Effect of Cadmium on Phospholipied Metabolism in Nervous System (카드뮴이 신겨중 인지질 대사에 미치는 영향)

  • The effect of acute cadmium-neuropathy on phospholipid metabolism in rat sciatic nerve was investigated. An animal model of cadmium neuropathy was induced by feeding diet containing cadmium to Sprague-Dawley rat for two weeks. Four weeks aged Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into four groups : normal control group, 10ppm-cadmium treated group, 100ppm-cadmium treated group, 1000ppm-cadmium treated group, reference drug, myo-inositol-treated group. All rats were sacrificed at the end of two weeks. The rate of incorporation of 2-[3H]myo-inositol into polyphosphinositide was significantly decreased while the rates of incorporation into phospholipid of titratedserine, ethanolamine and choline were unchanged in sciatic nerve obtained from cadmium-treated rat. Continuously the activities of three enzymes concerned with inositol phospholiped metabolism were measured in homogenates of rat sciatic nerves. Cystidine diglyceride transferase and phophatidylinositol kinase showed significantly decreased activities while phosphatidylinositol-4-phosphate kinase did not show any significant change in activity by cadmium treatment. However these deficits of inositol phospholipid metabolism were ameliorated by myo-inositol administration and these effectiveness were more potent in lower dose cadmiumtreated rats than higher dose cadmium-treated rats. These results suggest that cadmium intoxicated peripheral nerve with perturbation of the ployphosphoinositide metabolism and alteration of the enzyme activity which concerned with myo-inositol metabolism.

Quantization and Calibration of Color Information From Machine Vision System for Beef Color Grading (소고기 육색 등급 자동 판정을 위한 기계시각 시스템의 칼라 보정 및 정량화)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate beef using a color machine vision system. The machine vision system has an advantage to measure larger area than a colorimeter and also could measure other quality factors like distribution of fats. However, the machine vision measurement is affected by system components. To measure the beef color with the machine vision system, the effect of color balancing control was tested and calibration model was developed. Neural network for color calibration which learned reference color patches showed a high correlation with colorimeter in L*a*b* coordinates and had an adaptability at various measurement environments. The trained network showed a very high correlation with the colorimeter when measuring beef color.

A Path Navigation Algorithm for an Autonomous Robot Vehicle by Sensor Scanning (센서 스캐닝에 의한 자율주행로봇의 경로주행 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, a path navigation algorithm through use of a sensor platform is proposed. The sensor platform is composed of two electric motors which make panning and tilting motions. An algorithm for computing a real path and an obstacle length is developed by using a scanning method that controls rotation of the sensors on the platform. An Autonomous Robot Vehicle(ARV) can perceive the given path by adapting this algorithm. A sensor scanning method is applied to the sensor platform for using small numbers of sensor. The path navigation algorithm is composed of two parts. One is to perceive a path pattern, the other is used to avoid an obstacle. An optimal controller is designed for tracking the reference path which is generated by perceiving the path pattern. The ARV is operated using the optimal controller and the path navigation algorithm. Based on the results of actual experiments, this algorithm for an ARV proved sufficient for path navigation by small number of sensors and for a low cost controller by using the sensor platform with a scanning method.

  • This paper is proposed an adaptive fuzzy controller of induction motor drive. The adaptive fuzzy controller approach for an estimate of the rotor time constant which is used to adjust the estimate of the slip angular speed. An estimate of the rotor time constant was obtained using an model reference adaptive system(MRAS) in a fuzzy control scheme. The rotor time constant was estimated by utilizing the rotor nut estimates. This paper is proposed the theoretical analysis as well as the simulation results to verify the effectiveness of the new method.

