Parallel implementation of HEVC deblocking filter with OpenMP (OpenMP를 이용한 HEVC 디블록킹 필터의 병렬화 구현)

  • 본 논문에서는 OpenMP를 이용하여 HEVC 복호화기의 디블록킹 필터를 병렬화하는 것을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 HEVC 디블록킹 필터를 병렬화하기 위하여 슬라이스를 병렬 처리가 가능한 코어의 개수만큼의 영역으로 균등하게 분할 한 후 각 영역에 코어를 할당하였다. 각 영역에 할당된 코어들은 자신의 영역 내의 LCU에 대해서 순차 주사 순으로 필터링을 수행하는데, 먼저 영역 내의 모든 LCU에 대하여 수평방향으로 필터링을 수행한다. 이러한 수평방향 필터링이 완료된 후 동일한 영역에 대하여 다시 수직 방향으로 필터링을 수행한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 OpenMP를 이용한 HEVC 디블록킹 필터 병렬화를 통하여 4-Core 환경에서 복호화기에서 디블록킹 필터링의 수행 시간을 약 2.51배 감소 시켰다.

  • MPEG-DASH(Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP)는 MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group)에서 표준화 중인 HTTP를 이용한 적응형 비디오 스트리밍 기술이다. MPEG-DASH는 인터넷 방화벽에 의해 차단되는 RTP/UDP를 이용한 AV 스트리밍 대신 현재 HTTP/TCP를 이용하여 AV 스트리밍을 하는 추세에 맞춰 유무선 인터넷에서 망 환경 및 단말 환경에 동적 적응적으로 AV 스트리밍을 달성하기 위한 기술에 대한 표준이다. HTTP를 이용한 AV 스트리밍은 서버의 부담을 최소화하고 클라이언트의 지능적 처리에 전적으로 의존하는 스트리밍 방식이다. MPEG-DASH 클라이언트는 HTTP의 파일 전송 요청 또는 파일 일부 전송 요청만을 사용하여 스트리밍을 달성한다. 2011년 7월 제97차 MPEG 회의에서 MPEG-DASH DIS(Draft International Standard) 2차 버전이 승인되었다. 본 논문에서는 이 DIS 2차 버전에 따라 MP4 파일 포맷 기반의 MPEG-DASH 클라이언트를 구현하고 그 동작을 실험을 통해 검증하였다.

Evaluation for Biomechanical Effects of Metatarsal Pad and Insole on Gait (보행 중 중족골 패드와 인솔의 생체역학적 영향성 평가)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of metatarsal pad (MP) compared with barefoot and MP with using different insoles on gait. 15 healthy females who had no history of injury in the lower extremity with an average age of 22.7 year(SD=1.35), height of 160 cm(SD=3.4), weight of 48.8 kg(SD=5.52) and average foot size of 232.5 mm(SD=6.8) participated in this study as the subjects. The subjects walked on a treadmill under four different experimental conditions: 1) walking with barefoot, 2) walking wearing MP 3) walking wearing a soft insole with MP(SIMP), 4) walking wearing a rigid insole with MP(HIMP). During walking, foot pressure data such as force, contacting area, peak pressure, and mean pressure was collected using Pedar-X System(Novel Gmbh, Germany) and EMG activity of lower limb muscles such as tibialis anterior(TA), lateral gastrocnemius(LG), rectus femoris(RF), and musculus biceps femoris(MBF) was gathered using Delsys EMG Work System(Delsys, USA). Collected data was then analyzed using paired t-test in order to investigate the effects of each of experimental conditions. As a result of the analysis, when MP and HIMP were equipped, overall contacting area was increased while the force, peak pressure and the mean pressure were decreased. Especially, when the SIMP was equipped, every data were significantly decreased. In case of EMG, wearing MP, SIMP and HIMP made three muscles(TA, LG, RF)'s activity decrease. A result of the analysis will be able to apply for manufacturing functional shoes, diabetes shoes, senior shoes and lower extremity orthosis. Significance of the study due to a metatarsal pad and the insole is to analyze the changes in muscle strength.

