Zn-Complexes를 이용한 OLEDs의 발광 특성 연구 (Luminance Properties of Organic Light Emitting Diodes Using Zn-Complexes)

  • Recently, high luminance and high efficiency were realized in OLEDs with multilayer structure including emitting materials such as metal-chelate complexes. New luminescent materials, [2- (2-hydroxyphenyl)-quinoline] (Zn(HPB)q), [(1,10-phenanthroline)- (8-hydroxyquinoline)] Zn(Phen)q was synthesized. Zn-Complexes have low molecular compound and thermal stability. The ionization potential(IP) and electron affinity(EA) of Zn-complexes were measured by cyclic-voltammetry(CV). The fundamental structure of the OLEDs was $ITO/{\alpha}$-NPD/Zn-Complex/Al and then we made device structure rightly in energy band gap. We using Zn(Phen)q as emitting layer and Zn(HPB)q as electron transport layer. We measured current density-voltage, luminance-voltage characteristics.

Study on the design and experimental verification of multilayer radiation shield against mixed neutrons and γ-rays

  • The traditional methods for radiation shield design always only focus on either the structure or the components of the shields rather than both of them at the same time, which largely affects the shielding performance of the facilities, so in this paper, a novel method for designing the structure and components of shields simultaneously is put forward to enhance the shielding ability. The method is developed by using the genetic algorithm (GA) and the MCNP software. In the research, six types of shielding materials with different combinations of elements such as polyethylene (PE), lead (Pb) and Boron compounds are applied to the radiation shield design, and the performance of each material is analyzed and compared. Then two typical materials are selected based on the experiment result of the six samples, which are later verified by the Compact Accelerator Neutron Source (CANS) facility. By using this method, the optimal result can be reached rapidly, and since the design progress is semi-automatic for most procedures are completed by computer, the method saves time and improves accuracy.

  • Titanium carbide(TiC) and titanium nitride(TiN) flims were deposited on $Si_3N_4$-TiC composite cutting tools by chemical vapor deposition(CVD) using $TiCl_4-CH_4-H_2$ and $TiCl_4-H_2-N_2$ gas mixtures, respectively. The nonmetal to metal ratio of deposit increases with increasing $m_{C/Ti}$(mole ratio of CH$_4$ to TiCl$_4$ in the input) for TiC coatings and $m_{N/Ti}$(mole ratio of N$_2$ to TiCl$_4$ in the input) for TiN coatings. The nearly stoiahiometric films could be obtained under the deposition condition of $m_{C/Ti}$ between 1.15 and 1.61 for TiC, and that of $m_{N/Ti}$ between 25 and 28 for TiN. Also maximum microhardness of the coatings can be obtained in these ranges. The interfacial region of TiC coatings on $Si_3N_4$-TiC ceramics is wider than that of TiN coatings according to Auger depth profile analysis, which indicates good interfacial bonding for TiC. Experimental results show that TiC coatings have an randomly equiaxed structure and Columnar structure with(220) preferred orientation can be obtained for TiN coatings. And, multilayer coatings have a dense and equiaxed structure.

다층 포토닉 밴드갭 구조를 이용한 소형의 광대역 저지 여파기 설계 (Design of a Compact and Wide Bandstop Filter using a Multilayered Photonic Bandgap Structure)

  • 본 논문에서는 마이크로스트립 전송선로의 유전체 기판(substrate) 내에 삽입된 EGP(Elevated Ground Plane)와 비아를 이용하는 소형의 새로운 포토닉 밴드갭(PBG:Photonic Bandgap) 구조를 제안였하고, 세라믹 기판에 적용된 최적구조를 설계하였다. 해석 결과, 제안된 새로운 PBG 구조는 기존의 평면 PBG 구조에 비해서 크기가 52.5 % 축소되었고 대역폭은 45 % 증가하였다. 그리고 접지면 식각 다층 PBG 구조에 비해서는 크기가 32 % 감소하였고 첨예도(sharpness)가 향상되었으며 차단주파수 이상에서 40 GHz까지 전력손실이 8 dB 이상 개선되었다. 따라서 본 논문에서 제안된 PBG 구조는 대역 저지 또는 저역통과 여파기로 사용할 수 있으며, 이러한 여파기 특성은 경박 단소화된 마이크로파 대역 집적회로나 모듈 개발에 효과적으로 활용될 수 있으리라 기대된다.

