저가격 관성 센서를 이용한 펜 형 입력 장치의 개발 (Design of a pen-shaped input device using the low-cost inertial measurement units)

  • 본 논문에서는 사용자가 2차원 또는 3차원 상에서 필기를 하는 경우의 관성치를 측정할 수 있는 가속도계와 각속도계를 장착한 펜형 입력 장치를 소개한다. 각속도계의 측정치를 한 번 적분해 시스템의 자세를 구하며 이는 가속도에 포함되어 있는 중력 가속도 성분을 제거하는 데 사용된다. 시스템의 위치는 보정된 가속도를 두 번 적분해 구한다. 이러한 원리는 관성 항법 시스템에서 보편적으로 사용되는 것이다. 그러나 필기 궤적을 복원하기 위해 사용되는 이중 적분 과정으로 인해 위치 측정치의 정확도는 시간이 지남에 따라 심각하게 떨어진다. 이러한 문제는 관성 항법 시스템에 있어 일반적인 경우이며 통상 외부의 기준 신호나 기타 정보를 이용한 주기적 또는 비주기적인 시스템의 교정을 통해 해결된다. 본 논문에서는 위치 및 속도의 보정은 온라인과 오프라인 교정 과정을 통해 이루어진다. 온라인 교정 과정에서는 칼만 필터를 이용한 보상 필터 기법을 사용한다. 오프라인 교정 과정에서는 최종적인 시스템의 항법 오차의 상수 성분을 속도 정보와 움직임 검지 알고리듬을 통해 제거한다. 실제 실험을 통해 제안된 시스템의 유용성과 효용성을 보인다.

적외선 스테레오 카메라를 이용한 소형 이동체의 거리 측정 (Distance Measurement of Small Moving Object using Infrared Stereo Camera)

  • 본 논문에서는 스테레오 적외선 카메라를 이용하여 소형 및 고온으로 날아가는 이동체의 거리를 실시간으로 측정하는 시스템을 제안한다. 이동체와 주변 환경의 온도 차이를 측정하고 고속으로 이동하는 소형 이동체의 거리를 자동으로 측정하기 위하여 적외선 스테레오 카메라 시스템을 구축하였다. 우선 적외선 카메라를 이용하여 취득한 고온의 이동체 영상으로부터 주변의 온도분포와 이동체간의 온도차를 이용하여 이동체영역을 검출하고, 이동체의 움직임 정보와 적외선 카메라 영상의 밝기정보를 결합하여 이동체를 추적한다. 좌우 적외선 카메라 영상에 대하여 각각 추출된 이동체 영역을 중심으로 스테레오 정합을 수행하여 시차정보를 추정하고, 카메라 파라미터와 시차정보를 이용하여 실시간으로 이동하는 이동체의 거리를 추정한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 적외선 스테레오 카메라 시스템을 검증하기 위하여 고온의 이동체를 촬영할 때, 3차원 궤적(x,y,z) 측정기를 함께 가동하여 이동체가 이동하는 거리를 측정하여 이를 기준 거리(ground truth)로 설정하였다. 3차례의 비디오 데이터로부터 실험한 결과, 적외선 스테레오 카메라를 이용한 고온/소형 이동체의 거리오차 측정 결과는 평균적으로 9.68%로 추정되었다. 스테레오 적외선 카메라의 타이밍 문제(jitter)를 고려하면, 실제로 추정 오차는 줄어들 것으로 판단되기 때문에, 향후 적외선 카메라를 이용하는 다양한 이동체의 거리 및 위치를 측정하는데 응용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

선회주행 시 차체의 비틀림 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Torsional Characteristics of the Car Body Types at Cornering Motion)

