Automatic Control System for the Stringing Transmission Wire by the Measured Tension (장력측정에 의한 가설 송전선의 시스템 자동화)

  • As transmission line is installed by manual operation, it is necessary to scheme the automatic system for stringing transmission wire. For this necessity, the objective of this paper is developed automatic control system for a stringing of transmission wire. In this paper, transmission wire with suspended pattern and ac servo motor for torque generating are modeled. On the basis of wire model, algorithms to determine the reference tension is presented, so as the dip of transmission wire is keep constancy. The control scheme is proposed by the ac servo motor for torque generation and a load cell for a detected tension of transmission wire and implemented. We experimentally show that the performance of the tension response is satisfactory. And also proposed scheme verified the utilities for tension control of transmission wire.

  • The field oriented control of induction motors is widely used in high performance applications. However, detuning caused by parameter disturbance still limits the performance of these drives. In order to accomplish variable speed operation, conventional PI-like controllers are commonly used. These controllers provide limited good Performance over a wide range of operation, even under ideal field oriented conditions. This paper is proposed model reference adaptive fuzzy control(MFC) and artificial neural network(ANN) based on the vector controlled induction motor drive system. Also, this paper is proposed control of speed and current using fuzzy adaption mechanism(FAM), MFC and estimation of speed using ANN. The proposed control algorithm is applied to induction motor drive system using FAM, MFC and ANN controller. Also, this paper is proposed the analysis results to verify the effectiveness of this controller.

  • In the field of industrial drives, the vector control of the induction motor has been widely used to achieve the good control performance. In this paper, to require the information of rotor flux in direct vector control scheme, the flux observer by current model of rotor circuit is used. This flux observer is not only available at low-speed region bt good for the error reduction by feedback properties. Also, employing the flux observer on rotor reference frame, the robustness of decoupling control to the observation of rotor flux can be achieved. Through digital simulation and DSP-based IGBT inverter system, the validity for practical implementation is verified.

  • This paper presents a modified track guidance algorithm for formation flight of multiple UAVs. The suggested guidance algorithm is the spatial version of the first order dynamic characteristics for a time-dependent system so the algorithm is able to generate a path without overshoot to track the desired line. A crucial design parameter is a spatial constant that controls the shape of the convergence to an assigned flight path similarly to a time constant. Reference flight trajectories are designed based on a two-dimensional vehicle model, and the performance of the proposed guidance law is verified by numerical simulation using rigid body UAV dynamics with MATLAB/Simulink Aerosim Blockset.

  • This paper is proposed to position and speed control of surface permanent magnet synchronous motor(SPMSM) drive without mechanical sensor. A adaptive state observer is used for the mechanical state estimation of the motor. The observer was developed based on nonlinear model of SPMSM, that employs a d-q rotating reference frame attached to the rotor. A adaptive observer is implemented to compute the speed and position feedback signal. The validity of the proposed sensorless scheme is confirmed by various response characteristics.

  • Battery Disconnecting System (BDS) is the important equipment in electric vehicle system. Therefore, most of electric vehicle companies, i.e. Hyundai Motors, Renault Motors, General Motors, want to have the reliability of 15 years - 150, 000 miles. Recently, reliability prediction through Siemens Norm SN 29500 is considered without testing. In this paper, we will introduce the standard and various input parameters. Also the case study will be shown for BDS. Prediction model is constructed by listing all the components of BDS. It calculates the $\pi$ factors for each components using the conversion equation in the standard and converts the reference failure rates to the expected operating failure rates. According to the result, the parts which will be improved are EV-Relays.

  • In this paper, we present a method of fuzzy controller design for the power plant superheater in the form of bilinear system. For the steam temperature control, the input variables are constructed by the area of difference between the profiles estimated from bilinear observer and reference profiles, and the time rate of change. We estimate the control rules by T. Takagi and M. Sugeno's fuzzy model. The feasibilities of the suggested method are illustrated via the computer simulation result.

  • Speed and torque controls of induction motors are usually attained by the application of position and speed sensors. However, speed and position sensors require the additional mounting space, reduce the reliability in harsh environments and increase the cost of a motor. Therefore, many studies have been performed for the elimination of speed and position sensors. This paper investigates an improved sensorless control of an induction motor. The proposed control strategy utilizes the MRAS(Model Reference Adaptive System) for estimating the speed of a sensorless induction motor. The proposed algorithm is verified through the simulation and experimentation.

  • In this paper, the effective design method of the predictive controller using fuzzy neural networks(FNNs) is presented for the Intelligent control of chaotic nonlinear systems. In our design method of controller, predictor parameters are tuned by the error value between the actual output of a chaotic nonlinear system and that of a fuzzy neural network model. And the parameters of predictive controller using fuzzy neural network are tuned by the gradient descent method which uses control error value between the actual output of a chaotic nonlinear system and the reference signal. In order to evaluate the performance of our controller, it is applied to the Duffing system which are the representative continuous-time chaotic nonlinear systems and the Henon system which are representative discrete-time chaotic nonlinear systems.

  • The Media Access Control(MAC) Technologies in IEEE 802 Local Area Network(LAN) reference model include CSMA/CD, Token Ring and Token Bus methodes. The channel throughput of LAN can be affected by some parameters such as channel length, transmission rate and packet size, and station numbers. In this paper, the effect of these parameters to channel throughput are analyzed by normalized parameters. And the token ring and token bus method are analyzed by using the normalized parameter, and relatinonship bwtween channel thorughput and parameters is discussed. Finally, results are compared.
