Effect of Gait Initiation Training on Gait and Center of Pressure Displacement During Early Phase of Gait in Stroke Patients (보행 개시 훈련이 뇌졸중 환자의 보행 초기 단계 신체 압력중심 이동과 보행에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of gait initiation training on gait and center of pressure (CoP) during gait initiation in stroke patients. Twenty-three subjects were randomly assigned to either an experimental group (EG) or a control group (CG). The EG received gait initiation training with increased CoP posterior distances the maximum the rear on gait training. The CG received general gait training. Both groups received training three times a week over a period of four consecutive weeks. The figures for CoP distances the maximum the rear, CoP distances time the mover the maximum the rear, the Tinetti Performance-Oriented Mobility Assessment (POMA), and gait velocity were recorded both before and after the training sessions for both groups. The EG's results for CoP distances the maximum the rear, CoP distances time the mover the maximum the rear, and POMA improved after training (p<.05). In terms of the rate of change of CoP distances the maximum the rear, the EG demonstrated a significantly higher increase (p<.05) than did the CG. The results of this study suggest that increased CoP distances the maximum the rear affect the gait initiation and gait performance of stroke patients. Further studies with a larger sample size are necessary to verify the accuracy of the results of this study.

  • In the maritime container terminal. LMCTS (Linear Motor-based Container Transfer System) is horizontal transfer system for the yard automation, which In., been proposed to take the place of AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle). The system is based on PMLSM (Permanent Magnetic Linear Synchronous Motor) that is consists of stator modules on the rail and shuttle car (mover). Because of large variant of mover's weight by loading and unloading containers, the difference of each characteristic of stator modules, and a stator module's trouble etc. LMCTS is considered as that the system is changed its model suddenly and variously. In this paper, we will introduce the softcomputing method of a multi-step prediction control for LMCTS using DR- FNN (Dynamically-constructed Recurrent Fuzzy Neural Network). The proposed control system is used two networks for multi step prediction Consequently, the system has an ability to adapt for external disturbance, detent force, force ripple, and sudden changes by loading and unloading the container.

  • In this paper, the power conditioner composed of the stand-alone single-phase squirrel cage rotor type self-excited induction generator (SEIG) driven by prime movers such as a wind turbine and a micro gas turbine (MGT) is presented by using the steady-state circuit analysis based on the two nodal admittance approaches using the per-unit frequency in addition to a new state variable defined by the per-unit slip frequency along with its performance evaluations for the stand-alone energy utilizations. The stande-alone single-phase SEIG operating performances in unregulated voltage control loop are then evaluated on line under the conditions of the speed change transients of the prime mover and the stand-alone electrical passive load power variations with the simple theoretical analysis and the efficient computation processing procedures described in the part I of this paper. In addition, a feasuible PI controlled feedback closed-loop voltage regulation scheme of the stande-alone single-phase SEIG is designed on the basis of the static VAR compensate. (SVC) and discussed in experiment for the promising stand-alone power conditioner. The experimental operating performance results are illustrated and give good agreements with the simulation ones. The simulation and experimental results of the stand-alone single-phase SEIG with the simple SVC controller for its stabilized voltage regulation prove the practical effectiveness of the additional SVC control loop scheme including the PI controller with fast response characteristics and steady-sate performance improvements.

  • This study purpose is to know about the effect of Cobb's angle of scoliosis patient by Pilates ecercise. It was executed for prove this exercise with Pilates Postural Correct Exercise(PCE), Spine Stretching Exercis(SSE), Muscle Strengthing Exercise(MSE). PCE is useful for unbalanced muscle energy and SSE gives relax for hypertensioned muscles and MSE is correcting balance for prime mover and secondary mover and so it will be recovery for elasticity and flexibility of paraspine muscles. The method study was proved with a Cobb's angle measurement of Lumbar spine by X-ray test before and after. As a result for the test, Cobb's angle by X-ray it shows reduced about 5 degree in statistics(p=0.005). And so It shows the Pilates exercise gives reduce for Scoliosis.

  • The location information of the people or mover is essential for supporting various smart mobility services in railway stations which are mostly underground. For this purpose, a smart braille block is proposed to identify the location of the mover of the people. In this paper, the frequency characteristics of each material of the upper and lower parts of the braille block are analyzed to examine the appropriate materials for railway history. In addition, the guidelines for actual manufacturing were derived by analyzing the separation distance between two RF sensors in the smart braille block. As a result of analysis through the characteristic analysis in this paper, after selecting the material suitable for the construction site when the smart braille block is applied, the performance change of the RF system, especially the antenna that greatly influences the RF performance, must be reviewed in advance. It seems to have to be applied after checking through.