  • 탄성변형과 피로손상은 카트의 주행성능에 영향을 미치는 것으로 카트 프레임에 영구변형을 유발할 수 있다. 카트프레임은 현가장치와 다른 장치를 포함하지 않으므로 두 가지 변형에 결정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있는 코너주행 시 동적 거동은 비틀림 변형이 원인이 된다. 선회주행 시 카트의 동적 거동을 분석하기 위해 카트의 GPS추적이 실시간으로 이루어지고 카트 프레임에 작용하는 비틀림 응력값을 측정하였다. 레저카트와 레이싱카트의 재료물성치들은 인장실험을 통해 얻었다. 비틀림 응력집중과 프레임 변형은 얻어진 결과 값을 토대로 프레임의 응력해석을 통하여 파악하였다. 개발된 주행분석장치를 이용하여 레저카트와 레이싱카트를 각 조건별로 실차실험을 수행하였고 이를 통한 코너에서 카트의 주행거동을 살펴보았다. 카트가 곡선주행 시 원심력으로 인해 하중이동이 발생하였으며 카트프레임에 비틀림 응력이 발생하였다. 예를 들어 레저카드의 경우, 40 km/h의 속도로 운전할 때 최대 비틀림 피로한도를 측정한 최대 비틀림응력은 230 MPa이며 비틀림 피로한도계수는 0.65를 나타내었다. 뿐만 아니라 카트의 선회 시 운전요소들을 운전측정시스템을 인스톨한 실측장비에서 측정하였으며 카트의 운전거동은 수직변위에 의해 측정하였다.

지능형 비디오 분석을 위한 적응적 배경 생성 기반의 이상행위 검출 (Abnormal Behavior Detection Based on Adaptive Background Generation for Intelligent Video Analysis)

  • 지능형 비디오 분석시스템은 불특정 다수의 객체가 가지는 행동을 분석하고, 불의의 사고를 사전에 예측하여 관리자에게 경고를 전달하는 기술을 필요로 한다. 본 논문은 적응적으로 배경을 생성하여 월담, 실신, 버려진 물체, 배회와 같이 사전에 정의된 이상행위를 분석하는 기술을 제안한다. 제안된 비디오 분석 시스템은 배경 생성과 이상 행위 분석 모듈로 구성된다. 강건한 배경 생성을 위해서 영상 내의 움직임 변화를 검출하여 매 순간마다 움직임이 없는 영역을 지속적으로 갱신하고, 이를 기반으로 객체를 검출한다. 또한 객체 검출의 정확성을 높이기 위해 검출된 결과에서 잡음과 그림자 제거 단계를 추가하였다. 이상행위 분석 모듈에서는 검출된 객체로부터 무게 중심, 실루엣, 크기, 이동 궤적 정보를 추출한다. 이때 이상행위의 판단은 월담, 실신, 버려진 물체, 배회에 따라 시나리오 환경으로 구성하고 분석하였다. 실험 결과에서 제안된 시스템은 복잡한 배경 환경에서도 이동 객체 검출 및 이상행위 분석이 가능하였다.

슈퍼트위스팅 슬라이딩모드를 이용한 선박계류시스템의 동적제어 (Sliding Mode Control with Super-Twisting Algorithm for Surge Oscillation of Mooring Vessel System)

  • 본 논문에서는 바람, 파도, 조류 등의 큰 외란조건에서 선박계류시스템의 계류안정성 확보를 위한 동적제어기 설계를 연구하였다. 선박계류시스템의 비선형 동요를 억제하기 위해 슈퍼트위스팅 알고리즘(STA)을 포함한 슬라이딩 모드 제어(SMC) 기법이 적용되었다. 외란이나 파라미터의 불확실성에 대한 강인성의 장점에도 불구하고, 채터링은 슬라이딩 모드 제어기를 적용하는데 주요 단점이 되고 있다. 1차계 SMC는 정확히 제어 목표치에 수렴 하도록 정밀한 제어는 가능하나, 채터링과 같은 파괴적인 현상과 연계되어 적용에 주요한 장애가 된다. 대신에, STA는 큰 외란에도 불구하고 비교적 높은 정확도를 보이며 채터링 현상을 완전히 제거한다. 1차계 슬라이딩 모드 제어기의 채터링 문제를 피할 수 있는 STA기반의 SMC는 비선형 계류시스템의 동적제어를 위한 아주 효과적인 수단으로 판단된다. 아울러, STA로 제어된 선박계류시스템의 위치오차 궤적은 경계 구역 내에서 형성된다. 끝으로, 슬라이딩 표면과 위치궤적의 오차결과를 통해 STA의 이득제어 효과도 관측할 수 있다.