  • Airborne imagery must be precisely orthorectified to be used as geographical information data. GPS/INS (Global Positioning System/Inertial Navigation System) and LIDAR (LIght Detection And Ranging) data were employed to automatically orthorectify airborne images. In this study, 154 frame airborne images and LIDAR vector data were acquired. LIDAR vector data were converted to raster image for employing as reference data. To derive images with constant brightness, flat field correction was applied to the whole images. The airborne images were geometrically corrected by calculating internal orientation and external orientation using GPS/INS data and then orthorectified using LIDAR digital elevation model image. The precision of orthorectified images was validated using 50 ground control points collected in arbitrary selected five images and LIDAR intensity image. In validation results, RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) was 0.365 smaller then two times of pixel spatial resolution at the surface. It is possible that the derived mosaicked airborne image by this automatic orthorectification method is employed as geographical information data.

Smooth Path Generation using Hexagonal Cell Representation (육각형 격자를 사용한 부드러운 경로생성)

  • This paper deals with smooth path generation using B-spline for fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles manuevering in 2D environment. Hexagonal cell representation is employed to model the 2D environment, which features increased connectivity among cells over square cell representation. Subsequently, hexagonal cell representation enables smoother path generation based on a discrete sequence of path from the path planner. In addition, we present an on-line path smoothing algorithm incorporating B-spline path templates. The path templates are computed off-line by taking into account all possible path sequences within finite horizon. During on-line implementation, the B-spline curves from the templates are stitched together repeatedly to come up with a reference trajectory for UAVs. This method is an effective way of generating smooth path with reduced on-line computation requirement, hence it can be implemented on a small low-cost autopilot that has limited computational resources.

  • Purpose : As the necessity of reinforcement of infections management in medical facilities after MERS increased, Ministry of Health and Welfare promulgated the enforcement regulations of medical law on February 3, 2017. Its main objective is to improve patients' safety and medical-care quality through the establishment of isolation facilities from infectious diseases and the set-up of standards for In-patient and ICU facilities. The purpose of this study is necessarily to propose a standardized spatial composition model for ward modules by analyzing changing environments of in-patient facilities according to the strengthened medical law. Method: Theoretical studies will be undergone of Evidence-based Designs to improve patients' safety, medical quality, and domestic/overseas in-patient room guidelines. With reference to the status of 24 general hospitals over 500 beds, the spatial compositions of the in-patient rooms and the types of multi/single bed room modules will be analyzed. The directions of future in-patient room module changes through the study of the minimum ward module types and various ward types will be presented. Result: This paper will hopefully provide guidelines for hospitalization rooms that can be applied to the revised rules of medical law enforcement and provide a basis for a comprehensive study of patients' safety and efficient infection control as well.

Design and Implementation of Seismic Data Acquisition System using MEMS Accelerometer (MEMS형 가속도 센서를 이용한 지진 데이터 취득 시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper, we design a seismic data acquisition system(SDAS) and implement it. This system is essential for development of a noble local earthquake disaster preventing system in population center. In the system, we choose a proper MEMS-type triaxial accelerometer as a sensor, and FPGA and ARM processor are used for implementing the system. In the SDAS, each module is realized by Verilog HDL and C Language. We carry out the ModelSim simulation to verify the performances of important modules. The simulation results show that the FPGA-based data acquisition module can guarantee an accurate time-synchronization for the measured data from each axis sensor. Moreover, the FPGA-ARM based embedded technology in system hardware design can reduce the system cost by the integration of data logger, communication sever, and facility control system. To evaluate the data acquisition performance of the SDAS, we perform experiments for real seismic signals with the exciter. Performances comparison between the acquired data of the SDAS and the reference sensor shows that the data acquisition performance of the SDAS is valid.

A Study on Organization of Service Function on the Integrated Management Platform of the u-City (u-City 통합운영플랫폼의 서비스 기능 구성에 관한 연구)

  • An Integrated Management Platform, which plays a core role in managing u-City, intelligently control various infra-structure components by accommodating a large number of sensors and devices; and analyzing data received from these sensors and devices through wired/wireless sensor networks. In this paper, the services provided by the integrated management platform for u-City are classified into common application service, operational management service, and platform gateway service, and furthermore detailed functions for each service are defined. These functions, through their roles and information flows, will clarify the requirements of the integrated management platform, and through their addition and modification will be utilized as a reference model for the functional organization of the integrated management platform.