  • In this thesis, the emphasis is laid especially on the culture & structure of Huizhou Province, China as the prime mover of the specifically-regional Huizhou $X{\bar{i}}n^{\prime}{\bar{a}}n$ medicine. Huizhou was the home town & stronghold of Neo-coufucian masters Cheng-Zhu (Cheng brothers and Zhu-hsi)". The tradition of the region as "The arts province" resulted in the flourishing trend of nurturing prominent Confucian-doctors. The remarkable all round activities of Huizhou Merchants (新安商人 $X{\bar{i}}n^{\prime}{\bar{a}}nsh{\bar{a}}ngr{\acute{e}}n$), as the reigning power merchant at the period were the second mover of the Zeitgeist. Their nation-wide network all over China made it possible to gain valuable inlormation and access to news including the field of medicine in time. Some merchants actually have "abandoned their own jobs to become doctors of medicine". This Confucian-Merchant culture was one of intrinsic characteristics of Huizhou region, inducing "Pragmatic Scholarship". With the enlargement of the population of Confucian-tumed doctors and improvement of the societal status of doctors, the resultant occupational triad of local Confucian govemment officials, local $X{\bar{i}}n^{\prime}{\bar{a}}nsh{\bar{a}}ngr{\acute{e}}n$ merchants, and local doctors was established after the Middle-Ming Dynasty. Ultimately, the two prime movers of the concomitant development of medicine in the Province Huizhou in this study are concluded to be the synergy effects of the Neo-Confucian tradition and economic power of the prevalent Huizhou Merchants ($X{\bar{i}}n^{\prime}{\bar{a}}nsh{\bar{a}}ngr{\acute{e}}n$).

Entrepreneurship and Market Leadership in Culture Industry (문화산업에서 기업가정신의 발현과 마켓리더십)

  • The culture industry has been considered very important as firms utilize human creativity as the main source for providing high-value-added services. In this industry, the inspirations and ideas of individual creators have been stressed rather than the roles of entrepreneurs so far. However, in recent years, due to the influence of "Hallyu" or the Korean Wave, entrepreneurial firms have actively participated in producing a variety of products embracing cultural value. In this vein, the entrepreneurship-related elements such as the degree of leaders' innovativeness, risk-taking environment, first mover advantage, employee compensation, and tolerance to failure were selected to investigate their effects on market leadership. As a result, it was observed that risk-taking environment, first mover advantage, employee compensation, and tolerance to failure had a positive effect whereas leaders' innovativeness was not statistically meaningful. These findings show that the creation of an atmosphere where employees' creativity can be fully appreciated is more important than the leader' insight-driven innovativeness. The results of this study indicate that when companies formulate strategies and the government initiate policies in the culture industry, entrepreneurship should be incorporated as a crucial element.

Relationship between anticipatory postural adjustment of the trunk, dual tasks and physical performance with chronic stroke survivors: a pilot test

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between anticipatory postural adjustment (APA), single task, dual tasks and physical performances. The trunk muscles of APA consist of bilateral erector spinae (ES) and bilateral internal oblique (IO) adnominal muscles, during rapid stepping with the affected or unaffected leg in a sitting posture. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: In patients with chronic stroke, electrodes of surface electromyography (EMG) were attached on the bilateral erector spinae (ES), bilateral internal oblique adnominal (IO), and bilateral rectus femoris (RF) muscles. RF acts as the prime mover. The stroke patients performed hip flexion until $20^{\circ}$ as fast as possible at each leg in a sitting posture according to a visual cue. The visual cue unexpectedly appeared on monitor in front of the stroke patient. The single task was the Timed Up and Go (TUG) test. The dual tasks were the TUGconitive, which increased cognitive capacity, and the TUGmanual task, which had an external focus. Results: All EMG data showed earlier onset latency before the prime mover. In affected leg raising, the onset time of unaffected ES muscle of the stroke patients was correlated with the single and dual tasks (p<0.05). In unaffected leg raising, the onset time of the affected IO muscle was related to all the tasks (p<0.05). Gait speed showed a relationship with the unaffected ES muscle only. Conclusions: The trunk muscles of the bilateral ES and bilateral IO play an important role in APA. The single and dual tasks using TUG test were correlated with the APA s of ES and IO muscles. Dual task by the TUG test is a good measuring tool for reflecting the real life in patients with chronic stroke.

  • Except for some fields, Smart Grid-related technology in Korea is considered to be below the level of developed countries. Under this situation, this study is conducted to look into IT technology related to Smart Grid and draw prospective IT R&D fields in the Smart Grid Industry. To seek out prospective IT R&D fields, the two-stage process evaluating economics, political property, and technical validity. According to the result, four fields of (1) sensor, (2) information protection, (3) AMI middleware, (4) electricity management are selected as prospective fields. The sensor and AMI middleware fields focus on development of key technology, so the strategy that launches leading products in global market faster than other countries(Focusing & First Mover Strategy). The information protection felid is divided into the safety technology for the felid electricity network and the personal & corporate information protection technology, and therefore the R&D Sharing strategy is efficient. For the electricity management filed, a strategic alliance for developing component technology of Grid is desirable.

  • This study examined the effect of ingredient branding strategies for late entrants as one of the strategic tools to overcome first-mover advantages. Specifically, this study investigated whether brand origin information of the ingredients and price information of the ingredient branding product affect consumer evaluation. A sample of 400 university students were randomly assigned to 2 experimental studies. Results from study 1 showed that the market position of ingredient brand and brand origin information significantly influenced consumers' evaluation on the ingredient branding product. In addition, from the study 2, this study found that price information significantly moderated the effects of the order of market entry and brand origin information of the ingredients on the consumers' evaluation on the ingredient branding product. Implications for brand strategies to overcome the late-entrant disadvantages are discussed.
