  • We give an explicit construction of Grobner-Shirshov pairs and monomial bases for finite-dimensional irreducible representations of the simple Lie algebra $sp_4$. We also identify the monomial basis consisting of the reduced monomials with a set of semistandard tableaux of a given shape, on which we give a colored oriented graph structure.

  • In this paper, we develop the Grobner-Shirshov basis theory for the representations of associative algebras by introducing the notion of Grobner-Shirshov pairs. Our result can be applied to solve the reduction problem in representation theory and to construct monomial bases of representations of associative algebras. As an illustration, we give an explicit construction of Grobner-Shirshov pairs and monomial bases for finite dimensional irreducible representations of the simple tie algebra sl$_3$. Each of these monomial bases is in 1-1 correspondence with the set of semistandard Young tableaux with a given shape.

  • It is well-known that if char𝕜 = 0, then an Artinian monomial complete intersection quotient 𝕜[x1, …, xn]/(x1a1, …, xnan) has the strong Lefschetz property in the narrow sense, and it is decomposed by the direct sum of irreducible 𝖘𝖑2-modules. For an Artinian ring A = 𝕜[x1, x2, x3]/(x16, x26, x36), by the Schur-Weyl duality theorem, there exist 56 trivial representations, 70 standard representations, and 20 sign representations inside A. In this paper we find an explicit basis for A, which is compatible with the S3-module structure.

  • Various interpolation methods have been compared for reconstruction of LMR pin power distributions in hexagonal geometry. Interpolation functions are derived for several combinations of nodal quantities and various sets of basis functions, and tested against fine mesh calculations. The test results indicate that the interpolation functions based on the sixth degree polynomial are quite accurate, yielding maximum interpolation errors in power densities less than 0.5%, and maximum reconstruction errors less than 2% for driver assemblies and less than 4% for blanket assemblies. The main contribution to the total reconstruction error is made tv the nodal solution errors and the comer point flux errors. For the polynomial interpolations, the basis monomial set needs to be selected such that the highest powers of x and y are as close as possible. It is also found that polynomials higher than the seventh degree are not adequate because of the oscillatory behavior.
