An improved optimal weights based on parallel interference cancellation algorithm has been proposed to cancel for interference induced by multi-user access satellite to ground uplink system. Due to differences in elevation relative motion between the user and the satellite, as well as access between users, resulting in multi-user access interference (Multi-user Access Interference, MUI), which significantly degrade system performance when multi-user access. By steepest gradient method, it obtained based on the MMSE criterion, parallel interference cancellation adjust optimal weights to obtain the maximum SINR. Compared to traditional parallel interference cancellation (Parallel Interference Cancellation, PIC) algorithm or serial interference cancellation ( Successive interference Cancellation, SIC), the accuracy of which is not high and too many complex iterations, we establish the multi-user access to the satellite to ground up link system to demonstrate that the improved WPIC algorithm could be provided with high accuracy and relatively low number of iterations.

We consider a cell edge environment. In cell edge, a user interfered by signal which is generated by a base stations not including the user. In cell edge environment, that is, there are inter cell interference (ICI) as well as multi user interference (MUI). Coordinated multi-point transmission (CoMP) is a technique which mitigates ICI between base stations. In CoMP, therefore, base stations can coordinate with each other by sharing user state information (CSI) in order to mitigate ICI. To improve sum rate performance in CoMP, each base station should generate optimal user group and transmit data to users selected in the optimal user group. In this paper, we propose a user selection algorithm in CoMP. The proposed method use signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) as criterion of selecting users. Because base station can't measure accurate SINR of users, in this paper, we estimate SINR equation considering ICI as well as MUI. Also, we propose a user selection algorithm based on the estimated SINR. Through MATAL simulation, we verify that the proposed method improves the system sum rate by an average of 1.5 ~ 3 bps/Hz compared to the conventional method.

An adaptive array antennal and a CCI canceller have been considered as techniques for cancelling Multi-User Interference(MUI) in Direct Sequence Code Division Multiple Access(DS-CDMA) system. These techniques have different problems respectively in the process of cancelling MUI as the number of users increases. For that reason, the scheme which can cancel MUI effectively by compensating for the problems of each of the techniques has been required. For the scheme, the technique to connect an adaptive array antenna and a CoChannel Interference(CCI) canceller in cascade form has been studied. In the existing study about the cascade connection method, the effect of cancelling MUI about two interference signals is analyzed, but the analysis for the quantitative BER(Bit Error Rate) improvement according to the number of users is not considered. Therefore, in this paper, we have analyzed the degree of BER performance improvement quantitatively according to the number of users by introducing the receiving system, which connects an adaptive array antenna and a CCI canceller to a DS-CDMA system in cascade form. For the method of analyzing the performance, we have performed the theoretical analysis and the simulation, considering the case of adopting only an adaptive array antenna and of cascade connection respectively, and having compared and analyzed the results. From the results, it is confirmed that in the case of adopting only an adaptive array antenna, the problems occur in the process of cancelling MUI according to the number of users and the receiving direction of interference signals, and can be compensated by the cascade connection method. In conclusion, we have known that MUI is cancelled effectively by using the cascade connection method, and the much better BER performance improvement is obtained.
In this paper, we have proposed the Multi-Carrier (MC) CDMA system by adopting multi-interference cancellation techniques connecting an adaptive array antenna and a CCI canceller in cascade form. And, we have analyzed the BER performance of system in AWGN channel where MUI is a major interference degrading the performance of the proposed MC CDMA system. Also, we have evaluated the degree of performance improvement in the proposed MC CDMA system. As the result of analysis, a CCI canceller is better efficient than an adaptive array antenna in the performance improvement and that the performance improvement becomes large as the number of users increases when multi-interference cancellation techniques are used in cascade form. Also, we found that performance of $10^{-5}$ in a point of view BER could be achieved when $E_b/N_o$ is more than 10 dB.

In this paper, error performance of DS-CDMA communication system has been analyzed in a radio channel which is characterized by multi-user interference (MUI). Also, performance improvement has been obtained by both numerical analysis and simulation techniques when 3-element array antenna and co-channel interference (CCI) canceller are employed as a means for overcoming an MUI effect. The MUI was modelled as a gaussian random process. In array antenna scheme we only considered a directivity of antennal. The results show that there is a substantial enhancement in performance by employing an array antenna or a CCI canceller. CCI canceller gives better improvement in performance than the array antenna with D=2.67. Additional improvement can be obtained when the array antenna and the CCI canceller are adopted in cascade form. In this case the error performance approaches that of AWGN environment.