Effect of Red Bean Protein and Microbial Transglutaminase on Gelling Properties of Myofibrillar Protein (적소두단백질(Red Bean Protein)과 Transglutaminase를 첨가한 돈육 근원섬유 단백질의 물성 증진 효과)

  • The effects of soy protein isolate (SPI) and red bean protein isolate (RBPI) on gelling properties of pork myofibrillar protein (MP) in the presence of microbial transglutaminase (MTG) were studied at 0.45 M NaCl. MP paste was incubated with MTG (0.1%) at various levels (0.1, 0.3, 0.5, and 1%) of SPI and RBPI before incubating at $4^{\circ}C$ for 4 h. The rheological property results showed that MP gel shear stress increased with increasing RBPI concentration. Cooking yield (CY) of the MP gel increased with increasing RBPI and SPI, whereas gel strength (GS) was not affected by adding RBPI or SPI. Thus, effects of incubation time (0, 4, 8, 10, and 12 h) were measured at 0.1% SPI and RBPI. GS values of the MP gel at 10 and 12 h were similar and were higher than those of the others. CY values were highest when RBPI (0.1%) was added, regardless of incubation time. The protein patterns indicated that incubating the MP with MTG for 10 h resulted in protein crosslinking between MP and RBPI or SPI. Based on these results, RBPI and SPI could be used as an ingredient to increase textural properties and cooking yield of meat protein gel.

AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY FOR THE EFFECT OF ALL-BOND 2, GLUMA, SCOTCH BOND MULTI-PURPOSE (수종 상아질 접착제의 제 V급 와동에서의 미세 변연누출에 관한 비교연구)

  • This study aimed to evaluate the marginal microleakage of Class V cavities of All-bond 2 (Wet - bonding system), Gluma (Adhesion of resin to exposed collagen fibers), and Scotchbond Multi-purpose(Mild Etching System). Hundred extracted human teeth divided into a control and three experimental groups consisting of eight teeth. The experimental group was further subdivided into All- bond2, Gluma and Scotchbond MP groups, Vitrebond served as the control. The positive control group consisted of specimens filled with resin and with no etching, primer and bonding procesure. Polished specimens underwent temperature changed from $5^{\circ}C$ to $55^{\circ}C$ a thousand times. After thermocycling, speciemens were placed in 2 % methylene blue dye solution for 24 hours in an incubator set at $37^{\circ}C$. The teeth were sectioned buccolingually and the degree of dye penetration was observed with a stereomicroscoped(*20). The following results were obtained. 1. Both the control and the experimental group showed a lower degree of dye penetration on enamel than on dentin margins(p<0.05) 2. Gluma exhibited a statistically significant lower degree of dye penetration than All-bond 2 on enamel margins(p<0.05) Scotchbond MP also exhibited a lower degree of dye penetration than All-bone 2 but was no statistically significant. Gluma and Scotchbond MP exhibited a similar degree of dye penetration. 3. The degree of dye penetration of All-bond 2, Gluma and Scotch bond MP showed no statistically singnificance on enamel margins but was significantly lower than in the control using Vitrebond. 4. All-bond 2 exhibited a statistically significant lower degree of dye penetration than Gluma on dentin margins. All- bond 2 and Scotchbond MP showed a similar degree of dye penetration. 5. The degree of dye penetration of All-bond 2, Gluma and Scotchbond MP showed no statistically significance on dentin margins. There was neither a statistical significance with the control.

Evaluation of the improving extruded pellet for juvenile olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus (넙치 치어의 품질향상된 배합사료 개발을 위한 효과시험)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate of improving extruded pellet (EP) for growth of juvenile flounder by comparing with raw fish-based moist pellet (MP) diet. Two replicate groups of 80 fish per each tank (initial weight of $36.0{\pm}1.2 g$) were fed one of the three EPs (EP1, EP2 and CEP) and (MP for 16 weeks. Survival was not significantly affected by experimental diets (P>0.05). Weight gain of fish fed the MP was not significantly different from that of fish fed the EP1 & EP2 (P>0.05), but that of fish fed CEP was significantly lower than that of fish fed MP (P<0.05). Specific growth rate of fish fed the CEP was significantly lower than those of fish fed EP1, EP2 and MP (P<0.05). Feed efficiency of fish fed the EP1 was significantly higher than those of fish fed CEP and MP (P<0.05), but not significantly different from those of fish fed EP2 (P>0.05). The Contents of crude protein and crude lipid in whole body were significantly different among all groups (P<0.05). Therefore, these results strongly suggest that EP1 & EP2 diets could be developed to replace MP diet for flounder without adverse effects on growth performance.

