  • Let $H$ and $K$ be separable, complex Hilbert spaces and $L(H, K)$ denote the space of all linear, bounded operators from $H$ to $K$. If $H = K$, we write $L(H)$ in place of $L(H, K)$. An operator $T$ in $L(H)$ is called hyponormal if $TT^* \leq T^*T$, or equivalently, if $\left\$\mid$ T^*h \right\$\mid$ \leq \left\$\mid$ Th \right\$\mid$$ for each h in $H$. In [Pu], M. Putinar constructed a universal functional model for hyponormal operators.

On the Fitting ANOVA Models to Unbalanced Data

  • A direct method for fitting analysis-of-variance models to unbalanced data is presented. This method exploits sparsity and rank deficiency of the matrix and is based on Gram-Schmidt orthogonalization of a set of sparse columns of the model matrix. The computational algorithm of the sum of squares for testing estmable hyphotheses is given.

  • In this paper, we propose an extension of the maximum likelihood seasonal cointegration procedure developed by Johansen and Schaumburg (1999) for daily time series. We presented the finite sample distribution of the associated rank test statistics for daily data.

Asymptotic Relative Efficiency for New Scores in the Generalized F Distribution

  • In this paper we introduced a new score generating function for the rank dispersion function in a multiple linear model. Based on the new score function, we derived the asymptotic relative efficiency, ARE(11, rs), of our score function with respect to the Wilcoxon scores for the generalized F distributions which show very flexible distributions with a variety of shape and tail behaviors. We thoroughly explored the selection of r and s of our new score function that provides improvement over the Wilcoxon scores.

DEA모형에 의한 지역수협의 경영평가 (Management Evaluation on the Regional Fisheries Cooperatives using Data Envelopment Analysis Model)

  • This study is designed to measure the relative efficiency of regional fishery cooperatives based on Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) methods. Selecting 40 regional fishery cooperatives in Busan as Decision Making Units (DMUs), the study uses their panel data from 2007 to 2008 to rank the relative efficiency of the DMUs. First, the efficiency score of the DMUs are calculated using CCR, SBM, and super-SMB model. Within the model, input variables are the number of employees and area of fishery cooperatives. Output variables are the amount of deposit money, loan and profit. Based on the efficiency scores calculated from super-SMB model, the efficiency ranking of the DMUs is determined. Second, the differences in average efficiency calculated from the three DEA models are tested using a pair-wise mean comparison test. The results based on the efficiency scores evaluated from super-SMB model show that seven out of the forty DMUs are efficient; among the efficient DMUs, the DMUs that can be benchmarked for inefficient DMUs through the frequency analysis of reference set being identified. Third, the differences in average efficiency of the three DEA models between 2007 and 2008 are tested using pair-wise mean comparison test and the study estimates the efficiency change of the DMUs between 2007 and 2008 using Malmquist productivity index(MPI). Finally, the paper suggests an improved composite DMU superior to the inefficient DMUs evaluated by Super-SBM model.

  • 의약학 분야에서는 두 집단에서 하나의 반복요인을 가지는 반복측정 자료가 많이 사용된다. 이 논문에서는 반복측정된 자료에서 두 군의 시간에 따른 반응값의 선형추세를 비교하여 두 집단간의 차이를 검정하는 방법을 제안한다. 각 개체에서 회귀계수를 추정하고 추정된 회귀계수들에 의해 생성된 표본을 가지고 이표본 t검정(unpaired t-test), 윌콕슨 순위합 검정(Wilcoxon rank sum test), 위치검정(placement test)으로 두 집단간 기울기의 차이를 검정한다. 모의실험(Monte Carlo Simulation)을 통해 실험유의수준(experimental significance level)과 검정력 (power)을 비교하였다.

