  • The coreless linear synchronous motor (coreless LSM) has been widely used as a driving source of semiconductor production processes for machine speeding up, positioning accuracy and simple maintenance. However, this coreless LSM suffers the disadvantage of decreased thrust force created by the leakage of magnetic flux. With the goal of increasing the generated thrust force and decreasing the cogging force, the slot of the core part was removed and a moving-coil-type slotless LSM (moving-coil-type slotless LSM) is proposed in this paper. Although this moving-coil-type slotless LSM with a back-yoke at the primary side demonstrated an increase in the generated thrust force, it remained capable of generating the cogging force when the primary side was moved due to the position between the permanent magnet and the back-yoke. Therefore, we attempted to decrease the cogging force of the moving-coil-type slotless LSM. We found that the back-yoke length at the primary side needs to be made $0.5{\tau}$ longer than the integral multiple of the magnetic pole pitch in order to decrease the cogging force created by the moving-coil-type slotless LSM.

  • We do research on the simulation of Doppler effect from a target's moving under the sea by Transmission Line Matrix modeling which is one of numerical methods on time domain. To implement the effect, the input signal was entered at a moving node according to a moving target's moving speed. The result had maximum 2.47% error compared with the theoretical value. And from simulation results with speed control of a moving target, we could also obtain resonable results within 0.63% error range.

  • Video Data includes moving objects which change spatial positions as time goes by. In this paper, we propose a new modeling method for a moving object contained in the video data. In order to effectively retrieve moving objects, the proposed modeling method represents the spatial position and the size of a moving object. It also represents the visual features and the trajectory by considering direction, distance and speed or moving objects as time goes by. Therefore, It allows various types of retrieval such as visual feature based similarity retrieval, distance based similarity retrieval and trajectory based similarity retrieval and their mixed type of weighted retrieval.

  • Moving object tracking is very important in video surveillance system. This paper presents a method for tracking moving objects in an outdoor environment. To moving object tracking, first, after extract object that move yielding weight subtraction image and then use close operator to reduce the noise. And we track a object that move detected by matching the extracted multi-feature information. The proposed tracking technique can track moving object by multi-feature matching method so that exactly tracking the objects which are suddenly move or stop. The proposed tracking technique can be efficiently tracking the moving objects, because of combined with spatial position, shape and intensity informations.

  • This study was to examine how visual angle of matrix corresponding to the physical properties of P300 speller and eye gaze corresponding to the user's personal characteristics influence on the accuracy of P300. Visual angle of the matrix was operated as the distance between the user and the matrix and three groups were composed: 60 cm group, 100 cm groups, and 150 cm group. Eye gaze methods was consisted three conditions. Head moving condition was putting eye gaze using head, pupil moving condition was moving pupil with the head fixed, while the eye fixed condition is to fix the eye gaze at the center of the matrix. The results showed that there was significant difference in the accuracy of P300 speller according to the eye gaze method. The accuracy of the head moving condition was higher than the accuracy of pupil moving conditions, accuracy of pupil moving conditions was higher than the accuracy of the eye fixed conditions. However, the effect of visual angle of matrix and interaction effect were not significant. When P300 amplitude of target character was measured depending on how you stare at the target character, P300 amplitude of the head moving condition was greater than P300 amplitude of the pupil moving condition. There was no significant difference in the error distribution in head moving condition and pupil moving condition, while there was a significant difference between two eye gaze conditions and fixed gaze condition. The error was located at the neighboring characters of the target character in head moving condition and pupil moving condition, while the error was relatively distributed widely in fixed eye condition, error was occurred with high rate in characters far away from the center of matrix.

  • The purpose of this study is to assess the ability of balance control in moving surround using head mount device and force platform and to examine the clinical usefulness of COP parameters. Fifteen patients with stroke and healthy persons were participated. COP parameters were obtained as total path distance, frequency of anterior-posterior and medial-lateral component by FFT analysis, weight-spectrum analysis in the two different conditions; (1) in comfortable standing with opened or closed eyes, (2) in virtual moving surround delivered using HMD to four different moving pattern. In virtual moving surround setting, moving pattern was composed of close-far, superior-inferior tilting(pitch), right-left tilting(roll) and horizontal rotation(yaw) movement. In all parameters, the reliebility of COP analysis system was significantly high. Also, the construct validity compared between fifteen patients with stroke and normal persons was excellent in virtual moving surround condition(p

  • A new moving boundary technique for leap-frog finite difference numerical mode is proposed for the resonable simulation of coastal inundation over discontinuous topography. The new scheme improves the moving boundary technique developed by Imamura(1996). The present scheme is tested using the analytical solution of Thacker(1981) for the case of free oscillation with moving boundary in a parabolic bowl. Finally, a numerical simulation is conducted for the flooding over a tidal barrier constructed on a simple concave geometry. A general feature of inundation over a discontinuous topography is well described by the numerical model.

  • This paper presents an analytic method of examining the out-of-plane vibration of continuous curved beam on periodical supports. The orthogonality of two distinct sets of mode shape functions is derived. The forced vibration of beam due to moving loads is examined. Two types of moving loads, which are concentrated load and uniformly distributed load, are considered. The response characteristics of beam induced by these loads are investigated as well.

  • This paper considers a localization problem of a moving tag on RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) systems, where a positioning engine collects TDOA(Time-difference of Arrival) signal from a target tag to estimate the position of the tag. To localize the tag in the RFID system, we develop two heuristic algorithms and evaluate their performance in the estimation error and computational time by using randomly generated numerical examples. Based upon the performance evaluation, we can conclude our algorithms are valuable for localization the moving target.

  • In this paper, we proposed the method computing the optimal solution of Optical Flow(OF) representing the moving information of moving object and improving the operating speed. In order to do that, we computed the optimal solution of OF using the Combinatorial Hough Transform(CHT) and Voting accumulation and simply searched the moving object compared to conventional method.
