Shaking Table Test and Seismic Performance Evaluation of Shanghai Tower

  • Shanghai Tower is a super high-rise building of 632 m height with 'mega frame-core- outrigger truss' structure system. Due to the complexity and irregularity of structure, shaking table test was carried out to investigate its seismic performance. A 1/40 scaled test model was designed, built and tested on shaking table under earthquake of small, moderate and large levels. The experimental results showed that the structure can meet the requirements of Chinese codes and reach scheduled performance objectives. Elastic and plastic time-history analysis on the structure were carried out and the results were compared to experimental results. Based on the research results some suggestions were proposed to contribute favorable effect on the seismic capacity of the structure.

  • Since more than Building Decorative Floodlighting in an Architecture is used for improving image at city, the importance of an efficient Building Decorative Floodlighting in an Architecture can't be overemphasized. Millimeter-wave directional-antenna beamwidth effects on the ITU-R building entry loss (BEL) propagation model

  • Assuming omnidirectional antenna reception, the ITU-R recently developed a new propagation model on building entry loss (BEL) for 5G millimeter-wave frequency sharing and compatibility studies, which is a simplified outdoor-to-indoor path loss model. Considering the utilization of high-gain narrow-beamwidth beamforming, the omnidirectional-based ITU-R BEL model may not be appropriate to predict propagation characteristics for directional beamforming scenarios. This paper studies the effects of beamwidth on the ITU-R BEL model. This study is based on field measurements collected with four different beamwidth antennas: omnidirectional, 10° horn, 30° horn, and 60° horn. The measurement campaigns were conducted at two types of building sites: traditional and thermally efficient buildings. These sites, as well as the measurement scenarios, were carefully chosen to comply with the ITU-R BEL measurement guidelines and the ITU-R building types. We observed the importance of accurate beam alignment from the BEL variation range. We were able to quantify the beamwidth dependency by fitting to a model that is inversely proportional to the beamwidth.

  • An adjusted assessment model based on benefit-cost analysis (BCA) is proposed for evaluating the economic efficiency of automated construction technologies. In contrast to conventional BCA, the model does not compare monetary values, but the differences in benefits and costs between traditional and automated construction methods. To verify the usefulness of the model, it was applied to a real-scale building construction project that used a fully automated building construction system, and the face validity of the model was confirmed. The results indicate that the model can support decision makers in identifying valuable benefit factors and in assessing the cost effectiveness of the system.

  • 아파트 프로젝트는 사업성패에 영향을 미치는 요인은 매우 다양하다. 그러나 분양단가가 결정되고, 분양이 시작된 이후에는 사업에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 분양 후 1개월간의 초기분양률이다. 일반적으로 사업주체는 경제상황, 주택시장의 동향, 사업지 인근의 주택가격 등 다양한 자료에 의해 초기분양률을 예측한다. 그러나 이러한 요인들을 초기분양률과 연계하여 정량적으로 계산하는 것은 매우 어렵다. 따라서 본 연구는 실제 수행된 아파트 프로젝트의 분양결과 자료를 이용하여 초기분양률 예측 회귀모델을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구를 위해 기존 분양실적자료 수집, 영향요인들의 상관관계 분석, 초기분양률 예측 회귀모델 작성을 진행한다. 본 연구의 결과는 아파트 프로젝트의 사업성 분석 시 초기 분양률 예측을 위한 기초자료로 활용되며, 사업 리스크 모델 개발의 핵심 자료로 활용된다.

지하공동구의 CCTV 영상 기반 AI 연기 감지 모델 개발 (Development of AI Detection Model based on CCTV Image for Underground Utility Tunnel)

  • 연구목적: 본 논문은 지하공동구의 초기 화재 감지를 위해 CCTV를 활용한 AI 연기 객체 감지 모델을 개발하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법:비정형성이 높은 연기 객체의 감지 성능을 제고하기 위해 화재 감지에 특화된 딥러닝 객체 감지 모델을 지하공동구 연기 감지에 특화되도록 학습시켰고, 학습데이터셋의 정제 및 학습 중 Gradient explosion 완화 등 감지 성능 개선을 위한 방법들을 적용해 모델 결과를 비교하였다. 연구결과: 결과는 제안된 방법을 통해 모델 성능을 향상시켰고 mAP 등의 지표를 평가를 통해 개발 모델이 우수한 성능을 보유하고 있음을 보여준다. 최종 모델은 지하공동구 환경의 연기에 대해 미탐이 낮은 반면 오탐이 다수 발견되는 성능을 보였다. 결론: 본 논문의 모델은 지하공동구 관리시스템과 연계를 통해 보완함으로써 지하공동구의 연기 객체 감지에 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