캠방식 채소 정식기의 작동 특성 및 식부장치 작동 메커니즘 분석 (Operational Characteristics of a Cam-type Vegetable Transplanter and Mechanism of a Transplanting Device)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 밭작물 재배농가에서 주로 사용되는 캠방식 채소 정식기를 대상으로 작동특성 및 식부장치 작동 메커니즘 분석을 수행하였다. 정식기의 주요 구성요소 및 동력전달경로를 파악하였으며, 주행속도 및 주간거리 단수 변화에 따른 최대 및 최소 작동주기를 도출하였다. 이를 바탕으로 3D모델링 및 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 식부호퍼 극하단점의 궤적 및 조건별 주간거리를 도출하였으며 필드시험을 통해 실제 주간거리와 비교 검증하였다. 주요 결과로써, 식부장치는 13개의 링크와 17개의 회전 조인트 및 1개의 하프 조인트로 구성된 1 자유도의 기구이며, 각 부분들은 캠과 링크장치들의 복합구조를 갖는다. 식부장치 요소들의 연속적이고 반복적인 운동에 의해 식부호퍼는 지면과 연직인 자세를 유지하며 묘를 안정적으로 정식한다. 동력은 엔진과 변속기를 통해 주행부 및 식부장치로 전달되었으며 식부장치의 최대 및 최소 주간거리는 각각 약 900 mm 및 350 mm이다.

로봇 인터페이스 활용을 위한 가속도 센서 기반 제스처 인식 (Accelerometer-based Gesture Recognition for Robot Interface)

  • 로봇 자체 또는 로봇에 탑재된 콘텐츠와의 상호작용을 위해 일반적으로 영상 또는 음성 인식 기술이 사용된다. 그러나 영상 음성인식 기술은 아직까지 기술 및 환경 측면에서 해결해야 할 어려움이 존재하며, 실적용을 위해서는 사용자의 협조가 필요한 경우가 많다. 이로 인해 로봇과의 상호작용은 터치스크린 인터페이스를 중심으로 개발되고 있다. 향후 로봇 서비스의 확대 및 다양화를 위해서는 이들 영상 음성 중심의 기존 기술 외에 상호보완적으로 활용이 가능한 인터페이스 기술의 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 로봇 인터페이스 활용을 위한 가속도 센서 기반의 제스처 인식 기술의 개발에 대해 소개한다. 본 논문에서는 비교적 어려운 문제인 26개의 영문 알파벳 인식을 기준으로 성능을 평가하고 개발된 기술이 로봇에 적용된 사례를 제시하였다. 향후 가속도 센서가 포함된 다양한 장치들이 개발되고 이들이 로봇의 인터페이스로 사용될 때 현재 터치스크린 중심으로 된 로봇의 인터페이스 및 콘텐츠가 다양한 형태로 확장이 가능할 것으로 기대한다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. Our department has developed an information system for routine hematology using down-sized computer system. We have used an IBM 486 compatible PC with 16MB main memory, 210 MB hard disk drive, 9 RS-232C port and 24 pin dot printer. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer. The frame and leaflet of the polymer valve were made from polyurethane, To evaluate the hemodynamic performance of the polymer valve a comparative study of flow dynamics past a polymer valve and a St. Jude Medical prosthetic valve under physiological pulsatile flow conditions in vitro was made. Comparisons between the valves were made on the transvalvular pressure drop, regurgitation volume and maximum valve opening area. The polymer valve showed smaller regurgitation volume and transvalvular pressure drop compared to the mechanical valve at higher heart rate.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N.
