Research on Synthesis of Radiation Noise from Moving Target (이동하는 표적의 방사소음 합성기법 연구)

  • A target signal simulation method for passive sonar systems is introduced. The method uses multirate signal processing techniques to simulate moving target signals in the multi-path sound propagation environment by introducing Lloyd's mirror and Doppler effect. Time and frequency variation of target signal due to the target maneuvering is also considered to provide realistic ship signatures in the LOFAR gram so that the simulated target is used for sonar operator training. Synthesized target characteristics is analyzed and compared with real target signal in terms of interference pattern and frequency variation in the LOFAR gram.

  • An autonomous navigation algorithm for marine vehicles is proposed in this paper using fuzzy logic under COLREG guidelines. The VFF (Virtual Force Field) method, which is widely used in the field of mobile robotics, is modified for application to the autonomous navigation of marine vehicles. This Modified Virtual Force Field (MVFF) method can be used in either track-keeping or collision avoidance modes. Moreover, the operator can select a track-keeping pattern mode in the proposed algorithm. The collision avoidance algorithm has the ability to handle static and/or moving obstacles. The fuzzy expert rules are designed deliberately under COLREG guidelines. An extensive simulation study is used to verify the proposed method.

  • Eddy current is usually generated in material with high conductivity by time-varying source such as AC current and also is induced in the moving source with relative velocity. The contactless magnetic brakes make use of the braking force from the eddy current generated by moving source and currently used for the secondary brakes of heavy trucks, buses and rail vehicles. This study aims to design the magnetization pattern of a permanent magnet type eddy current brake system to maximize the braking force. The analysis of the brake system is based on the two-dimensional finite element analysis. We use the sequential linear programming as the optimizer and the adjoint variable method for the sensitivity analysis.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand and analyze characteristics of using pattern on the physical facilities and fundamental demands about improving factors associated with management of variation type. The teachers of four middle schools are participated through questionnaires with this survey. According to the results, supplemental factors of learning activities, convenient facilities for students, factors with space utilization, moving class and arrangement of similar subject blocks are influential in order on the awareness of teachers for correspondence of variation type. In the analysis of variance based on the sampling factors, significant differences were shown in the factors of attached group, gender, age and managemental experience of variation type. Especially, the factors with moving class and convenient facilities for students are analytically more differential than the other factors, therefore, these factors must be considered in detail.

  • This paper concerns an efficient aperiodic static crab walking algorithm for quadruped walking machine in rough terrain. In this algorithm, the requirements for forward stability margin and backward stability margin could be given differently in order to consider the slope of terrain and disturbances resulting from moving velocity. To restrict the searing regions for motion variables, such as moving distances until a leg is lifted or is placed, the standard leg transferring sequence is decided to be that of wave gaits. standard support pattern is also proposed that enables the quadruped to continue forward motion using the standard leg transferring sequence without falling into deadlock.

  • In this Paper in order to break with real-time position of signal source which have first dimension motion, the N antenna is arrayed with half-circle, the incident angle of signal source from receiving power pattern to receive at receive antenna is estimated and measured, and the system that measure horizontal moving distance of signal source is designed. Signal source is constructed by 10-20dBm transmitter power which frequency is 10.52GHz of X band, and on horizontally moving the position of signal source. validity of new method is confirmed.

  • In the present study, the flow characteristics of a peristaltic micropump were numerically analyzed. A channel wall motion of the micropump was simulated using a moving mesh technique. A sine wave pattern was assumed to simulate the peristaltic motion of wall. The present numerical method was verified by comparing the result with the available numerical data. The effects of the operating conditions which include the maximum displacement and frequency of the channel wall and the phase difference between top and bottom walls on the flow characteristics were investigated. From these numerical results, the pressure-flowrate characteristic curve was obtained for various maximum displacement and frequencies.

  • Presented in this paper is a newly developed motion planning method of an autonomous mobile robot(MAR) which can be applied to flexible manufacturing systems(FMS). The mobile robot is designed for transporting tools and workpieces between a set-up station and machines according to production schedules of the whole FMS. The proposed method is implemented based on an earlier developed real-time obstacle avoidance method which employs Kohonen network for pattern classification of sonar readings and fuzzy logic for local path planning. Particulary, a novel obstacle avoidance method for moving objects using a collision index, collision possibility measure, is described. Our method has been tested on the SNU mobile robot. The experimental results show that the robot successfully navigates to its target while avoiding moving objects.

  • This paper develops a method for reliably estimating an UEP(Unstable Equilibrium Point) which is located in the direction of SEP(Stable Equilibrium Point)'s moving as system load is getting heavy. As power systems are getting loaded heavily, the SEP which is an operable solution, and the UEP which is occurring voltage collapse, are moving toward each other linearly. The estimated UEP is used as a good initial guess for the real UEP. The proposed method is tested by 3 bus system and Stagg 5 bus system. It is demonstrated that the proposed method is very useful for assessing system voltage stability in the case of heavy loaded power system. The result solutions are often used in conjunction with energy methods and the stability margin.
