균열이 있는 보의 모델링 및 동적 해석에 관한 연구 (A study on the Modeling and Dynamic Analysis of Cracked Beam Structures)

  • This paper presents an efficient modeling and dynamic analysis method for open cracked beam structures. An equivalent bending spring model is introduced to represent the structural weakening effect in the presence of cracks. The proposed method adopts the exact dynamic element method (EDEM) to avoid the inconvenience and numerical errors in association with re-meshing the structural model with the crack position changed. The proposed modeling method is validated through a series of simulation and experiments. First, the proposed method is rigorously compared with a commercial finite element code. Then, two kinds of experiments are performed to validate the proposed modeling method. Finally, a diagnostic scheme fur open cracked beam structures is proposed and demonstrated through a numerical example.

  • 본 논문은 오디오와 비디오 정보의 융합을 통한 멀티 모달 음성 인식 시스템을 제안한다. 음성 특징 정보와 영상 정보 특징의 융합을 통하여 잡음이 많은 환경에서 효율적으로 사람의 음성을 인식하는 시스템을 제안한다. 음성 특징 정보는 멜 필터 캡스트럼 계수(Mel Frequency Cepstrum Coefficients: MFCC)를 사용하며, 영상 특징 정보는 주성분 분석을 통해 얻어진 특징 벡터를 사용한다. 또한, 영상 정보 자체의 인식률 향상을 위해 피부 색깔 모델과 얼굴의 형태 정보를 이용하여 얼굴 영역을 찾은 후 강력한 입술 영역 추출 방법을 통해 입술 영역을 검출한다. 음성-영상 융합은 변형된 시간 지연 신경 회로망을 사용하여 초기 융합을 통해 이루어진다. 실험을 통해 음성과 영상의 정보 융합이 음성 정보만을 사용한 것 보다 대략 5%-20%의 성능 향상을 보여주고 있다.

  • This paper presents design and fabrication of micromachined accelerometer using $100{\mu}m$ thick SiOG substrate. The proposed accelerometer has a resonant frequency, 6kHz. To reduce the off-axis sensitivity of the accelerometer, the mode characteristic of the accelerometer is investigated using ANSYs modal analysis. Because the accelerometer is fabricated using an SiOG substrate, it is expected to be integrated as one-chip IMU sensor with a gyroscope using an SiOG substrate.

프레스 광전자식 방호장치의 충격진동 저감 (Shock and Vibration Reduction of the Opto-Electronic Protective Device for the Press Machine)

  • The vibration and shock of the opto-electronic protective device was induced mechanical failure or fail to work correctly. In order to identify the exciting frequency components of vibration and shock, vibration signals are measured and analyzed from the mechanical power press. In addition, the modal test for the opto-electronic protective device was performed to investigate the dynamic characteristics. Some FEM simulations were carried out and then anti vibration mount was made for opto-electronic protective device. Based on the results of simulations, some kind of rubber mounts were tested to demonstrate the reduction of vibration and shock. It was verified by the test that a considerable amount of vibration and shock were reduced.

Simulation and Design of a Multilayer Piezoelectric Actuator

  • In this study, two- and three-layer ceramic piezoelectric actuators were designed and simulated according to SUS316 thickness, actuator width, and mass using ATILA software in order to develop a piezoelectric actuator for haptic application. Numerical modelling based on the finite element method was performed to find the resonance frequencies and modal shapes of the actuator. The resonance frequency was affected by the thickness of the SUS316 plate and mass. On the other hand, the width of the actuator did not have a significant impact. Maximum displacements were generated at the center of a haptic three-layer ceramic piezoelectric actuator. The two-layer ceramic piezoelectric actuator with a mass of 2.6 g was suitable as $16.28{\mu}m$ at 265 Hz for haptic sensation application.

  • This work presents an active vibration control of a stiffened hull structure using a flexible macro fiber composite(MFC) actuator. As first step, the governing equation of the hull structure is derived in a matrix form and its dynamic characteristics such as natural frequency are obtained via a finite element analysis(FEA). The natural frequencies obtained from the FEA are compared with those determined from experimental measurement. After formulating the control model in a state space representation, an optimal controller is designed in order to attenuate the vibration of the stiffened hull structure. The controller is then empirically realized through dSPACE and control responses are evaluated in time domain.

  • This paper proposes an identification method for modes of a thin plate where multiple actuators and sensors are bonded. When a natural frequency of a mode is decoupled from all other natural frequencies, the mode can be identified separatedly with a bandpass filter. Since a thin plate has resonant peaks at natural frequencies, the bandpass filter can be designed to extract the signal of the mode to be identified. Parameters of the second order linear differential equation of the mode can be obtained to apply the Least square method to the extract the modal signal. The proposed identification method is applied to an all-clamped plate with two pairs of piezoelectric actuators and sensors. The outputs of the identified model match with the experimental data well.

  • This paper proposed a method of reducing a noise in hard disk drive. This method is performed through three parts of procedures. First procedure is sound-oriented experiment, which contains sound intensity techniques and measurements of sound pressure level and sound power. Second is vibration-oriented experiment, which contains FRF(Frequency Response Function) analysis and disk vibration reduction techniques. And the third is computer-oriented simulation, which contains modal analysis and force vibration analysis using ANSYS and sound radiation prediction using SYSNOISE. As these three parts can affect with each other, they should be considered and conducted simultaneously. Through this procedure sound power is measured 2.7 Bels in idle-spinning mode, which is the lowest noise level in the HDD industries.

  • Vibration characteristics of the feeding system in a CD-ROM drive are identified by a theoretical modeling as well as vibration experiments. For this purpose, we establish a vibration model due to the rigid-body motion and perform the modal testings using the impact hammer and shaker. The analysis and experiments show that the feeding system has three rigid-body vibration modes in the low-frequency region and two of them come from the tilting modes. In order to remove the harmful tilting modes for the tracking servo control, a methodology to find the optimal positions of the dampers is also proposed in this study.

  • The vibration of rotor systems is caused by various factors, such as misalignment, unbalance, gear meshing, error of assembly, etc. Modal test and TDA/ODS analysis were done. The dynamic analysis of the armature was done with SAMCEF which is a commercial software for finite element and kinematic analysis. The transient response of the armature is calculated by the SAMCEF with the consideration of magnetic force and bearing stiffness, which are the essential elements for the design of high speed cutter. Main frequency of the vibration is due to the unbalance of the armature. The FEM analysis model considering unbalance and the high speed cutter have same vibration properties. The vibration sources of the high speed cutter is proved to be unbalance.