THE PUBERTAL GROWTH SPURT AND SKELETAL MATURITY STAGES OF THE HAND-AND-WRIST IN NORMAL OCCLUSION (정상교합자의 사춘기성장과 수완부골 성숙단계에 관한 연구)

  • To investigate the relationship between the pubertal spurt in body height and bone maturity of the hand-and-wrist in normal occlusion, the author X-rayed the hand-and-wrists of 1,141 students (male 614, female 527) and assessed their bone maturity. In this study, eleven skeletal stages were selected. The bones used to determine skeletal maturity were the ulnar sesamoid of the metacarpophalangeal joint of the first finger, the epiphyses of the proximal, middle, distal phalanges of the third finger, and middle phalanx of the fifth finger, and distal epiphysis of the radius. From the longitudinal data for height, an assessment was made of the change in growth velocity. The pubertal growth stage was divided into onset and peak height velocity phases. The results were as follows; 1. The onset of the pubertal growth was between the $PP_3=\;and\;MP_3=$ stage for boys, and between the $MP_3=\;and\;MP_5=$ stage for girls; the mean age of onset was 10.6 years for boys and 9.0 years for girls. 2. The peak height velocity was between the S and $MP_{3_{cap}}$ stage for boys, and between the $MP_{3_{cap}}$ and $MP_{5_{cap}}$ stage for girls; the mom age of peak height velocity was 12.5 years for boys and 10.9 years for girls. 3. As the stages of bone maturity progressed from $DP_{3u},\;to\;PP_{3u},\;MP_{3u}$, Ru, the peak height velocity had been reached, and the growth rate retarded, therefore the approach to full physical maturity was attained. 4. The evidence for the period of onset, peak height velocity and bone maturation suggested that girls were in advance of boys. During the latter part of pubertal growth, the rate of boys' bone maturation was faster than that of girls'.

Gene Expression Profiling of 6-MP (6-mercaptopurine) in Liver

  • The KFDA (Korea Food & Drug Administration) has performed a collaborative toxicogenomics project since 2003. Its aim is to construct a toxicology database of 12 compounds administered to mice at initial phase. We chose 6-MP (6-mercaptopurine) which has been used in the treatment of childhood leukemia. It was administered at low (0.224 mg/kg) and at high (2.24 mg/kg) dose (5 mice per group) intraperitonealy to the postnatal 6 weeks mice, then the serum and liver were collected at the indicated time (6, 24 and 72 h) after scarification. Serum biochemical markers for liver toxicity were measured and histopathologic studies also were carried out. The gene expression profiling was carried out by using Applied Biosystems 1700 Full Genome Expression Mouse. By self-organization maps (SOM), we identified groups with unique gene expression patterns, some of them are supposed to be related to 6-MP induced toxicity, including lipid metabolism abnormality, inflammatory response, oxidative stress, ATP depletion and cell death. The potential toxic effects appearing as gene expression changes are dependent of the time of 6-MP but independent of the dosage of it. This study would contribute to establishment of international database as well as national one about hepatotoxicity.

THE VARIATION OF THE CRANIO FACIO-SKELETAL COMPLEX ACCORDING TO CHANGE OF THE GONIAL ANGLE (Gonial Angle에 따른 두부 및 안면부 골격의 변화에 관한 연구)

  • In order to know the variation of the associated craniofacial skeletal angle and linear distance according to the change of gonial angle, the roentgenographic cephalo metric study was undertaken in Korean normal cephalometric analysis and eletric computer. The fallowing results were optained. 1) The size of gonial angle is mainly depend on the lower gonial angle. The mean of upper gonial gngle is almost same in normal occlusion group$^*$ and malocclusion group. 2) It was resulted on normal group and malocclusion group by F test that the number of parameters that were significant at 5% level of confidence were 14 parameters in normal occlusion group and 22 parameters in malocclusion group. 3) Ramus height and mandibular body length increased and facial ratio is decreased as gonial angle decreased. 4) MP-T, overbite depth and Y-axis angle is not related to gonial angle in normal occlusion group, but in moloclusion group, as gonial angle decreased, MP-T and overbite depth is increased and Y-axis angle is decreased. 5) SN-MP, OP-MP, PP-MP is increased as gonial anglel increased, it was mainly depend on the lower gonial angle.
