  • Binary Edwards curves (BEdC), a new form of elliptic curves proposed by Bernstein, satisfy the complete addition law without exceptions. This paper describes an efficient hardware implementation of point scalar multiplication on BEdC using projective coordinates. Modified Montgomery ladder algorithm was adopted for point scalar multiplication, and binary field arithmetic operations were implemented using 257-bit binary adder, 257-bit binary squarer, and 32-bit binary multiplier. The hardware operation of the BEdC crypto-core was verified using Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC device. It takes 521,535 clock cycles to compute point scalar multiplication.

  • The present paper is focused on the study of the propagation of plane waves in thermoelastic media under a modified Green-Lindsay (MG-L) model having the influence of non-local and two temperature. The problem is formulated for the considered model in dimensionless form and is explained by using the reflection phenomenon. The plane wave solution of these equations indicates the existence of three waves namely Longitudinal waves (LD-Wave), Thermal waves (T-wave), and Shear waves (SV-wave) from a stress-free surface. The variation of amplitude ratios is computed analytically and depicted graphically against the angle of incidence to elaborate the impact of non-local, two temperature, and different theories of thermoelasticity. Some particular cases of interest are also deduced from the present investigation. The present study finds applications in a wide range of problems in engineering and sciences, control theory, vibration mechanics, and continuum mechanics.

  • SiO2-coated magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4@SiO2 NPs) were modified by 3-nitrobenzelidenmalononitrile and used as green linkages for removal of Hg2+ form the wastewater. In this research, it has been attempted to refer to the harmful effects of mercury ions for living things and how to remove such ions using very easy and practical technique. This study shows that by optimizing the test conditions, the efficiency of the removal of harmful ions such as mercury from the water contaminated with these ions can be increased. Conditions such as temperature, speed of agitation, pH of solution were tested for removal of mercury ions. The advantages of this method over other methods listed in the article are the rapid and easy nanocry synthesis. The generated and modified Fe3O4@SiO2 nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffraction, fourier transform infrared and scanning electron microscopy spectroscopy. The results show that the synthesized magnetic nanoparticles have the excellent performance for the removal of mercury(II) ion from the waste water.

  • To improve the accuracy of time-frequency analysis (TFA) and instantaneous frequency (IF) extraction of structural dynamic response signals, this paper improves the spline-kernelled chirplet transform, and a new form of modified spline-kernelled chirplet transform (MSCT) based on revised Gaussian window function and energy concentration principle is put forward. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by numerical examples of single-component signal, multicomponent signal, single-degree-of-freedom Duffing nonlinear system and two-layer shear frame structure model. Then, a time-varying cable test is designed to collect the acceleration response signals under linear changing tension, and the IF extraction of these signals is performed by using MSCT, which further verifies the effectiveness and accuracy of this method. Through numerical simulation and experimental verification, it is proved that the proposed method can effectively extract the IF of nonlinear structure and time-varying structure.

  • In this paper damage propagation of a material during forming is investigated with the concept of continuum damage mechanics. An isotropic damage model based on the theory of materials of type N is adopted to describe the damage process of a ductile material with large elasto-viscoplastic deformation. The stiffness degradation of the loaded material is chosen as a damage measure. The highly nonlinear equilibrium equations are reduced to the incremental weak form and approximated by the total Lagrangian finite element method. To simulate contact condition, extended interior penalty method with modified coulomb friction law is adopted. The displacement control method along with the modified Riks' continuation technique is used to solve the incremental iterative equations. As numerical examples, upsetting problem and backward extrusion problem are simulated and the results of damage propagation and $J_2$ stress contours with and without friction are presented.

  • A micros-strip ring patch antenna with ultra wide band characteristics is presented. The proposed antenna is designed by a modified form of the annular ring patch antenna with modified microstrip feedline. The designed antenna gives 5.6GHz bandwidth with regular radiation pattern from 4.4GHz to 12.0GHz for -10dE return loss or VSWR of less than 2.0 in simulation, which is also excellently agreed with the measured data.

  • This paper describes to observe the combustion process of only one droplet cluster. In this study, liquid fuel was atomized by ultrasonic wave to form an acoustically levitated droplet cluster. In order to elucidate the detailed structure of burning process of the droplet cluster, laser tomography method was applied. Time-series planar images of fuel droplets were processed and diameter of the each droplet was calculated based on the Mie-scattering theory. Using these data, the modified droplet group combustion number was estimated in time-series. As the result, when the internal droplet group combustion occur, the modified group combustion number dose not decrease monotonically, but show a tow-staged decreasing process. In all case of combustion process, combustion reactions were measured two types that combustion speed was fast and slow. It was casued by difference of concentration degree and droplet size distribution.

  • Ethernet ring protection is a new technology introduced in ITU-T Recommendation G.8032, which utilizes the generic Ethernet MAC functions. We introduce an alternative enhanced protection switching scheme to suppress penalty in the switching transient, in which the Ethernet MAC filtering database (FDB) is actively and directly modified by information disseminated from the nodes adjacent to failure. The modified FDB at all nodes are guaranteed to be consistent to form a complete new ring network topology immediately. This scheme can reduce the capacity requirement of the G.8032 by several times. This proposed scheme can be also applied in IP protection rings.

  • In order to impart dyeability on to Polypropylene fiber, PP/EVA blend in the form of fibers and film were preparared using melt blending process. Ethylene vinylacetate containing 28wt% of vinylacetate(EVA(28)) was used as a copolymer. In the study of mechanical properties, tenacity and initial modulus decreased with Increasing EVA concentrations, whilst extension at break increased with increasing EVA contents. Their results in the dyeing behavior show that dye adsorption increased with increased EVA contents iota both blend fibers and films. The extent of dye uptake of red dye to modified polypropylene fibers was greater than that of Blue and Yellow counterparts due to the difference behavior of dye particles in dyeing bath.
