  • Named entity recognition (NER) is an important basic task in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP). Recently deep learning approaches by extracting word segmentation or character features have been proved to be effective for Chinese Named Entity Recognition (CNER). However, since this method of extracting features only focuses on extracting some of the features, it lacks textual information mining from multiple perspectives and dimensions, resulting in the model not being able to fully capture semantic features. To tackle this problem, we propose a novel Multi-view Semantic Feature Fusion Model (MSFM). The proposed model mainly consists of two core components, that is, Multi-view Semantic Feature Fusion Embedding Module (MFEM) and Multi-head Self-Attention Mechanism Module (MSAM). Specifically, the MFEM extracts character features, word boundary features, radical features, and pinyin features of Chinese characters. The acquired font shape, font sound, and font meaning features are fused to enhance the semantic information of Chinese characters with different granularities. Moreover, the MSAM is used to capture the dependencies between characters in a multi-dimensional subspace to better understand the semantic features of the context. Extensive experimental results on four benchmark datasets show that our method improves the overall performance of the CNER model.

  • In radar signal processing, an A/D converter with sufficient dynamic range and high sampling speed is required to detect the weakest target signals in heavy clutter and ECM environments. As the sampling frequency increases, the amount of digital data transfered to the signal processing module is also increased. To overcome these massive data transfer burden, we need an A/D conversion module with an enough data transfer rate. In this paper, we proposed an implementation scheme of a new A/D conversio module that can be used in multi-mode 3-D phased array radar signal processing system, and evaluated the performance. The proposed A/D conversion module is implemented with a standard A/D converter and a 6U-standard VME bus.

  • Due to the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) modernization, the recently launched GNSS satellites transmit signals at various frequency bands of L1, L2 and L5. Considering the Korea Positioning System (KPS) signal and other GNSS augmentation signals in the future, there is a high probability of applying more complex communication techniques to the new GNSS signals. For the reason, GNSS receivers based on flexible Software Defined Radio (SDR) concept needs to be developed to evaluate various experimental communication techniques by accessing each signal processing module in detail. In this paper, we introduce a multi-constellation (GPS/Galileo/BeiDou) multi-band (L1/L2/L5) SDR by utilizing Ettus USRP N210. The signal reception module of the developed SDR includes down-conversion, analog-to-digital conversion, signal acquisition, and tracking. The down-conversion module is designed based on the super-heterodyne method fitted for MHz sampling. The signal acquisition module performs PRN code generation and FFT operation and the signal tracking module implements delay/phase/frequency locked loops only by software. In general, it is difficult to sample entire main lobe components of L5 band signals due to their higher chipping rate compared with L1 and L2 band signals. Experiment result shows that it is possible to acquire and track the under-sampled signals by the developed SDR.

  • This paper presents a design experience of a control language for coordination of a multi-robot system. To effectively program job commands, a Petrinet-type Graphical Robot Language(PGRL) is proposed, where some functions, such as concurrency and synchronization, for coordination among tasks can be easily programmed. In our system, the proposed task commands of PGRL are implemented by employing formal model languages, which are composed of three modules, sensory, data handling, and action module. It is expected that by using our proposed PGRL and formal languages, one can easily describe a job or task, and hence can effectively operate a complex real-time and concurrent system. The control system is being implemented by using VME-based 32-bit microprocessor boards for supervisory, each module controller(arm, hand, leg, sensor data processing module) and a real time multi-tasking operating system(VxWorks). • Robust tracking of infrared (IR) pedestrian targets with various backgrounds, e.g. appearance changes, illumination variations, and background disturbances, is a great challenge in the infrared image processing field. In the paper, we address a new tracking method for IR pedestrian targets via multi-feature local sparse representation (SR), which consists of three important modules. In the first module, a multi-feature local SR model is constructed. Considering the characterization of infrared pedestrian targets, the gray and edge features are first extracted from all target templates, and then fused into the model learning process. In the second module, an effective tracker is proposed via the learned model. To improve the computational efficiency, a sliding window mechanism with multiple scales is first used to scan the current frame to sample the target candidates. Then, the candidates are recognized via sparse reconstruction residual analysis. In the third module, an adaptive dictionary update approach is designed to further improve the tracking performance. The results demonstrate that our method outperforms several classical methods for infrared pedestrian tracking.

  • In this paper, the input-output interconnection method of the multi-valued signal processing circuit using perfect Shuffle technique and Kronecker product is discussed. Using this method, the design method of circuit of the multi-valued Reed-Muller expansions(MRME) to be used the multi-valued signal processing on finite field GF(p**m) is presented. The proposed input-output interconnection method is shown that the matrix transform is efficient and that the module structure is easy. The circuit design of MRME on FG(p**m) is realized following as` 1) contructing the baisc gates on GF(3) by CMOS T gate, 2) designing the basic cells to be implemented the transform and inverse transform matrix of MRME using these basic gates, 3) interconnecting these cells by the input-output interconnecting method of the multivalued signal processing circuits. Also, the circuit design of the multi-valued signal processing function on GF(3\ulcorner similar to Winograd algorithm of 3x3 array of DFT (discrete fourier transform) is realized by interconnection of Perfect Shuffle technique and Kronecker product. The presented multi-valued signal processing circuits that are simple and regular for wire routing and posses the properties of concurrency and modularity are suitable for VLSI.

  • In this article, we present, design, and implement a software and hardware for an embedded RAID system. The merits and drawbacks of our system are presented by performance evaluation. The proposed hardware system consists of three fibre channel controllers for the interface with fibre channel disks and hosts. Embedded Linux in which a RAID software is implemented is ported to the hardware. A SCSI target mode device driver and a target mode SCSI module are designed for that our RAID system is considered as a block device to a host computer. Linux Multi-device is used as RAID functions of this system. A data cache module is implemented for high performance and the interconnection between Linux Multi-device and the target mode SCSI module. The RAID 5 module of Multi-device is modified for improvement of read performance. The benchmark shows that the new RAID 5 module is superior to the original one in overall performance.