  • The conventional Boolean retrieval systems based on vector spae model can provide the results of retrieval fast, they can't reflect exactly user's retrieval purpose including semantic information. Consequently, the results of retrieval process are very different from those users expected. This fact forces users to waste much time for finding expected documents among retrieved documents. In his paper, we designed a bayesian SOM(Self-Organizing feature Maps) in combination with bayesian statistical method and Kohonen network as a kind of unsupervised learning, then perform classifying documents depending on the semantic similarity to user query in real time. If it is difficult to observe statistical characteristics as there are less than 30 documents for clustering, the number of documents must be increased to at least 50. Also, to give high rank to the documents which is most similar to user query semantically among generalized classifications for generalized clusters, we find the similarity by means of Kohonen centroid of each document classification and adjust the secondary rank depending on the similarity.

폐기물 소각시설 주변 환경보건평가 중 스크리닝 단계에서의 우선순위 선정기법에 관한 연구 (Simple priority setting method for Screening in public health assessment of waste incineration facilities)

  • Environmental and public health concern for the emission of air pollutants from burn-up process in waste incineration plants located in the vicinity of living environment was increased during the past decade. The purpose of this study was to suggest of the simple and rapid method of priority setting model for the decision of full-scale public health assessment. This method was consists of total 5-step. Step 1 was "secure the satellite map" and we can use the satellite map which serves from the website such as NAVER Co. Step 2 was "drawing mesh on the map" for catch the point of occupation of environmental sensitivity facilities, and step 3 was "identification and sorting of the facilities", Step 4 was "setting of weight" using the "weighted linear combination (WLC) method". Finally, all facility was sorted by score. As a result, we can set a priority of 145 facilities based on 177 facilities which managed in local government. Facilities in Seoul metropolitan area was high rank in priority list. On the other side, Facilities located at the country or rural area was low rank because of low occupation of the house and the environmental sensitivity facilities such as kindergarten, elementary school, and hospital. In this study, we suggested simple and rapid method that using for screening procedure of public health assessment.

중.고등학교 가정과 교육목표에 대한 필요평가 (Needs Assessment of the Purposes of Korean Secondary School Home Economics Education)

  • The objectives of this study were (1) to determine the rank of purposes of Korean secondary school home economics education related to three systems of action: technical, communicative, and emancipatory action by home economics(HE) teachers and HE teacher educators, (2) to compare differences between HE teachers and HE teacher educators concerning the degree of importance and achievement of the purposes of current Korean secondary school HE education. Respondents in this study were 225 HE teachers and 35 HE teacher educators. The survey method was used in this descriptive study. To determine the rank, Borich's needs assessment model was used. The data were analyzed by using t-test to compare the differences between the two groups. To promote a good life and the full development of human beings, to develop creative and critical thinking, to make morally defensible judgments, and to develop self-esteem were needed purposes for Korean secondary school HE education. Overall, the most high ranked purpose needs for both groups related to emancipatory action. The two groups were significantly different on the degree of the importance of evaluating family and social conditions, acquiring the skills needed as a wage earner and a homemaker, developing creative and critical thinking, and demonstrating proficiency of homemaking work. The teachers and teacher educator groups were significantly different on the degree of the achievement of making morally defensible judgments, understanding Korean traditional culture, and taking care of each other.

  • 본 연구를 통하여 순위를 이용한 선형회귀모형의 가정된 분포형태가 우리가 실질적으로 많이 접하게 되는 비대칭분포이면서 만일 가정된 분포가 오른쪽으로 늘어진 경우일 때에는, 본 논문에서 제안된 스코어의 가능한 한 0 보다 크고 1 보다 작은 r 및 1 보다 큰 s 를 선택 (0 〈 r 〈 1, s 〉 1) 하는 것이 윌콕슨 스코어보다 높은 효율성을 나타낸다. 이와 반대로 만일 가정된 비대칭분포가 왼쪽으로 늘어진 경우일 때에는, 제안된 스코어의 가능한 한 1 보다 큰 r 및 0 보다 크고 1 보다 작은 s 를 선택 (r 〉 1, 0 〈 s 〈 1) 하는 것이 윌콕슨 스코어보다 높은 효율성을 나타낸다. 아울러 바람직한 r 과 s 를 결정하기 위한 가정된 분포의 대칭성 검정기법도 제시한다.
