According to the customers' demands, cellular phones are getting thinner and thinner in spite that their functions are getting more complex and flexible. Based on this trend, we are willing to propose new design of ultra slim cellular phone with multi-hinges which can provide thinner feature and wider active area than the current merchandised one. To make it come true, smaller and stronger mechanical parts would be necessary and more researches would be carried out in the near future. Moreover, the new frame of ultra slim cellular phone has the problem in heat propagation due to its thin feature and multi function. In this paper, slim heat-spreader would be proposed as a candidate to resolve the problem of heat transfer in the new cellular phone. To investigate the applicability of heat-spreader to cellular phones, prototypes were fabricated and verified.

The detection of defective parts in a factory is usually performed by the human eye. Therefore, heavy manpower is in demand for minor enterprises. An image processing system is desired to solve this drawback. However, due to the variety of the products characteristics, an general algorithm is needed that can adapt to these characteristics. Therefore, in this paper, the key pad parts' characteristics which need to be dealt with are analyzed in order to embody the image processing algorithm that is suggested. The experimental results show the probability of detecting a defective part is 95% with a detection time of 0.203 seconds, on the average.

웹과 스마트폰의 사용이 일상화 되면서 맵 응용에 대한 수요가 웹 및 모바일 환경에서 급증하고 있다. 웹 기반 맵 응용들은 대부분 ArcGIS와 같은 값비싼 개발 환경이나 MapServer와 같은 공개 개발 환경에서 작성되고 있고 모바일 맵 응용들은 Google Maps나 Yahoo Maps와 같은 API 수준에서 작성되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 개발 환경들은 자동화 지원 정도가 미약하여 맵 응용 개발의 많은 부분이 아직 수작업에 의존하고 있다. 우리가 설계하고 구현한 MapAppGen은 신속한 웹 기반 맵 응용의 작성을 지원하기 위해 Drupal CMS(Contents Management System)에 적용 가능한 맵 관련 모듈들을 생성해 줌으로써 맵 응용에 대한 생산성을 향상시켜 준다. MapAppGen으로 생성한 응용은 Drupal이 지원하는 기존의 GMap이나 NodeMap이 생성한 응용에 비해 관심의 대상인 지형/지물과 함께 이 지형/지물과 연관된 모든 정보를 검색해 표시한다. MapAppGen은 Google Maps API를 사용하며 Drupal은 컨텐츠의 생성, 구성, 관리를 지원하는 모듈 기반 시스템이다. 향후, MapAppGen을 확장하여 모바일 맵 응용의 자동 생성도 지원할 예정이다.

LED(Liquid Emitting Diode)프레임 장치는 한국을 대표하는 디스플레이 분야에서 큰 비중을 차지하고 있다. LED는 TV나 모니터, 노트북, 핸드폰 등 에 필수적인 부품이다. 일본이나 대만, 중국 등에서 LED에 대한 투자를 강화하면서 생산성 향상이 중요한 사항이 되고 있다. 하지만 부품의 크기가 점점 작아지면서, 사람의 눈에 의한 일관적이지 못한 검사는 신뢰성이 문제가 되어 LED 모듈 검사 분야에서 자동 검사 공정은 필수적인 사항이 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 컴퓨터 비전 기술을 이용하여 시각 검사 공정의 결함을 검사한다. LED 프레임에 대한 검사를 신속하고 정확하게 함으로써 공정상의 효율을 높이고 검사시간을 단축하였다. 검사 시스템을 현장에 적용한 결과 빠르고 정확하게 검사가 가능함을 확인하였다.
