  • Recently according to the development of an information society the information technology equipments which a clock frequency has the facility over a number giga hertz have been developed much. And we have research which leakage electromagnetic signals can use at the communication security and tapping. In this paper, we restored leakage electromagnetic signals of the monitors. And we proposed efficient recovery technique to restore the screen of the monitor. First of all, we understand a screen characteristic of the monitor. And then we restored a monitor screen from leakage electromagnetic signals from the monitor. For also we tried to use a Wavelet transform and filters to remove the noise for better performance. In the result of the experiment, we used leakage electromagnetic signals and confirmed the possibility of a monitor screen of the recovery. And we improve the performance with Wavelet transform and filters.

  • Practical devices for measuring personal exposure to nitrogen dioxide(NO$_2$) have been made for epidemiological studies of the health effects of air pollution Standard methods for NO$_2$ measurement such as the chemiluminescent method and Saltzman method are not suitable for personal exposure because they are heavy, large and complicated to operate. In this study, a passive monitor was tested for the measurements of indoor and outdoor NO$_2$ level. Through a comparative analysis of data sets obtained by on-site chemiluminescence system, we assessed the accuracy and precision of NO$_2$ passive monitors. We also examined the possibility of passive monitor in the study of indoor, outdoor and personal NO$_2$ exposure. The accuracy and precision of NO$_2$ passive monitor were analyzed assuming measurements of on-site chemiluminescence system is reference value and using duplicated measure- ments, respectively. From these analysis the NO$_2$ passive monitor was useful for measuring indoor, outdoor and personal exposure. And NO$_2$ level from on-site chemiluminescence systems could not properly represent the personal NO$_2$ exposure as well as indoor and outdoor level of ones house. Personal exposures were correlated more strongly with indoor NO$_2$ concentrations than with outdoor NO$_2$ concentrations. Since activity pattern of each person is different, it was considered that personal daily behavior and life-style might prevent the air pollutant exposure.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the calculation model of CCTV monitor size for school. Literature review analyzed the concept and technical characteristics of CCTV system including equation of object size calculation. Case study showed that the sizes of CCTV monitors installed in the security offices of the six object schools were 19 inches on average. And the numbers of monitor screen partitions were at least 12 on average. Due to too many partitions in small monitors of approximately 19 inches, the faces of the objects of filming in each screen could not be properly identified. Experimental test presented that the vertical length of face image clearly recognized on the screen is at least 20mm. Based on the result, this paper developed the equation for calculating monitor size. Pilot test said that 27inch Monitor is needed for 4 screens. The practitioners of school districts and schools can make appropriate CCTV system environments considering the their own CCTV system conditions.

  • Race conditions in current Java programs must be detected because it may cause unexpected result by non-deterministic executions. For detecting such races during program execution, execution flows of all threads and all access events can be monitored. It is difficult for previous race detection techniques to monitor all threads and access events in actuality because these techniques analyze the files traced during program execution or modify original source programs and then monitor these programs. This paper presents a transparent scalable monitoring tool to detect races using JDI(Java Debug Interface) where JDI is 100% pure java interface to provide in JDPA(Java Platform Debugger Architecture) and is able to provide information corresponding to events occurred in run-time of programs. This tool thus can monitor execution flows of all threads and all access events without program modification. We prove transparency of the presented tool and grasp the efficiency of it using a set of published benchmark programs. As a result of this, the suggested tool can monitor all threads and accesses of these programs without their modification, and their monitoring time is increased to more than 20 times.

  • The Color Management System in recent printers adopts ICC profiles for both monitors and printers. However, the ICC profile doesn't contain the characteristics of reproduced color on each monitor, because the color on each monitor is changed by user adjustment such as color temperature, brightness, and contrast adjustment. It is also depended on the backlight type and lifetime. As a result, unwanted color is reproduced on the printed paper, not like that on the monitor. To overcome the color difference between monitors and printers, it is needed to control the information of ICC profile. That is, first, the ICC profile is generated by the measurement of monitors having user set, then, through the CMS, the color on monitors can be produced on printed paper. However, it is difficult to apply the above system for normal users due to absence of measuring equipment and time consuming process. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel color matching technique based on the estimation of condition for each monitor having user set. The estimation is performed by a simple comparison visual test using a test image on printed paper and monitor. Then, the condition of monitor is applied to the ICC profile. As a result, the new ICC profile contains the color difference between user monitor and printer. The experimental results show the printed images using our proposed method have almost similar color with those on monitors.

  • Volatile organic compounds(VOCs) emitted from PC/Monitor set and chemical parts com-prising of PC/Monitor set were analyzed aran, and xylene of VOCs based on qualitative analysis. As a result of these analyses, when the Wedge Rub-ber of rubber product was heated from 60$^{\circ}C$ to 80$^{\circ}C$, the emission rate(%) of xylene was increased about 2.5 times. But it was evaluated that the left of chemical parts were not affected by temperature except Wedge Rub-ber. The results of qualitative analyses between RGA and GC-MS were a little different respectively. With quantitative analysis, concentration of xylene emitted from cabinet was measured to be maximum as 6029.3 ug/ m$^3$(1.3ppm). The concentrations of toluene, xylene, and benzofuran derived from PC/Monitor set were 10.25${\mu}g/m^3$, 690${\mu}g/m^3$, and 180 ${\mu}g/m^3$, and these concentrations were relatively high levels which can bring on the risk to human health.

  • Dynamic Compressors in vocal recordings of modern pop music are essential equipment. Dynamic compressors are applied not only to the mix for listening to music but also to the monitor for the singer to listen to his voice along with the accompaniment while the singer is recording. This study is an experimental study on the effects of a dynamic compressor applied to a monitor environment on the vocal performance of a singer. 10 participating singers participated in the blind test to test how the vocals heard through the monitor would be affected by the 1:1, 2:1 and 4:1 compression ratio. Experimental results show that the higher the compression ratio applied to the monitor, the bigger the song, the brighter the tone, but the pitch becomes finer inaccuracy on the bigger dynamic part of the song. In post-interviews with blinds, it was found that singers generally preferred to hear compressed sound through a compressor on the monitor. Since the music used in the experiment was a ballad with a wide dynamic range, it could not be generalized to all kind of music recordings, but it could provide important implications for the monitoring of recording sites. In addition, We hope that the cognitive science approach to recording technology will be added based on this paper which has been studied through empirical studies on the effect of the monitor environment on the singing voice.
