0.72 (Secondary dentin), r 0.69 (Periodontal change), r=0.63(Attrition), r = 0.39 (Root resorption), respecti vely. 2. The age estimation formula by Gustafson's method was calculated as follows: Y 8.88 + 3.52X r =0.87, r2 = 0.76, SD = 8.18, F = 483.56, P < 0.01 The age estimation formula by multiple regression was calculated as follows: Y 8.57 + 6.37T + 6.37T + 4.63P + 2.70S + 2.40C + 3.08A + 1.34R r= 0.89, r2 = 0.78, SD = 7.82, F = 91.62, P < 0.01, Durbin-Watson Coefficient = 1.09 3. In comparison of two estimation formulas, the formula by multiple regression, the method of Johanson, was found to be slightly more reliable than Gustafson's method. Gustafson's method SD = 8.18, Multiple regression (Johanson's method) SD = 7.82 4. It was reaffirmed that Gustafson's six criteria could be a independent variable in multiple regression analysis.
A power system designer may have difficulties in choosing a suitable multiple-input converter topology for a specific target application because each multiple-input converter topology presented in the literature has its own advantages and disadvantages. In this perspective, this paper presents a systematic topology selection method for multiple-input converters with three comparison criteria including cost-saving effect, modularity potential and flexibility. Based on these criteria, this paper proposes a strategic flow chart example for choosing a proper multiple-input converter topology. This flow chart will provide a powerful selection tool to a power system designer when he or she chooses a specific multiple-input converter for a given application.

Software engineers are used to analyse the error behavior of computer programs using test cases which are collected for the testing phase when software errors are detected. In actual software testing and debugging, it is important to adopt dynamic slicing technique which is concerned on all the statements to be affected by the variables of current inputs and to use technique of its implementations. The traditional dynamic slicing has focused on the single slicing criterion algorithm. It has been thought that it is needed to develope and implement algorithm for used multiple criteria variables program slicing, which finds every slicing criterion variable where it is used multiple criteria variables. In this paper, we propose an efficient algorithm to make dynamic program slices when it has used multiple criteria variables. The results of the implementation are presented by the making table on execution history and the dynamic dependence graph. Also we can find that the proposed dynamic program slicing approach using multiple criteria variables is more efficient than the traditional single case algorithm on the practical testing environment.

As flexible Bayesian test criteria for nested point null hypotheses of multiple regression coefficients, partial and overall Bayes factors are introduced under a class of intuitively meaningful prior. The criteria lead to a simple method for considering different prior beliefs on the subspaces that constitute a partition of the coefficient parameter space. A couple of tests are suggested based on the criteria. It is shown that they enable us to obtain pairwise comparisons of hypotheses of the partitioned subspaces. Through a Monte Carlo simulation, performance of the tests based on the criteria are compared with the usual Bayesian test (based on Bayes factor)in terms of their respective powers.
The purpose of this research was to determine the relation between clothing evaluative criteria and personality types. Primary factor analysis was used to classify the clothing evaluative criteria and the continual scores of Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) were used for classifying the personality types. Correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were used to determine the relation between the clothing evaluative criteria and the personality types. The data for this research were collected from questionnaires of 309 female university students in Seoul. In the results, the clothing evaluative criteria were grouped into 4 underlying dimensions: practical, situational, appearance producible and symbolic. Partially significant relations between the 4 clothing evaluative criteria and the 4 indicators of MBTI personality types were found through correlation analysis. Multiple regression analysis revealed that the variables explaining the dimension of Sensing and Intuition (SN) were appearance producible and symbolic clothing evaluative criteria; the appearance producible criterion had an inclination toward Intuition while the symbolic criterion had an inclination toward Sensing. The variable explaining the dimension of Judging and Perceiving (JP) was situational clothing evaluative criterion, which had an inclination toward Judging.
Concrete has two different failure mechanisms : compressive crushing and tensile cracking.
Concrete models should use the two different failure criteria to analyze the inelastic behavior of
concrete including multiaxial crushing and tensile cracking. Concrete models used in this study
are based on plasticity with multiple failure criteria of compressive crushing and tensile cracking.
For tensile cracking behavior, two different plasticity models are investigated. The* ,e are
rotating-crack and fixed-crack plasticity models, classified according to idealization of crack
0rientat:ions. The material models simplify inelastic behavior of concrete for plane stress
problenls. The material models are used for the finite element anlaysis. Analytical results are
compared with several experiments of reinforced concrete member. The advantages and
disadva.ntages of rotating-crack and fixed -crack plasticity models are discussed.
For any particular development project or environmental regulations, decision-making criteria is required and conflicts among criteria should be resolved. It is necessary to investigate criteria that government agencies employ in making decisions that influence the environment. The evaluation of alternative development proposals and regulatory measures involves much more than environmental issues. Economic, technical, and social factors should be considered along with environmental impacts when making evaluations. Evaluation should be based on values of all individuals who may be affected by public or private decisions. There are many evaluation methods for determining how individuals and groups value alternative public actions. Numerous weighting-scaling methodologies can be used in such evaluations. These methodologies represent adaptations of multiple-criteria or multiple-attribute decision-making techniques. Environmental risk assessment which accounts for uncertainties in choosing among alternative policies and projects is increasingly used.

Pathfinding for pedestrians provided by various navigation programs is based on a shortest path search algorithm. There is no big difference in their guide results, which makes the path quality more important. Multiple criteria should be included in the search cost to calculate the path quality, which is called a multi-criteria pathfinding. In this paper we propose a user adaptive pathfinding algorithm in which the cost function for a multi-criteria pathfinding is defined as a weighted sum of multiple criteria and the weights are learned automatically by Perceptron learning. Weight learning is implemented in two ways: short-term weight learning that reflects weight changes in real time as the user moves and long-term weight learning that updates the weights by the average value of the entire path after completing the movement. We use the weight update method with momentum for long-term weight learning, so that learning speed is improved and the learned weight can be stabilized. The proposed method is implemented as an app and is applied to various movement situations. The results show that customized pathfinding based on user preference can be obtained.
