COMS(Communication, Oceanography, and Meteorology Satellite) is the first Korean multi-purpose satellite which is planned to be deployed at the altitude of geosynchronous orbit above the Korean peninsular. Noting that COMS is composed of the main BUS structure, two deployable solar panels, one yoke, five reactions wheels, COMS is treated as a collection of 9 bodies and its nonlinear equations of motion are obtained using the multi-body dynamics approach. Also, a computer program is developed to analyze the COMS motion during the various mission phase. Quite often, the equations of motion have to be derived repeatedly to reflect the fact that the spacecraft dynamics change as its configuration, and therefore its degree of freedom varies. However, the equations of motion and simulation software presented in this paper are general enough to represent the COMS dynamics of various configurations with a minimum change in input files. There is no need to derive the equations of motion repeatedly. To show the capability of the simulation program, the spacecraft motion during the solar array partial and full deployment has been simulated and the results are summarized in this paper.

본 연구의 목적은 공동주택 옥외공간 설계와 계획을 위해 선행연구의 공동주택 수용자들의 옥외공간에 대한 선호가 시간의 흐름에 따라 어떤 변화가 있는지를 파악하고 시장세분화를 통해 세분시장을 선정하는데 있다. 본 연구에서는 중요속성이 Communication속성에서 Amenity속성으로 변화한 것을 밝혔다. 이는 정보 및 교류, 집회 속성을 중요하게 생각하던 것이 여가 및 문화시설을 중시하는 경향으로 바뀌었음을 보여주고 있는 것이다.

This study examines the space composition and character of German Modern Theater barre on the theory of typology and interpreter in the european traditional classic theater. Contemporary multi purpose theater and public space is considered as a symbolic representation of the classic theater's organization. In the historical theory, modern theater was a common tool and best systeme in reflecting people's lives. This role of greece-roman theater as life cycle and new style of theater permanent design has get its value with the population increase and the urban centralization of the city and urban common sense. This study attempts to reevaluate the need of space typology in modern society through a critical review of theater and its use as a open space design. Content analysis was used to discuss the topics of this study including the historical background of the theater, the relationship between amphitheater and modern theater design, and the role of scenery, auditorium and its impact on urban environment. The scope of the study is limited to the comparison of classic theater and german modern theater space use program from the space critic and sociologist. Today the concept of theatrical space is altered with the typology of classic and interpreter space. This study provides insights for the future implications of theatrical space in developing public space for its a new definition as cultural representation.

The purpose of this study is to actualize the planning method of the shared community space (SCS). For this, it analyzed the residents' needs for the SCS and grasped the composition system of the needs and estimated the factors considered in the planning of the SCS. This study focused on seeking out the user-oriented design criteria for the planning of the SCS. The results of this study are as follows: First, as the results subdividing the residents' needs to understand the various requirements for the SCS, the composition system was classified into the fundamental SCS and the individual SCS. The fundamental SCS's to be considered as basic facilities in the planning of the multi-family housing complex, and the individual SCS to be more suited to a particular group. Second, regarding the investigation of detail guidelines in the SCS planning, it was found that there was a difference in the considered factors and the preferred locations according to the kinds of each SCS, the types of facilities, the main users of facilities, and the contents of activities available in the facilities.

Digital media changed not only our lifestyle and sense of value but also art and space design, and development of technology will accelerate the alteration. It provided limitless possibility and inspiration to art, architecture and design. In this 'image' era, media communicate with us mostly in visual method, which gets to he realized by visual interface. The purpose of this study is to analyze the tendency of visual interface of contemporary interior design cases in the standpoint of digital media characteristics and suggest directions for future space design. The characteristics of digital media and interface are defined, and how the concept unfolded in art, design is also discussed. In interior design, the concepts come out as various types of visual interface, showing the characteristics of composition of material and immaterial, interaction between visual information and space users and among users, realization of cyberspace and simultaneous coexistence of multiple space-time multi-layer.

The aim of this study is to extract the design vocabulary of flexibility from analyzing Steven Holl' architectural works. For this purpose, the four works were selected and the design elements like their concepts, elevations, plans, furnitures, lights, materials, and colors were analyzed. The results of this study are as follows ; First, flexible design method is shown in adaptable space planning by using system of hinged panel and multi-functional furniture of various form. Second, Windows were made a plan of the geometric partition of surface and with clear materials for expanding space to outside. Third, the changing of level and the using of the phenomenological elements like a light color, water, and materials were applied for enhancing the image of the flexible space.

The purpose of this study is to suggest specific function of each areas and way to express reasonable interior elements within interior design of sports center in Korea. The method of this research is case study of sports center In various fields since 1980. During the study, it Is very clear that the most important points in designing of sports centers interior space to accomodate main body training areas and service area for the users. The other point is to explain within the space plan that there should be a clear understanding of general regulation for the installation element, function and behavioral facts. The social, cultural roles of sports center must have the function as a multi service facility. In summary this research is to present datas and suggestion to various areas in sports center and refine its new meaning of sports center space plan with much better designing.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the tendency of the current diversified apartment planning. This study was examined by 13 newspapers from January 1th 1995 to 30th 1997. The major findings in this study were summarized as follows: 1. The strategy of major apartment construction co. was diversified into space planning interior image facilities and utilities and outdoor space design. 2. The trend of space planning was diversified into apartment for 3 generation apartment with its own inside gardeen apartment with kitchen facing south multi-story apartment, apartment with round shape room irregular shaped apartment 3. The trend of interior image was diversified into Korean style natural style casual elegantstyle modern style and classical style.

An absorbed heat-flux method for ground simulation of on-orbit thermal environment of satellite is addressed in this paper. For satellite ground test, high vacuum and extremely low temperature of deep space are achieved by space simulation chamber, while spatial environmental heating is simulated by employing the absorbed heat-flux method. The methodology is explained in detail with test requirement and setup implemented on a satellite. Developed heat-load control system is presented with an adjusted PID-control logic and the system schematic realized is shown. A practical and successful application of the heat simulation method to KOMPSAT(Korea Multi-purpose Satellite)thermal environmental test is demonstrated, finally.

Latest advances in network sensor technology and state of the art of mobile robot, and artificial intelligence research can be employed to develop autonomous and distributed monitoring systems. In this study, as the preliminary step for developing a multi-purpose "Intelligent Space" platform to implement advanced technologies easily to realize smart services to human. We will give an explanation for the ISpace system architecture designed and implemented in this study and a short review of existing techniques, since there exist several recent thorough books and review paper on this paper. Instead we will focus on the main results with relevance to the DIND data fusion with CI of Intelligent Space. We will conclude by discussing some possible future extensions of ISpace. It is first dealt with the general principle of the navigation and guidance architecture, then the detailed functions tracking multiple objects, human detection and motion assessment, with the results from the simulations run.
