Path Tracking Motion Control using Fuzzy Inference for a Parking-Assist System (퍼지 추론을 이용한 주차지원 시스템의 경로추종 운동제어)

  • A parking-assist system is defined that a driver adjusts vehicle velocity through brake pedal operation and parking-assist system controls the motion of the vehicle to follow a collision-free path. In this study, a motion control algorithm using Fuzzy inference is proposed to track a maneuvering clothoid parallel path. Simulations are performed under SIMULINK environments using MATLAB and CarSim for a vehicle model. As the vehicle model in MATLAB a bicycle model is used including lateral dynamics. The simulation results show that the path tracking performance is satisfactory under various driving and initial conditions.

  • Most motion control systems consist of a desired trajectory generator, a motion controller such as a conventional PID controller, and a plant to be controlled. The desired trajectory generator as well as the motion controller is very important to achieve a good tracking performance. Especially, if the desired trajectory is generated actively utilizing the maximum velocity, acceleration, jerk and snap as given system specifications, the tracking performance would be better. For this, we make use of the properties of convolution operator in order to generate a smooth (S-curve) trajectory satisfying the system specifications. Also, the proposed trajectory generation method is extended to more general cases with arbitrary initial and terminal conditions. In addition, the suggested trajectory generator can be easily realized for real-time implementation. Finally, the effectiveness of the suggested method is shown through numerical simulations.

  • Finding sufficient supplies of clean energy for future is one of the society's most important challenges according to technologies. Alternative renewable energy source such as sun energy can be substituted for exceeding human energy need. The main factor affect to solar performance is a collective intensity. To enhance intensity, suitable equipment is a solar tracker. This paper presents design and evaluation of 1 layer polar motion control system for solar tracker suitable for building integrated system. To evaluation of tracking accuracy and adaptability, solar tracker with 64 links is implemented. In experimental results, the accuracy of tracking has under ${\pm}0.0287^{\circ}$ and the thickness has under 140mm.

  • This paper presents an implementation of high-dynamic performance of position sensorless motion control system of Reluctance Synchronous Motor(RSM) drives for an industrial servo system with direct torque control(DTC). The problems of high-dynamic performance and maximum efficiency RSM drives controlled by DTC are saturation of stator linkage flux and nonlinear inductance characteristics with various load currents. The accurate estimation of the stator flux and torque are obtained using stator flux observer of which a saturated inductance $L_d$ and $L_q$ can be compensated by adapting from measurable the modulus of the stator current and rotor position. To obtain fast torque response and maximum torque/current with varying load current, the reference command flux is ensured by imposing $I_{ds} = I_{qs}$. This control strategy is proposed to achieve fast response and optimal efficiency for RSM drive. In order to prove rightness of the suggested control algorithm, the actual experiment carried out at $\pm$20 and $\pm$1500 rpm. The developed digitally high-performance motion control system shown good response characteristic of control results and high performance features using 1.0kW RSM which has 2.57 Ld/Lq salient ratio.

  • In this paper, we propose a motion control scheme of robot manipulators based on visual feedback under camera-in-hand configuration. The desired joint velocity and acceleration for motion control is made by the feature-based visual data in the outer loop. The control input for tracking feature points on the image plane uses robot kinematics dynamic. The proposed control input consists of the image feature and the joint velocity error to achieve robustness to the parametric uncertainty. The stability of the closed-loop system is proved by Lyapunov approach. Computer simulations and experiments on a two degree of freedom manipulator with 5 links are presented to illustrate the performance of proposed control system.

  • The study of input and output characteristics in dynamic motion control is important indicator of the performance of mechanical equipment and is the factors to be considered during commissioning and maintenance of machinery or equipment, and project planning. The Analysis on dynamical characteristic of the input/output of the automation solution that used for motion control in machinery, is represented the control performance of device and including controller which connected at automation network by considering period of the frequency as applied load. This paper was constructed the simulator of B & R Powerlink to be widely used for motion control in the machine and showed the dynamic system characteristics by analysing the period.

  • A vehicle driving simulator is a virtual reality device which makes a human being feel as if the one drives a vehicle actually. The driving simulator is effectively used for studying interaction of a driver-vehicle and developing the vehicle system of new concepts. The driving simulator consists of a motion platform, a motion controller, a visual and audio system, a vehicle dynamic analysis system, a vehicle operation system and etc. The vehicle dynamic analysis system supervises overall operation of the simulator and also simulates dynamic motion of a multi-body vehicle model in real-time.   • In this study, an OTM(on-the-move) antenna which is mounted on ground vehicles and is used for mobile communication between vehicle and satellite while moving was addressed. Since LOS(line-of-sight) of antenna should direct satellite consistently while vehicle moving to guarantee high satellite communication quality, active antenna LOS stabilization is a core technology for OTM antenna. Stabilization of a satellite tracking antenna which consists of 2-DOF gimbals, an elevation gimbal over an azimuth gimbal, was considered in this study. In consideration of driving mechanism which consists of gear train and flexible driving shafts, a two-mass-system dynamic model coupled with vehicle motion was presented. An internal PI-control loop + outer PI-control loop structure has been suggested in order to damp the torsional vibration and stabilize control system. The classical pole-placement method was applied to design control gains. In addition, a vehicle motion compensation control beside of the feedback control loop has been suggested to improve LOS stabilization performances. The feasibility of the proposed control design was verified along with some experimental results.

  • In this paper, a motion control algorithm is proposed by using neural network system, which makes a robot arm successfully avoid unexpected obstacle when the robot is moving from the start to the goal position. During the motion, if there is an obstacle the vision system recognizes it. And in every time the optimization-algorithm quickly chooses a motion among the possible motions of robot. The proposed algorithm has a good avoidance characteristic in simulation.
