  • This paper shows the GUI-sharing mechanism based on GDI hooking that can be useful for group users to ,share application programs dedicated to specific systems in distributed environments. In order to implement a networked-group working for real-time bases, an application-sharing mechanism should be necessary. This paper presents the implementation issues of application-sharing mechanism and provides a way of group working by implementation of GDI hooking module using GDI library in Windows 95 environment.

  • In this paper, we introduce some issues to implement an agent system to support service mobility in home network environment, and describe detailed design method in terminal as well as server agent. Specifically, we describe user recognition module, signaling message receiving/parsing module of terminal agent and signaling message receiving/parsing module, multimedia switching module, memory management module of server agent. We define several parameters managed in IP sharing device and design binding table structure to support mobility. And we utilize M/M/1/K queueing theory to obtain relations between memory size, blocking probability and memory utilization. From the obtained results, we show that memory size can be predicted in server agent mounted on IP sharing device.

  • A general purpose language is defined and a computer architecture suitable for this language is proposed. The proposed architecture utilities the microprogramming technique. The significant features of the proposed architecture are the reduction of the overhead in micro-module swapping and graceful degradation of the execution upon detection of the micro.module fault in the time-sharing environment.

  • In this paper, a simple digital control scheme for the single/parallel module buck converters is proposed using a digital state feedback control method. The discrete state feedback controller structure for the robust tracking control is derived by using the error state. The proposed control system can precisely achieve the interleaved current sharing and the output regulation, and can achieve the systematical controller design for a given converter specification using the pole placement technique. For a design example, the single module buck converter is simulated using the MATLAB Simulink software and two 100W parallel module buck converters with a TMS320F2812 DSP is implemented.

  • This paper proposes parallel operation method of single phase UPS module considering the battery SOC. A master module performs output voltage control and current sharing algorithm considering battery SOC of each UPS modules. The slave modules control output current by current reference from master module. The applied parallel operation method is verified by the PSIM simulation.

  • This paper applies a structural technique with uniform parallel switch characteristics in gates and power loops to minimize the ringing and current imbalance that occurs when a general discrete package (TO-247)-based power semiconductor device is operated in parallel. Also, this propose a heat sink integrated switching module with heat sink design flexibility and high power density. The developed heat dissipation-integrated switching module verifies the symmetry of the parasitic inductance of the parallel switch through Q3D by ansys and the validity of the structural technique of the parallel switch using the LLC resonant converter experiment operating at a rated capacity of 7.5 kW.

  • A 6.5 V/50 kA high-frequency switching power supply (HSPS) system composed of 10 power modules is developed to meet the requirements of copper-foil electrolysis. The power module is composed of a two-leg pulse width modulation (PWM) rectifier and a DC/DC converter. The DC/DC converter adopts two full-wave rectifiers in parallel to enhance the output. For the two-leg PWM rectifier, the ripple of the DC-link voltage is derived. A composite control method with a ripple filter is then proposed to effectively improve the performance of the rectifier. To meet the process demand of copper-foil electrolysis, the virtual impedance-based current-sharing control method with load current full feedforward is proposed for n-parallel DC/DC converters. The roles of load current feedforward and virtual impedance are analyzed, and the current-sharing control model of the HSPS system is derived. Virtual impedance is used to adjust the current-sharing impedance without changing the equivalent output impedance, which can effectively reduce current-sharing errors. Finally, simulation and experimental results verify the structure and control method.

  • Current sharing between modules in a converter parallel operation is very important for the reliability of the system. This paper proposes an improved droop method that can effectively improve current sharing accuracy. The proposed method adaptively adjusts the output voltage set-point of each module according to the current set-points. Unlike conventional droop control, modules share a signal line to communicate with each other. Nevertheless, since signals are simple and in digital form, the complexity of the circuitry is much less and noise immunity is much better than those of conventional methods utilizing communication. The operation principle and design procedure of the proposed method are described in detail. Results of the experiment on two boost converters operating in parallel under the specification of a TFT LCD TV panel power supply verify the validity of the proposed scheme.

  • This paper describes characteristics of independent load sharing of parallel UPS systems and proposes a method of control which does not require control interconnections at each UPS system and compensates for line impedance. Simulation results of a two-module UPS system with different power latins and line impedance have demonstrated the feasibility of the proposed control scheme in load sharing.