다층구조박막으로부터 $PbTiO_3$ 박막 제조시 요소층이 상형성 및 유전특성에 미치는 영향 (An effect of component layers on the phases and dielectric properties in $PbTiO_3$ thin films prepared from multilayer structure)

  • 선행연구[1] 즉, $Ti0_2/Pb/TiO_2(900{\AA}/900{\AA}/900{\AA}/)$ 3층구조박막으로부터 열확산에 의해 상형성이 가능하였던 $PbTiO_3$ 박막의 특성을 개선하기 위하여 스퍼터링법을 이용하여 Si기판위에 각 요소층의 두께를 $200~300 {\AA}$으로 얇게하고 적층수를 3,5,7,9,11층$(TiO_2/Pb/.../Tio_2)$으로 변화시켜가며 다층구조박막을 형성한 후 이를 RTA 처리하여 $PbTiO_3$ 박막을 제조하였다. 그 결과 $500^{\circ}C$ 이상에서 단일상의 $PbTiO_3$가 형성되었다. 또한 요소층의 두께를 얇게하고 적층수를 늘려서 열처리한 결과 Pb-silicate 및 void 생성이 억제되어 우수한 계면상태를 유지하였으며 조성도 보다 균일해지는 양상을 나타내었다. $PbTiO_3$ 박막의 MiM구조에 C-V 특성으로부터 측정된 유전상수는 열처리 조건에 따른 경향을 나타내지 않았으나 적층수가 많아져 박막의 두께가 증가 할수록 유전상수가 증가하였다. MIS 구조의 $PbTiO_3$ 박막의 I-V 특성 측정 결과 절연파괴강도는 최고 150kV/cm이었다.

Neural-based prediction of structural failure of multistoried RC buildings

  • Various vague and unstructured problems encountered the civil engineering/designers that persuaded by their experiences. One of these problems is the structural failure of the reinforced concrete (RC) building determination. Typically, using the traditional Limit state method is time consuming and complex in designing structures that are optimized in terms of one/many parameters. Recent research has revealed the Artificial Neural Networks potentiality in solving various real life problems. Thus, the current work employed the Multilayer Perceptron Feed-Forward Network (MLP-FFN) classifier to tackle the problem of predicting structural failure of multistoried reinforced concrete buildings via detecting the failure possibility of the multistoried RC building structure in the future. In order to evaluate the proposed method performance, a database of 257 multistoried buildings RC structures has been constructed by professional engineers, from which 150 RC structures were used. From the structural design, fifteen features have been extracted, where nine features of them have been selected to perform the classification process. Various performance measures have been calculated to evaluate the proposed model. The experimental results established satisfactory performance of the proposed model.

Microwave Dielectric Properties of Ti-Te system Ceramics for Triplexer Filter

  • In this study, the compositions for the microwave dielectric materials were investigated to obtain the improved dielectric properties, the high temperature stability, and the sintering temperature of less than $900^{\circ}C$, which was necessary for cofiring with the internal conductor of silver. In addition, the dielectric sheets were prepared by the tape casting technique, after which the sheets were laminated and sintered. In this process, the optimum ratio of powder and binder, laminating pressure, temperature, and possibility for cofiring with the internal conductor were studied. Finally, multilayer chip treplexer filter for the 800-2,000 MHz range were fabricated, and the frequency characteristics of the triplexer filter were investigated. When the $0.6TiTe_3O_8-0.4MgTiO_3+3wt%SnO+7wt%H_3BO_3$ ceramics were sintered at $820^{\circ}C$ for 0.3 hours, the microwave dielectric properties of the dielectric constant of 29.91, quality factor of 33,000 GHz, and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency of -2.76 ppm/$^{\circ}C$ were obtained. Using the Advanced Design System (ADS) and High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS), the multilayer chip triplexer filter acting at the range of 800-2,000 MHz were simulated and manufactured. The manufactured triplexer filter had the excellent frequency properties in the CDAM800, GPS and PCS frequency regions, respectively.

