  • Worldwide trend of waste treatment technology is rapidly transferring from "incineration system" to "gasification & melting system" which can derive the resources from waste and charge no more environmental burden to nature. And therefore it is necessary for our country to adopt gasification & melting system urgently to present the land pollution and lack of landfill area. Among several gasification and melting processes Daewoo-Thermoselect gasification and melting system is the representative process which can transfer waste to resources such as sin-gas, molten slag, metal hydroxide, mixed salt and sulfur through the process of compaction, degasification, gasification and melting.

  • In Sr-ferrite system, it has been attempted to inhibit the abnormal grian growth using Sr-ferrite powders synthesized by molten salt method as the matrix and the seeds, respectively. At each sintering temperature, the addition of seed more than 15% suppressed the abnormal grain growth, and the uniform microstructure resulted. Particularly, at 12$25^{\circ}C$, it was observed that the maximum number of the abnormal grain growth nuclei was achieved since the abnormal grain growth was suppressed even by the addition of 10% seed.

  • In this study, 1-3 type composite specimens were fabricated with PZT powders prepared by the molten-salt synthesis method and Eccogel polymer matrix. A virtual level-meter was fabricated with a 1-3 type composite probe and electronic unit for underwater application. There was no difference in values between a virtual and measured level on its level meter.

  • 수산화인회석(Hydroxyapatite)는 뼈와 이빨의 무기물 주성분으로서, 칼슘과 인산염으로 구성된다. 우리는 수산화인회석의 합성에 용융열 합성법(molten salt method), 수열 합성법(hydrothermal method), 용매열 합성법(solvothermal method)을 사용하였으며, pH 조절과 각기 다른 용매를 사용하여 다양한 형태의 수산화인회석을 합성하였다. TEM과 SEM을 이용하여 크기와 모양이 제어된 수산화인회석임을 확인할 수 있었다. 합성된 수산화인회석을 이용하여, 전이금속 Ruthenium cation을 Hydroxyapatite 표면에 ion-exchange 반응을 통하여 도입하였으며, ICP를 통하여 Ru 함양을 정량하였다. 합성된 Ruthenium Hydroxyapatite (Ru-HAP)를 이용하여 dimethylamine borane를 통한 수소 발생을 확인하였다.
