This paper considers an application of distributed antenna system (DAS) to a system of intra-vehicle wireless energy transfer (WET). The intra-vehicle WET system has features such as limited mobility of energy receiver, static channel environment and short distance between transmitter and human body. Under these conditions, location of transmitter highly affects the amount of energy received by human body and the energy received by energy receiving devices. We compare centralized antenna system (CAS) and the DAS in intra-vehicle WET system by simulation. The results show the DAS has superior performance to the CAS.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of science high school students for modeling module that contain scientists' thinking process. Modeling modules about 'gas diffusion', 'ion conductivity' and 'ion mobility' were applied to science high school students. Interview, lab report, and dialogue were analyzed to comprehend features of modeling module. Students who performed modeling modules perceived that modeling modules were appropriate to experience scientists' research process. Modeling modules were kind of activity to raise 'muscle of thinking', to be needed 'new views' and 'various representations', and to contain 'designing laboratory process'. Therefore, the development of various modeling modules is needed in the near future.

In this paper, a mobile banking system which can provide banking services is introduced. Since a PDA has excellent features like a small-size computer and provides mobility, it has been widely used by salesmen. Therefore, if general banking services can be provided with PDA by using wireless technology, it will be very useful. In addition, it is easy to develop and maintain the client software of PDA because it uses Windows-based operation systems. In this paper, a PDA banking system is introduced. The system is designed and developed based on the techniques of wireless network, security and PDA programming to be used for mobile banking and a prototype system is developed. Moreover, we used the object-oriented modeling technique, UML and Java Beans for programming.

Bacteriophage ${\Phi}FC1$ integrase (MJ1) was previously shown to perform a site-specific recombination between a phage attachment site (attP) and a host attachment site (attB) in its host, Enterococcus faecalis, and also in a non-host bacterium, Escherichia coli. Here, we investigated biochemical features of MJ1 integrase. First, MJ1 integrase could perform in vitro recombination between attP and attB in the absence of additional factors. Second, MJ1 integrase interacted with att sites. Electrophoretic mobility shift assays and DNase I footprinting revealed that MJ1 integrase could efficiently bind to all the att sites and that MJ1 integrase recognized relatively short sequences (${\sim}50bp$) containing an overlapping region within attB and attP. These results demonstrate that MJ1 integrase indeed catalyzes an integrative recombination between attP and attB, the mechanism of which might be simple and unidirectional, as found in serine integrases.
Wireless networks have become integral to society as they provide mobility and scalability advantages. However, their disadvantage is that they cannot control the media, which makes them vulnerable to various types of attacks. One example of such attacks is the evil twin access point (AP) attack, in which an authorized AP is impersonated by mimicking its service set identifier (SSID) and media access control (MAC) address. Evil twin APs are a major source of deception in wireless networks, facilitating message forgery and eavesdropping. Hence, it is necessary to detect them rapidly. To this end, numerous methods using clock skew have been proposed for evil twin AP detection. However, clock skew is difficult to calculate precisely because wireless networks are vulnerable to noise. This paper proposes an evil twin AP detection method that uses a multiple-feature-based machine learning classification algorithm. The features used in the proposed method are clock skew, channel, received signal strength, and duration. The results of experiments conducted indicate that the proposed method has an evil twin AP detection accuracy of 100% using the random forest algorithm.

In Bluetooth networks, the scatternet is defined as the internetworking of multiple piconets. Currently, Bluetooth standardization does not include the formation issue of scatternet by piconets. The existing formation algorithms of scatternet do not support the features of ad-hoc networks, which cause the performance degradation of systems when the nodes have certain degree of mobility. Therefore, as the formation of scatternet gets complicated, the throughput is lowered and the delay increases due to the inefficient architectural problems. In this paper, we propose the distributed formation scheme for bluetooth in scatternet, in which the nodes are spread out to form scatternet. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the conventional schemes.