다층퍼셉트론의 계층적 구조를 통한 성능향상 (Hierarchical Architecture of Multilayer Perceptrons for Performance Improvement)

  • 다층퍼셉트론이 충분한 중간층 노드 수를 지니면 임의의 함수를 근사시킬 수 있다는 이론적 연구결과에 기초하여, 다층퍼셉트론을 실제 문제에 응용하는 경우에 일반적으로 입력층, 중간층, 출력층으로 이루어진 3층 구조의 다층퍼셉트론을 사용한다. 그렇지만, 이러한 구조의 다층퍼셉트론은 입력벡터가 여러 가지 성질로 이루어진 복잡한 문제의 경우 좋은 일반화 성능을 보이지 않는다. 이 논문에서는 입력 벡터가 여러 가지 정보를 지닌 데이터들로 구성되어 있는 문제인 경우에 계층적 구조를 지닌 다층퍼셉트론의 구성으로 성능을 향상시키는 방법을 제안한다. 즉, 입력데이터를 섭-벡터로 구분한 후 섭-벡터별로 다층퍼셉트론을 적용시키며, 이 섭-벡터별로 적용된 하위층 다층퍼셉트론으로부터 인식 결과를 받아서 최종 결정을 하는 상위 다층퍼셉트론을 구현한다. 제안한 방법의 효용성은 단백질의 구조를 예측하는 문제를 통하여 확인한다.

Pd/Co 다층박막의 구조 및 자기적 특성에 미치는 기판온도 및 열적안정성에 관한 연구 (Thermal Stability and the Effect of Substrate Temperature on the Structural and Magnetic Properties of Pd/Co Multilayer Films)

  • Pd/Co 다층박막을 동시열증착장치로 제작하여, 토오크 자력계, 홀 효과 측정장치 및 X-선 회절기를 이용하여 기판 온도, Pd하지층에 따른 구조적 자기적 및 열적 특성변화를 연구하였다. 기판 온도가 증가함에 따라 $150^{\circ}C$까지는 계면구조 및 각 층의 결정성이 향상되고, (111) 집합조직이 발달되었으며 따라서 계면자기이방성 및 수직자기 이방성에너지는 증가하였다. 그러나 보자력은 감소 하였는데 이는 입자의 성장으로 인한 자구벽 고착효과 감소에 기인된 것으로 보이며 Pd하지층이 두꺼 울 수록 다층박막의 입자크기는 컸다. $200^{\circ}C$ 이상에서는 계면에서 상호확산에 의하여 다층막의 구조의 열화는 촉진되었다. 열처리 초기에 주 피이크 강도의 변화는 컸으며 그 후부터는 작은 폭으로 감소하였다. 초기의 큰 강도 변화는 구조이완등의 현상에 기인된 것으로 추측되며 그 후는 확산에 의 해서이다. 다층박막의 상호확산에 필요한 활성화 에너지는 14.9 KCal/mole.K 였다.

Pb(Mg1/2W1/2)O3 치환에 따른 저온소결 Pb(Mg1/2W1/2)O3-Pb(Mn1/3Nb2/3)O3-Pb(Zr1/2Ti1/2)O3 세라믹스의 압전 및 유전특성 (Piezoelectric and Dielectric Characteristics of Low Temperature Sintering Pb(Mg1/2W1/2)O3-Pb(Mn1/3Nb2/3)O3-Pb(Zr1/2Ti1/2)O3 Ceramics With the Substitution of Pb(Mg1/2W1/2)O3)

  • In this study, in order to develop low temperature sintering piezoelectric ceramics for LTCC (Low-Temperature Cofired Ceramic) multilayer piezoelectric actuator, PMW-PMN-PZT ceramics using $0.2wt%\; Li_2CO_3$ and $0.25wt%\;CaCO_3$ as sintering aids were investigated according to the varation of PMW substution. Composition ceramics could be sintered at $900^{\circ}C$ by adding sintering aids. As the amount of PMW substitution increased, the crystal structure of PMW-PMN-PZT ceramics moved from tetragonal phase to rhombohedral phase gradually, and MPB(Morphotrophic Phase Boundary) region appeared at 2 mol% PMW substitution. At the sintering temperature of $900^{\circ}C$, the density, electromechanical coupling factor(kp), mechanical quality factor(Qm), dielectric constant(${\epsilon}r$), piezoelectric constant(d33) and Curie temperature(Tc) of 2 mol% PMW substituted PMW-PMN-PZT ceramics showed the optimal values of $7.88g/cm^3$, 0.58, 1002, 1264, 352 pC/N and $336^{\circ}C$, respectively, for LTCC multilayer piezoelectric actuator application.