Toward residential building energy conservation through the Trombe wall and ammonia ground source heat pump retrofit options, applying eQuest model

  • The aim of this research is to apply the eQuest model to investigate the energy conservation in a multifamily building located in Dayton, Ohio by using a Trombe wall and an ammonia ground source heat pump (R-717 GSHP). Integration of the Trombe wall into the building is the first retrofitting measure in this study. Trombe wall as a passive solar system, has a simple structure which may reduce the heating demand of buildings significantly. Utilization of ground source heat pump is an effective approach where conventional air source heat pump doesn't have an efficient performance, especially in cold climates. Furthermore, the type of refrigerant in the heat pumps has a substantial effect on energy efficiency. Natural refrigerant, ammonia (R-717), which has a high performance and no negative impacts on the environment, could be the best choice for using in heat pumps. After implementing the eQUEST model in the said multifamily building, the total annual energy consumption with a conventional R-717 air-source-heat-pump (ASHP) system was estimated as the baseline model. The baseline model results were compared to those of the following scenarios: using R-717 GSHP, R410a GSHP and integration of the Trombe wall into the building. The Results specified that, compared to the baseline model, applying the R-717 GSHP and Trombe wall, led to 20% and 9% of energy conservation in the building, respectively. In addition, it was noticed that by using R-410a instead of R-717 in the GSHP, the energy demand increased by 14%.

그린리모델링 효과평가를 위한 표준공동주택 정밀에너지해석모델 보정과 검증 (Calibration and Verification of Detailed Prototypical Apartment Building Energy Models for Estimation of Green Remodeling Feasibility)

  • 표준건물 에너지모델은 정책, 연구 및 기술개발 등에 다양한 활용성이 있다. 상세 에너지해석용 표준공동주택모델이 서동현 외(2014)에 의해 제안되었으나, 모델의 에너지소비량 예측에 성능 검증용 신뢰성 있는 측정데이터가 없어 충분한 검증이 이루어지지 못하였다. 그러나, 최근 에너지경제연구원(KEEI)에서 매년 발표하는 가구에너지패널조사(HEPS) 데이터를 분석하여 공동주택 벤치마크데이터를 발표한 연구에 힘입어 검증이 가능하게 되었다. 이 연구는 이 검증용 데이터를 이용하여 표준공동주택 에너지모델을 중부지역, 2000년 이전 모델을 기준으로 보정하고, 보정된 모델을 이용하여 지역과 준공년도가 그룹에도 유효한 성능을 보여주는지 검증하였다. 검중에는 중부, 남부 각 5개씩의 대표도시 표준기상데이터가 이용되었고, 18개의 그룹에서 대부분 MBE, cv(RMSE) 기준을 만족하는 결과를 도출하였다.

리모델링 사업성 평가 모델 구축에 관한 고찰 (A Study on the Building of Remodeling Evaluation Model)

  • This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of remodeling business by predicting the future price of apartment house after remodeling using Hedonic Price Model. The data concerning such 9 independent variables as location, unit size, unit plan, landscape, parking, the number of elapsed years after completion, number of units, mechanical performance, interior from 25 regions in Seoul metropolitan city were collected and evaluated by established evaluation criteria. The coefficients affecting the price of apartment unit were made by Ivay of linear multi-regression and put into Hedonic Price Model. The feasibility evaluation model for apartment was made and verified by data of remodelled apartment. The predicted results using suggested evaluation model coincide with actual apartment market situations.

  • This study is to suggest a performance assessment model for fire safety protection of office building 34 asessment elements were chosen by interviewing with experts, reviewing several codes and existing relevant models, assessment elements included in this model are comprised of five categories which are 'performace of protected area', 'performance of fire partition', 'safety performance of fire escape', 'performace of smoke control system' and 'performace of fire fighting equipment'. The weight of each element was computed by systematic approach like an AHP (analytical hierarchy process), which was conducted by experts who work in the field of fire protection. This model would be utilized as a part of assessment model for the overall performace of domestic office building.
