  • Proprioception means the ability to perceive the sensation of position and movement of body. As it is transmitted to central nervous system and used in feed-back or feed-forward motor control, proprioception allows us to keep our normal movement and normal balance activity. However, the conditions such as injury, disease, aging and fatigue can damage the proprioceptiive sensation of position, movement and lead to a functional impairment and additional damages in musculoskeletal system, because they alter the amount of proprioceptive ability that transfer into the central nervous system. The purpose of this study was to identify the definition and the function of proprioception, to look into variations in injury, disease, aging and fatigue that can be easily met in clinical application and eventually to provide valuable aid for assessment and treatment.

  • Purpose : The neurologically impaired patients have sensory, motor, cognition, perception problems which cause reduction of body schema, balance control and postural control provoke disfunction. The purpose of this case report was to evaluate effects on gait&balance upon improvement of postural control for left hemiplegia. Methods : This study has performed single subject design from March to April 2013 for 6 weeks. The subject of this study was a 67years old female patient with left hemiplegia. Timed Up and Go (TUG) test and Functional Reach (FR) test were used as evaluation tool. The subject was treated 5 times a week for 30 minutes each. Results : The result is that the walking velocity was decreased, the ability of gait was improved than before the training. The length of FR was increased from 8.33cm to 22.67cm. Conclusion : According to the results, the treatment improves subject's ability of walking in this study.

  • By the use of he DSP and microprocessor controller many high power converter such as especially inverter and motor drive system may be enhanced resulting in the improved robustness of EMI the ability to communicate the operating conditions and the ease of adjusting the control parameters. However the digital controller using DSP or microprocessor has not been applied in the high frequency switching power supplies especially in full bridge dc/dc converters. this paper presents a promising solution to the dc bias control problem of high frequency transformer in high power full bridge converter.

  • The new guidance law for a missile with the varying velocity after the rocket motor burned out is presented. This guidance is mechanized by combining the proportional navigation and the pure pursuit navigation. Some simulations are performed and then the simulation results show that the guidance law presented is effective even if the vehicle speed decreases significantly and has higher off-boresight ability than the proportional navigation.

  • In this paper, the control law for the system that has the variation of moment of inertia is designed. The proposed method is that the control input is obtained by using optimal PI control and partial adaptive control. The partial adaptive control input is adjusted by estimating the variational quantity of moment of inertia. This result gives us significant improvement of tracking ability.

  • The switched reluctance motor(SRM) drive system provides a good adjustable speed and torque characteristics. However, because of the torque production mechanism, it also has some disadvantage such as higher torque ripple and fluctuation in speed. To reduce torque ripple and to control speed precisely, digital signal processor(BSP) is adopted. The DSP TMS320F241 was used to be realized this drive system. Test results show that the suggested control system has the ability of dynamic and precise speed control.

  • Background: In this research, we conducted an analysis to grasp the relationship between hearing and quality of life and to prepare effective troubleshooting. Methods: In this study, we analyzed using the data of the 6th term of the National Health and Nutrition Survey of the Disease Management Headquarters. And, out of 7,380 people, 3,598 adults over the age of 40 years who participated in the hearing test were selected as final research subjects and analyzed. Results: It was confirmed that the result of the analysis affects the quality of life based on hearing. The quality of life associated with hearing loss was unpleasant, motor ability, anxiety/depression, and everyday life affected in order of self management. And factors having an effect on the quality of life of the study subjects were found to be gender, elderly, unmarried, low hearing, low household income, absence of economic activity, and low teaching standards. Conclusion: The conclusion is that strengthening education for realistic management and prevention rather than treatment for unconditional hearing impairment will overcome low self esteem and loneliness and alleviate any uncomfortable life that people with hearing loss give. It is expected to be possible.
