  • Simple girder bridges are more economical than commonly used PSC box girder bridges in high-speed railway construction, if they secure the riding stability. In this study, the dynamic behavior and riding stability of the newly developed precast V-girder bridge are analyzed. The dynamic moving load analysis is used including two train load case : the KTX train and freight train.

  • The Wolmi Eunha-Rail in Incheon is connecting Wolmido and Incheon Station with an elevated monorail road supported by piers. This railroad system is characterized by driverless automatic operation and moving-block based control. The main technology applied to this signal-controlled system is CBTC (Communications-Based Train Control) which based on wireless communications. The CBTC system is simple in that composition so that can minimize field facilities and lowers costs of construction and maintenance. This CBTC system is emerging as a major signal-controlled system in the future metro market.

  • The vibration induced by high speed train running on rail is dealt with as an environmental problem. The train induced vibration is characterized by moving loads at specific frequencies and soil conditions. In fact, it is predicted that the vibration sources are involved the wheel distance, number of cars, speed of operation, drift of rails, structural born vibration, etc. In this paper the characteristics of transferring vibration induced by the high-speed train in operation is discussed. Field measurements was conducted at region from Chungnam Yungj So-jung-myan to Chungbuk Chungwon hyun-do-myun. In the near future. these data will be used as the fundamental data for establishment of the countermeasure for vibrational reduction of high speed train using the results of the field measurements and quantitative prediction of the vibration level

한국형 고속철도의 소음 전파특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Propagation Characteristic of Noise Sources for Korea Train Express)

  • In order to control the railway noise, the radiation characteristic of the noise when the train passes by should be analyzed. Generally, the major noise sources of the Korea Train Express are the rolling noise and power unit noise up to 300km/h. In this paper, a train model that is considered to be a row of point sourcesis introduced to analyze the radiation characteristic. The analysis results are compared with the measurement ones. It is shown that the propagation characteristic of the rolling noise is a dipole type and the noise generated by the power unit is radiated as a cosine type. With increasing of the train speed, the noise level at a receiving point is increased in the direction of motion and reduced in the direction opposite to the motion. The analysis results including the moving effect of the noise source at 300km/h show good agreement with the measurement results.

  • Establishing the realtime remote monitoring system of the moving test train is the important issue for the railway systems that provide comfort travel to the passengers. But it is not easy to transmit train's test data to remote site because the train runs tunnels. In this paper, we introduce the realtime monitoring system using wireless communication system which is installed in the test train. This system can provide both correct positions of unstable track and train's running status such as speed, kilopost and acceleration.

Dynamic response of steel-concrete composite bridges loaded by high-speed train

  • The paper focuses on dynamic analyses of a series of simply-supported symmetric composite steel-concrete bridges loaded by an ICE-3 train moving at high speeds up to 300 km/h. The series includes five bridges with span lengths ranging from 15 m to 27 m, with repeatable geometry of the superstructures. The objects, designed according to Polish standards valid from 1980s to 2010, are modelled on the bridges serviced on the Central Main Line in Poland since 1980s. The advanced, two-dimensional, physically nonlinear model of the bridge-track structure-high-speed train system takes into account unilateral nonlinear wheel-rail contact according to Hertz's theory and random vertical track irregularities equal for both rails. The analyses are focused on the influence of random track irregularities on dynamic response of composite steel-concrete bridges loaded by an ICE-3 train. It has been pointed out that certain restrictions on the train speed and on vertical track irregularities should be imposed.

  • This paper presents passive vibration control method to suppress train-induced vibration on a long-span steel arch bridge. According to the train load frequency analysis, undesirable resonance of a bridge will occur when the impact frequency of the train axles are close to the modal frequencies of the bridge. Because the first mode shape of the long-span steel arch bridge may take anti-symmetric shape along the bridge direction, however, the optimal control configuration for resonance suppression should be considered carefully In this study, bridge-vehicle element is used to estimate the bridge-train interaction precisely. From the numerical simulation of a loom steel arch bridge under TGV-K train loading, dynamic magnification influences are evaluated according to vehicle moving speed and efficient control system with passive dampers are presented in order to diminish the vertical displacement and vertical acceleration.

주행 중 철도 차량의 결함 위치 추정 방법 (Fault localization method of a train in cruise)

  • Faults of rotating parts of a train normally generate unexpected frequency band or impulsive sound[1] which has a period when it moves with a constant speed. The former can be detected by the moving frame acoustic holography method, which visualizes sound field that is generated by a moving and emitting pure tone or band limited noise source. We have attempted to apply the method to the latter case: the periodic impulsive sound which generate different signal compared with what can be measured by the band limited noise. The signal to noise ratio which determines the success of early fault detection must also be studied with the impulsive and moving signal. This research shows how the problems related with these issues can be resolved. The main idea is that periodic impulsive signal can be expressed by infinite set of discrete pure tones. This enables us to obtain lots of holograms that visualize periodic impulsive sound field including noise by using the moving frame acoustic holography method. Therefore holograms can be averaged to improve the signal to noise ratio until having reliable information that exhibits where the impulsive sources are.   • 계단 주파수 레이더는 송신 펄스의 주파수를 일정한 간격으로 증가시켜 넓은 합성 대역폭을 생성함으로써 고해상도 거리추정을 구현하는 방식이다. 그러나 이동표적의 경우에는 거리-도플러 결합 현상으로 인해 정확한 거리 추정이 어렵게 된다. 본 논문에서는 초기에 코히어런트 펄스열을 갖는 계단 주파수 레이더 파형을 이용하여 이동표적의 속도를 추정하고, 거리-도플러 결합 현상을 보상함으로써 얻어지는 고해상도 거리 추정 과정을 분석하고, 시뮬레이션을 통해 이를 검증하였다.

열차하중의 주행에 의한 트러스교의 동적응답에 관한 연구 (A Study on Dynamic Response of Truss Bridge due to Moving Train Loads)

  • 본 연구에서는 열차가 일정한 속도로 주행할 때 트러스교에 얼어나는 동적응답을 구해보았다. 해석은 Householder 변환과 QL법을 이용하여 고유치해석을 실시한 후 이를 토대로 모든중첩법에 의해 동적응답을 구했으며, 이것의 타당성을 밝히기 위해서는 먼저 아주 느린 속도로 하중이 주행할 때 얻어지는 응답을 정적해석프로그램에 의한 결과치와 비교하였고, 동적응답은 직접 적분법에 의한 결과 치와 비교해 보았다. 그리고 이를 토대로 열차의 속도와 형태의 변화에 따른 동적확대계수의 변화를 살펴보았으며, 또한 그것들을 시방서 규정과 비교해 보았다. 그 결과 열차의 속도가 낮은 경우 동적확대계수는 열차의 형태에 관계없이 비교적 낯은 값이 있었으나 속도가 높아질수록 형태에 따라 크게 다르고, 전도차 및 U. I. C. 하중의 경우는 그값이 시방서 규정을 초과하는 경우도 있음을 알수 있었다.