In this paper, error performance of DS/CDMA GMSK system has been analyzed in a radio channel which is characterized by multi-user interference(MUI) and Nakagami fading. The DS/CDMA GMSK system adopts Maximum Ratio Combining(MRC) diversity and co-channel interference (CCI) to enhance system performance. Using the derived error probability equation, the error performance of DS/CDMA GMSK system has been evaluated and shown in figures to discuss as a function of PN code length(N), number of multi-user(K), number of diversity branch(L), and bit energy per noise power ratio ($E_b/N_0$), fading index(m). The results show that there is a substantial enhancement in performance by employing an MRC diversity or a CCI canceller. Additional improvement can be obtained when the MRC diversity and the CCI canceller are adopted in cascade form. Consequently, we expected that proposed system structure is reliable to the voice communication system in Nakagami fading, multi-user interferences and multipath channel.

In this paper we have evaluated the degree of performance improvement in Multi-Carrier CDMA system adopting CCI canceller against MUI under mobile channel coexisting MU which is a major interference degrading the performance of Multi-carrier CDMA system. As a result of analysis, BER performance was improved by adopting CCI canceller and it was found that the amount of performance improvement was largely increased as Eb/No became higher. As an example, in case that data service BER = 10$^{-5}$ must be achieved with $E_{b/}$$N_{o}$ = 12 ㏈, 4 users could be supported without CCI canceller while 30 users could be supported with CCI canceller, Also, we found that performance improving effect of 5$\times$10$^{-3}$ in a point of view BER could be achieved by adopting CCI canceller with fixed $E_{b/}$$N_{o}$. o/. o/.
The growing interest towards ultra-wideband (UWB) communications stems from its unique features such as baseband operation, ample multipath diversity, and the potential of enhanced user capacity. But since UWB has to overlay existing narrowband systems, multiple access has to be achieved in the presence of narrowband interference (NBI). However, existing baseband spreading codes for UWB multiple access are not flexible in handling NBI. In this paper, we introduce two novel spreading codes that not only enable baseband UWB multiple access, but also facilitate flexible NBI cancellation. We construct our codes using a single carrier or multiple carriers (SC or MC), which can be implemented with standard discrete-cosine transform (DCT) circuits. With our SC/MC codes, NBI can be avoided by simply nulling undesired digital carriers. Being digital, these SC/MC codes give rise to multiband UWB systems, without invoking analog carriers. In addition, our SC/MC codes enable full multipath diversity, and maximum coding gains. Equally attractive is their capability to reduce the number of interfering users, with simple matched filter operations. Comprehensive simulations are also carried out to corroborate our analysis.

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) technique uses multiple sub-carriers for the data transmission. Therefore, Inter Carrier Interference(ICI) is generated because of nonlinear high power amplifier and carrier frequency offset. Wireless OFDM transmission over Doppler fading channels also causes ICI. In OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Access), multiple sub-carriers are allocated to each user. Therefore, inter carrier interference causes interference to other users. I evaluate the BER performance of OFDMA systems in frequency selective fading channel, considering Multi-User Interference (MUI) owing to the carrier frequency offset, the nonlinear high power amplifier, and the Doppler fading. In the uplink OFDMA, multi-user interference introduces larger BER degradation than in the downlink. I explain the reason and obtain the required characteristics of the nonlinear amplifier and the value of frequency offset for good BER performance. And I also analyze the BER degradation upon Doppler fading channel.

Recently, orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing(OFDM), with clusters of subcarriers allocated to different subscribers(often referred to as OFDMA), has gained much attention for its ability in enabling multiple-access wireless multimedia communications. In such systems, carrier frequency offsets (CFOs) can destroy the orthogonality among subcarriers. And the mismatch in sampling frequencies between transmitter and receiver can lead to serious degradation due to the loss of orthogonality between the subcarriers. As a result, multiuser interference (MUI) along with significant performance degradation can be induced. In this paper, we present a scheme to compensate for the SFOs and CFOs at the base station of an OFDMA system. A novel sampling frequency offset estimation algorithm is proposed, which is based on the repetition of a symbol at the communication start-up. Then, circular convolutions are employed to generate the interference after the discrete Fourier transform processing, which is then removed from the original received signal to increase the signal to interference power ratio(SIR). Simulation result shows that the proposed scheme can improve system performance.
