Computer Automated Radioactive Particle Tracking (CARPT) technique has been successfully utilized to measure the velocity profiles and mixing parameters in different multiphase flow systems where a single radioactive tracer is used to track the tagged phase. However, many industrial processes use a wide range of particles with different physical properties where solid particles could vary in size, shape and density. For application in such systems, the capability of current single tracer CARPT can be advanced to track more than one particle simultaneously. Tracking multiple particles will thus enable to track the motion of particles of different size shape and density, determine segregation of particles and probing particle interactions. In this work, a newly developed Multiple Radioactive Particle Tracking technique (M-RPT) used to track two different radioactive tracers is demonstrated. The M-RPT electronics was developed that can differentiate between gamma counts obtained from the different radioactive tracers on the basis of their gamma energy peak. The M-RPT technique was validated by tracking two stationary and moving particles (Sc-46 and Co-60) simultaneously. Finally, M-RPT was successfully implemented to track two phases, solid and liquid, simultaneously in three phase slurry bubble column reactors.

Fault diagnosis problem is currently a subject of extensive research in the control field. Although there are several works on the fault detection and isolation observers and the residual generators, those are con- cerned with only the detection of actuator failures or sensor failures. So, the perfect detection and isolation for the actuator and sensor failures is strongly required in the field of the practical applications. In this paper, a strategy of fault diagnosis using multiple proportional integral (PI) observers including the magnitude of actuator failures is provided. It is shown that actuator failures are detected and isolated perfectly by monitoring the integrated error between actual output and estimated output by a PI observer. Also in presence of complex actuator and sensor failures, these failures are detected and isolated by multiple PI observers.

Since the "Low Carbon, Green Growth" as a social requirements is attracted public attention, the policies and investments of the railway which have been less estimated than road is re-considered. Since the starting the commercial service (2004. April), the KTX have been operated successfully while transport passengers over 100million for years. And also the project for development of KHST (Korea High Speed Train ; G7) had been accomplished with a good result, the first trainset of KTX-II which base on G7 project was manufactured and testing now. On the other hand, the world's technology of the high speed train is more faster, and changing to a distributed traction system. To catch up the world's leading technology, the HEMU(High-speed Electric Multiple Unit) project will secure new technology and aims to promote the technology of domestic high-speed train. The authors indicates the result of detail review such as a curve, slope of the track and electrical dead section of the catenary to test at 400kph and also the performance simulation of the developed rolling stock in this paper. As the result, the authors devise the test scenario to perform a maximum speed test (stability at max. speed, acceleration & deceleration etc) with the restricted conditions such as track length, track available time etc by considering above result.

The purpose of this study is to increase the employment rate of graduates in the fields of the S/W and H/W. In order to seek employment in various major fields of the S/W and H/W, firstly, this paper proposes the educational case study that increases the concern about employment and develops learner's ability in the unfavorable major fields. Secondly, this paper presents the future driving improvement for the employment rate on the basis of the department's special characteristics and the actual circumstances in the fields of the S/W and H/W. This paper conducts the surveys of each 40 seniors majoring in S/W and H/W respectively in order to measure the understanding of probability/statistics which has been used as tools in the unfavorable major fields. With the purpose of increasement on the employment rate, the paper is designed to have 3 steps, that is, a preliminary questionnaire for employment preference, major courses connecting probability/statistics and a post-questionnaire for employment preference, which eventually investigates the changes of the perception on employment. This paper is verified by the multiple regression analysis to approve the effect on improving learner's academic achievement.

Leaf dise explants of Solanum tuberosum cultivar. Desiree and Atlantic, were infected with a Agrobacterium MP90 strain containing chimeric gene construct, consisting of antibiotic and low temperature regulated gene (H28) for transformation. regenerated multiple shoots were selected on a medium containing kanamycin and carbenieillin after exposure to Agrobacterium. Both PCR analysis of NPT Ⅱ, H28 genes and northern blot analysis indicated that the genes coding for the enzyme were successfully integrated into the potato genome and could be expressed in potato plants.

Hereditary multiple exostosis is familial disturbance in the growth of cartilagenous bone tissue, most marked at the metaphyseal region of long bone. In most of the reported cases, the disease appears to have been transmitted through the male. And chondrosarcomatous transformation of the exostotic area is not uncommon, particularly in adult subjects.

Generalizing the Burchnall-Chaundy operator method, the authors are aiming at presenting certain decomposition formulas for the chosen six Exton functions expressed in terms of Appell's functions $F_3$ and $F_4$, Horn's functions $H_3$ and $H_4$, and Gauss's hypergeometric function F. We also give some integral representations for the Exton functions $X_i$ (i = 6, 8, 14) each of whose kernels contains the Horn's function $H_4$.

The crystal structure of sulfamethoxypyridazine has been solved by the direct method and refined by least squares methods from three-dimensional data collected by the multiple-film technique to a final residual of 8.5%. Two molecules (A and B) in one asymmetric unit are different each other in the conformation about S-N(2) bond, and are linked together by N(2A)H${\ldots}$N(3B) and N(2B)H${\ldots}$O(1A)S hydrogen bonds. Benzene and pyridazine rings make the angles of $89^{\circ}$ and $77^{\circ}$ for molecules A and B respectively.

Over the last five years, relaying or multihop techniques have been intensively researched as means for potentially improving link performance of wireless networks. However, the data rates of relays are often limited because they cannot transmit and receive on the same frequency simultaneously. This limitation has come to the attention of researchers, and recently a number of relay techniques have been proposed specifically to improve the data efficiency of relaying protocols. This paper surveys transmission protocols that employ first single relays, then multiple relays and finally multiple antenna relays. A common feature of these techniques is that novel signal processing techniques are required in the relay network to support increased data rates. This paper presents results and discussion that highlight the advantages of these approaches.

Multiple discrete Hilbert type inequalities are established in the case of non-homogeneous kernel function by means of Laplace integral representation of associated Dirichlet series. Using newly derived integral expressions for the Mordell-Tornheim Zeta function a set of subsequent special cases, interesting by themselves, are obtained as corollaries of the main inequality.
