Comparison and Analysis on Mobile Payment in terms of Security : Survey (모바일 결제 기술 및 보안 측면에서의 비교분석 : 서베이)

  • There have been consumer needs for mobile payment system due to the rapid increase in the number of smartphones and the use of them. In tum, the market has been expanding as IT companies begin to participate in the mobile payment system business. Moreover, since the system supports better services not only covering payment service but also interworking with various apps in devices, it has been maximizing the consumer convenience. Although the convenience increased due to the mobile payment system, the vulnerability in security also increased; and smartphone users have been afraid of using the mobile payment system. This study is to examine Samsung Pay and Apple Pay, to present the vulnerability, and to suggest a countermeasure.

A Study of Factors Affecting Mobile Application Download (모바일 애플리케이션 다운로드에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • Mobile applications are significantly impacting people's smart phone using behavior and mobile industry value chain. By examining sources of data on mobile applications use, this study presents evidence about what factors would affect the amount of apps download, which may be useful to guide app designers and publishers to develop more persuasive new apps and marketing strategies. The results indicated app ranking had effect on download amount of apps in both Android app market and Apple app store, while prices of apps had no impact on the amount of download. App type, developer experience, and locality had effect on the amount of download only for paid apps in Apple app store.

  • The change in performance of the mobile communication field took place due to jumping development of technology, so high performance terminals that anyone can directly search and amend desired information anywhere and anytime, namely, the mobile communication terminals called Smartphone were released to the market. The terminal can store informations that an individual stored, for example, call log, where to make contact and address of acquaintances, transmit/receive message and mail, photographs and videos, etc., but there are worries on surreptitious use of other people due to leaking of personal information through loss or theft of these terminals because of several reasons, so the present thesis aims to realize a method that remotely control information inside a terminal in case of loss of a mobile communication terminal.

  • The demand of domestic mobile service has been explosively increasing. The forthcoming WCDMA, which open in 2006, is also a key technology in the mobile service market. The WCDMA service needs HSPDA phones which will be evolved to HSDPA. In the aspect of drawing up management strategy, practical researches about forecasting the demands of new mobile phones are necessary. In this paper, we provide the modified the Lotka-volterra model as a forecasting model, which is concerned with effects of phone prices and performance.

  • In the smart life era where the majority of economically active population uses mobile devices, smart devices have formed a new service market. In this study, we developed a shipyard quality management application using mobile devices such as smart phones and tablet PCs. For this purpose, the problems were derived through the analysis of the quality management work on shipyard and the considerations were extracted to build a smart work environment by analyzing the case studies of smart work in other industrial fields. Among the shipyard quality management work, functions thought to be highly utilized when converted to a mobile system has been developed as a mobile application. The application was developed by applying an object-oriented component-based development (ooCBD) methodology, and is expected to improve the user experience and the efficiency of quality management operations in shipyard.

  • With the rapid development of mobile technology the use of smartphone is spreading. In order to activate mobile banking and market in the future, the most important key is a secure financial transactoin. However, because many apps are developed without security check in proportional to the spread of smartphone, security threat is inevitably high. Current smartphone banking is processed as the way of the existing public certificate or OTP technique in the mobile environment, but many security hole about current technology is pointed out steadily. Therefore, in this paper we are to improve a existing security hole by reinforcing the security through multi-factor authentication and providing a physical non-repudiation.

  • This paper proposes a single accelerometer sensor control algorithm to mobile inverted pendulum, generally called 'Segway', and evaluates the performance of this system comparing to the conventional ones. The commercialized 'Prototype Segway-PT' is initially considered as a next-generation transport vehicle. However, this robot is operated by three gyroscopes and two accelerometers to control the posture and speed, and it requires the complex signal processing for fusing the two sets of data. As the result of this, the growth rate of market size of 'Segway' is slow because of its high price mainly. In this paper, the mobile inverted pendulum is operated by a single accelerometer to simplify the control system to lower the price. Low pass filter is one of the good sensors to reducing the variation of an accelerometer, but it has time delay. This time delay disturbs real-time mobile inverted pendulum control. Like this, other various algorithms are used for this system, but each one has its own weak point. So this paper proposes a new filtering method, median filter and EKF. Median filter is used to image processing to reject impulse elements like salt and pepper noise. As the major performance evaluation parameter for the accelerometer, the high-frequency to low frequency ratio from FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) is used. Effectiveness of the proposed algorithms has been verified through the real experiments and the results are demonstrated.

  • Mobile applications are software systems running on handheld devices, such as smartphones, PDAs, tablets and so on. The market of mobile application has rapidly expanded in the past few years. In this paper, we present a novel approach to track smartphone application usage from a event logs on the mobile device and analyzed both on client system and usage analysis server. We implemented our client system on Android device based usage analytics platform. Based on the analysis server system, we obtained over 47,000 user base, and we get the user's app usage informations on realtime. In this paper, we describe a large scale deployment-based research for a smartphone usage patterns and usage information visualization techniques.

  • In this paper, we propose a strategy of charging by analyzing the difference of path coefficient according to whether consumers are free or not, rather than presenting strategies for charging. Mobile devices have become so popular that they are called necessities. Companies have to adapt to the mobile environment and respond to the situation, and have to expand market opportunities strategically. In this study, we extend the technology acceptance model to analyze the incentives of consumers' behavior by analyzing the difference in the effect consumers perceive as a moderating variable, whether paid or free. Efforts to maximize company's inherent profit continue, and in particular, charging is a strategy that all companies should pursue in the mobile environments. It is necessary to grasp the degree of the consumer's response to free and charge. The model of satisfaction with the continuous use and the word-of-mouth intention, which is the behavior intention, is presented by adding parameters of satisfaction to the technology acceptance model. In addition, we try to derive implications by analyzing the influence of moderating effects of whether free or not.

A Study on the Holiday Effect of Purchase Interval of Mobile Phone in Chinese Online B2C Market

  • The purpose of this study is to demonstrate empirically whether replacement intervals of mobile phones sold in China online B2C are influenced by purchase points such as holidays. If there is a holiday effect, it is expected that the product replacement interval or interpurchase interval will be short compared to the usual one at holiday time. In order to verify this positively, at TMall, one of the largest B2C sites in China, we explored 5,132 replacement cycle intervals and the point of purchase at which one of the sales records of an agent dealing with all multinational mobile phones had minimum two purchase records. As a result, there was a buyer who had shorter replacement period than usual in holiday season. There was no statistically significant difference in the intervals of interchange between holidays. Based on the results, it was found that the mobile phone vendors were aware that purchasing was occurring due to the holiday.
