It tends to user needs motion recognition-based input device are increasing. Existing motion recognition mouse is equipped with a modified form of the mouse button on the outside and serves as a wheel mouse left and right buttons. Existing motion recognition mouse is to manufacture a small, there is a difficulty to operate the button. It is to apply the motion recognition technology the motion recognition technology is used only pointing the cursor there is a limit. In this paper, use of MEMS-based motion recognition sensor, the body of the two-point operation data by recognizing the operation of the (thumb and forefinger) and generating a control signal, followed by studies on the generated control signal to a wireless transmitting computer input device.

  • In this paper, a CMOS digital image sensor, which consists of A/D conversion, motion estimation circuits, and an attention module for ROI (Region of Interest) detection is presented. The functions of A/D conversion and motion estimation are implemented by $0.6{\mu}m$ CMOS processing circuit as hardware, and the attention module is implemented outside the circuit as software currently. Attention modules are taken to improve limited applications of the smart image sensor. The current smart image sensor responses to the changes of intensity, and uses the integration time to estimate motion. Therefore it is limited in its applications. To make up for inherent property of the sensor from circuit design and extend its applications we decide to introduce perception solutions to the image sensor. Attention modules for still and moving images are employed to achieve such purposes. The suggested approach makes the smart image sensor available with additional functions for such cases that motion estimation or intensity changes are not observed. Experimental result shows the usefulness and extension of the image sensor.

  • This study is proposed the novel PPG sensor device and the signal processing method to replace the acceleration sensor that is used to reject motion artifacts contained in photoplethysmography(PPG). The proposed method is to reject motion artifacts by an adaptive filter based on the estimated motion artifact by using a blue LED light. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method experimentally, We did design a novel sensor consisted of blue/red LEDs and photo-sensor and implemented, and then rejected the motion artifacts by using an adaptive filter and the implemented sensor. In the results of the experiments, it is shown that the proposed sensor device and signal processing can reconstruct the PPG signal despite the occurrence of motion artifacts, and also that the SNR was 4.5 times of moving average filter. According to the experimental results, the proposed method can be applied to design a low-cost device.

  • In this paper, wireless interface of the motion between human and robot is implemented. The idea is that if a human who is equiped with device including accelerometer and rate-gyro sensor move his/her arm, then the robot follows human motion. The robot is designed as wheeled type mobile robot with two link arms. The robot´s basic movements such as forward, backward, left, right movement can be controlled from foot sensor which human steps on. Arm movements can be controlled by arm motion of human motion. In order to detect human motion, sensor data analysis from gyro and accelerometer has to be done. Data from sensors are transferred through wireless communication to activate the robot.

  • Motion tracking and localization devices are an important building block of motion tracking systems in a virtual reality (VR) environment. This study is about improving the accuracy of motion and location for enhancing user immersion in experience type VR environment to position tracking technique. In this study, we propose and test a design of such a device. The module data test of the attitude and heading reference system shows that the implementation with the MPU-9250 sensor is successful and adequate to be used with short operation time. We consider various sensor hardware dependencies of VR, and compare various correction methods and filtering methods to lower the motion to photon (MTP) time that user movement is fully reflected on the display using sensor devices. The Kalman filter is used to combine the accelerometer with the gyroscope in the sensing unit.

  • Jump rope has two motions. It starts as hand motion and ends as jump motion. Therefore, two motions should be considered together to detect rotations accurately. But previous researches only consider one of the two motions as in push-up, sit-up, lift dumbbells etc, which results in inaccurate detection of rotations. In this paper, detection of rotation in jump rope using two motions through 6-axis accelerometer gyro sensor is proposed. Jump motion is detected using accelerometer sensor and hand motion is detected using gyro sensor. Also start point and end point of jump rope is detected using magnitude and standard deviation of accelerometer and gyro sensor values. The count of rotation is detected using y-axis of gyro sensor value. Y-axis of gyro sensor value indicate hand motion of jump rope motion. The usefulness of the proposed method is confirmed through experimental results.

  • Recently, intelligent surveillance camera systems are needed popularly. However, current researches are focussed on improvement of a single module rather than implementation of an integrated system. In this paper, we implemented a wireless surveillance camera system which is composed of face detection, and using motion sensor. In our implementation, we used a camera module from SHARP, a pair of wireless video transmission module from ECOM, a pair of ZigBee RF wireless transmission module from ROBOBLOCK, and a motion sensor module (AMN14111) from PANASONIC. We used OpenCV library for face dection and MFC for implement software. We identified real-time operations of face detection, PTT control, and motion sensor detecton. Thus, the implemented system will be useful for the applications of remote control, human detection, and using motion sensor.

  • Due to the increasing demand for more rapid, precise and accurate geolocation of the targets on video frames from UAVs, an efficient and timely method for correcting sensor models of motion imagery is required. In this paper, we propose a method to adjust or correct sensor models of motion imagery frames using space resection via image matching with reference data. The proposed method adopts image matching between the motion imagery frames and the reference frames which are synthesized from reference data. Ground or reference control points are generated or selected through the matching process in near real time, and are used for space resection to get adjusted sensor models. Finally, more precise and accurate geolocation of the targets can possibly be done on the fly, and we have got the promising result on performance analysis in terms of the geolocation quality.

  • These days, citizens are interested in the energy. IT technology needs to develop and to make use of energy effectively and to save energy. In this study, motion recognition LED lamp was used to have good energy efficiency and to be made of environment friendly material. The purpose of development of the lamp was to add motion recognition to LED lamp. In this study, infrared ray sensor's distance measurement was used to develop LED lamp. Most of the lamps were used under dark environment, so that infrared ray sensor was used to perceive movement under dark environment. And, LED lamp with good efficiency and less power consumption was used to increase efficiency. Citizens were interested in perception of the movement to distinguish from conventional type of the lamps.

  • We use three sensors such as a vision sensor, a proximity sensor, and a force/torque sensor fused by fuzzy logic in a peg-in-hole task. The vision and proximity sensors are usually used for gross motion control and the information is used here to position the peg around the hole. The force/torque sensor is used for fine motion control and the information is used to insert the peg into the hole precisely. Throughout the task, the information of all the three sensors is fused by a fuzzy logic controller. Some simulation results are also presented for verification.
