The thrust characteristic analysis of multi-separated winding LDM (다중 분할 권선형 LDM의 추력 특성 해석)

  • This paper describes for new design method to improve respones characteristics of moving-magnet type LDM with volume reduction of slider back iron. To achieve the constant thrust of LDM through restraining saturation at the center core of stator excitation coil, double sided stator winding of LDM is proposed. We constructed new type LDM to prove the validity of design process. Analysis results through measurement and simulation of proposed multi-separated winding LDM were proved excellent in response characteristics and static thrust.

  • In this paper, by designing ratio width of the permanent magnet versus the stator coil, double excitation LDM with multi-separated winding which is possible to obtain the constant thrust force is proposed. Using Empulse, this paper has explained a various excitation mode to analyze the thrust force of multi-separated winding LDM. The simulation results show single-phase excitation mode have low thrust force ripple.

  • In this paper, by designning the width of the stator coil, double sided excitation LDM with multi-separated winding which is possible to obtain the constant thrust force is proposed. Using Maxwell 2D, Empulse, we were proved the characteristic analysis of LDM accoding to ratio magnet width venus coil width of LDM. Though designning for double sided excitation LDM with multi-separated winding, we could be achieved the constant thrust and rapidly time responses within the operating region.

  • Stator winding of hydro generator is gradually deteriorated by multi-stress and steady degradation of insulation results in insulation breakdown. The region where insulation breakdown occurs in stator winding is part where the multi-stress causes the defect of insulation material and electrical stress has been concentrated. Therefore, we judged locations of insulation breakdown to be varied according to various stress factors in service. In this paper, we drew the stator winding of hydro generators which has run for a long time and separated it into 3 parts(central part, end winding part, drawing part) according to the positions laid on the core. We performed electrical and thermal stress on these specimens for 1000 hrs under the same condition, measured the condition regularlyand analyzed the insulation status of each winding by performing partial discharge test. In addition, we analyzed the trend of partial discharge concerning specimens that caused the insulation breakdown during aging.

  • In this paper, in order to analyzing the thrust force of LDM, it was divided by the vertical force(Fx)and the horizontal force(Fy). The magnet and winding width was determined by analyzing the magnetic flux distribution throughout the airgap of LDM. Using finite-element analysis(FEA), which is the magnetic field analysis, and Proved the validity of design process, also the characteristics of LDM according to the variation of the design parameters of LDM was almost in accord with th experiment results.

  • The use of linear DC motor is spreaded according to industrial development. This study was objected to study the analysis of double side excitation LDM with moving magnet type. In this LDM structure, the mover made use of permanent magnet with six pieces so as to large thrust, the stator was bedded for the multi separated type winding to repress the i개n saturation. Also, double side excitation winding is suppressed to thrust ripple with stratification to zigzag type and designed to production for static thrust. Then it is important to ratio of permanent magnet to winding width at multi separate, this paper analyzed to separate to three pieces of 1:1, 1:0.84 and 1:0.5 with width ratio. The analysis method calculated the parameter useful for permeance and magnetic resistance more than FEM of complicated numerical value analysis. Through manufactured experiment system, measurement result of thrust was almost acquired to constant thrust for all displacement.

Using Permeance method, equvalent magnetic circuit method, Maxwell 2D, which is the magnetic field analysis package, we were analyzed and proved the validity of design process, also the characteristics of LDM according to magnet vs. coil width ratio of LDM was almost in accord with the experiment results.

  • A typical HTS power transmission cable has multi-layer conductor structure to increase the current capacity. The tapes of the innermost layer are wound on a round former, and adjacent tapes of another layer are separated by a thin insulating film. However, usually the current is not evenly distributed among the layers because of inductance difference of each layer, and the inductance is provided by the winding pitch of each layer's tape. Consequently n method to make the current distribution more uniform is a adjusting the tape winding pitch, hence reduce the AC loss. This paper describes a current distribution by adjusting a tape winding pitch of each layer. Also, this paper shows recommendations for future cable conductor prototypes.

  • Hybrid transformer means the distribution transformer, one of multi-function transformer equipped with the enhancement function of harmonics and unbalance. In other words, since existing transformer are equipped simply with transformation function only, a separated electric facility should be additionally installed in order to reduce the mutual harmonics and unbalance. Meanwhile, since hybrid transformer can perform the reduction of harmonics and unbalance as well as transformation function simultaneously through zigzag winding, it doesn't need any additional electric facility. This study addressed the issue of developing and testing the performance of a generator that would reduce the harmonics supplied to the grid when grid-connected with the output of a photovoltaic inverter for photovoltaic generation system.