Herein, we describe the effect of the cooling-off condition of a solution-processed 6,13-bis(triisopropylsilylethynyl)-pentacene (TIPS-pentacene) film on its molecular distribution and the resultant electrical properties. Since the solvent in a TIPS-pentacene droplet gradually evaporates from the rim to the center exhibiting a radial form of solute, for a quenched case, domains of the TIPS-pentacene film are aboriginally spread showing original features of radial shape due to suppressed molecular rearrangement during the momentary cooling period. For the slowly cooled case, however, TIPS-pentacene molecules are randomly rearranged during the long cooling period. As a result, in the lopsided electrodes structure proposed in this work, the charge transport generates more effectively under the case for radial distribution induced by the quenching technique. It was found that the molecular redistribution during the cooling-period plays an important role on the magnitude of the mobility in a solution-processed organic transistor. This work provides at least a scientific basis between the molecular distribution and electrical properties in solution-processed organic devices.
In spite of colossal efforts taken for safe handling and storage of radioactive waste, the uncontrolled release of radiocesium ($^{137}Cs$ and $^{134}Cs$ isotopes) into the natural environment is inevitable. $^{137}Cs$ is of particular concern because of its long half-life, ability to transfer into biota through food chains, as well as its great mobility, bioavailability, and chemical and ecophysiological similarity with potassium. Radiocesium is released anthropogenically into the environment. Mushrooms are known for their ability to accumulate radionuclides, particularly radiocesium, which is heterogeneously distributed in the individual parts of mushrooms, and it is found that mushrooms are a hyper-accumulator of radiocesium from their environment than other vegetation. Mushrooms play a major role in the mobilization, accumulation, and translocation of cesium, i.e., decontamination of soils (mycoextraction) polluted with cesium radioisotopes, and this capacity appears to be a relevant bioindicator of cesium contamination in the environment. Moreover, the extension of mycelium into the soil makes the use of mushrooms as bioindicators of radiocesium possible. This paper reviews the potential of mushrooms in the accumulation of radiocesium from the environment, and dissertates the salient features to support the employment of mushrooms in environmental biomonitoring as a sensitive bioindicator of radiocesium contamination.
Wearable bags are body-worn bags, integrated with clothing or accessories, and they can liberate the wearer's hands, offering enhanced mobility. The main purposes of this research were: a) to analyze wearable bag design cases ranging from historical costumes to contemporary fashion; b) to develop wearable bag designs using various defined design methods, styles, and features and prototypes; and c) to evaluate people's satisfaction with the developed wearable bags and their differences among people with different innovativeness levels. Thus, the wearable bag design cases involved in this study were researched and collected from previous literature searches. then, the wearable bag designs were developed and prototyped. Next. an evaluation survey was conducted using questions that assessed satisfaction with overall design and function, use and purchase intention, and consumer innovativeness. The results are expected to enhance the understanding of wearable bags and provide guidelines for designers who develop wearable bags. The results indicated that 80% or more of the surveyed people were satisfied with the design and function of the developed wearable bags. They perceived that the bags were easy to use and useful, and wanted to use and purchase them. Consumers with high social, functional, and hedonic innovativeness were more satisfied and perceived these wearable bags as easier to use and more useful and wanted to use and purchase them more than consumers with low innovativeness. This study can be helpful to designers developing wearable bags by providing a better understanding of wearable bags and consumer perceptions.
In this paper, we have recently created self-driving cars and self-parking systems in human-friendly cars that can provide high safety and high convenience functions by recognizing the internal and external situations of automobiles in real time by incorporating next-generation electronics, information communication, and function control technologies. And with the development of connected cars, the ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) market is expected to grow rapidly. Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is an intelligent transportation system that incorporates technologies such as electronics, information, communication, and control into the transportation system, and aims to implement a next-generation transportation system suitable for the information society. By combining the technologies of connected cars and Internet of Things with software features and operating systems, future cars will serve as a service platform to connect the surrounding infrastructure on their own. This study creates a research methodology based on the Enhanced Security Model in Self-Driving Cars model. As for the types of attacks, Availability Attack, Man in the Middle Attack, Imperial Password Use, and Use Inclusive Access Control attack defense methodology are used. Along with the commercialization of 5G, various service models using advanced technologies such as autonomous vehicles, traffic information sharing systems using IoT, and AI-based mobility services are also appearing, and the growth of smart transportation is accelerating. Therefore, research was conducted to defend against hacking based on vulnerabilities of smart cars based on artificial intelligence blockchain.
