  • Recently, many mobile applications have been developed and published by increasing popularity of smart phone's market. However, a lack of research work is an issue for mobile applications' favoritism to users. In this paper, we have determined the acceptance factors on the existing smart phone applications in order to fit into mobile user's requirements. In addition, we have defined the modification of acceptance factors which are the interesting element of mobile applications, code users reviews of top 20 paid applications among android market applications, and analyse on what element can attract users' interest of mobile applications. As a result, we propose a development method of mobile applications based on the analyzed interesting elements. Our contribution is to provide useful information to mobile application companies for helping them to develop and publish successful mobile applications.

  • New ways of achieving small, multiband, multifunctional, and standard solutions for mobile handset antennas are demanded in the current wireless market. A non-resonant element of $5mm{\times}5mm{\times}5mm$, a matching network, and a $100mm{\times}40mm$ slotted ground plane are proposed to satisfy mobile market demands that require multiband operation and small antenna solutions. The main advantage of the proposed design is that with only one non-resonant element of considerably small size ($0.015{\lambda}$, 900 MHz), the handset is capable of providing operation at mobile bands.

  • As the need for immediate access to the required information has increased in today's busy daily life, information service providers' capability of providing service whenever and wherever possible has become a critical element of improving service quality. Naturally, the demand and supply for mobile information service has rapidly increased since it is an ultimate option of satisfying information needs without temporal and special constraints. This paper examines the issues of system implementation and information service provision using mobile communication network and mobile handset as a tool of information access. First, it examines overall conditions of mobile information service environment, and then explores the general components required for the implementation of mobile information service, including contents, network, platform, and use environment.

  • It is well known that mobile phones have been a indispensable communication tool for human life. The spiral springs are used as the main component of the semi-auto sliding mechanism of mobile phones. The characteristic of axiomatic approach is scientific and analytical method, and axiomatic approach is different from other design methods in offering the systematic method at an early stage of design. The axiomatic approach could determine design parameter and arrange the order of design and estimate the optimum design in good order. In axiomatic approach, the composition is divided by customer requirement, functional requirement, design parameter, and design matrix in large portion. This paper presents design in sliding mechanism for mobile phones by finite element method and axiomatic design.

  • A new concept sea-floating port called mobile harbor has been introduced, in order to resolve the limitation of current above-ground port facilities against the continuous growth of worldwide marine transportation. One of important subjects in the design of a mobile harbor is to secure the dynamic stability against wave-induced excitation, because a relatively large-scale heavy crane system installed at the top of mobile harbor should load/unload containers at sea under the sea state up to level 3. In this context, this paper addresses a two-step sequential analytical-numerical method for analyzing the structural dynamic response of the mobile harbor crane system to the wave-induced rolling excitation. The rigid ship motion of mobile harbor by wave is analytically solved, and the flexible dynamic response of the crane system by the rigid ship motion is analyzed by the finite element method. The hydrodynamic effect between sea water and mobile harbor is reflected by means of the added moment of inertia.

  • In this paper, a wide band helical antenna for mobile handset using parasitic element effect has been investigated. To obtain the effect of parasitic element, we utilized the cylindrical conductor which is not feed. As thickness of cylindrical conductor is increasing, second and third resonance frequency become abruptly variable. In case of that 4.5mm diameter parasitic element cylindrical conductor is inserted, normal mode helical antenna obtained bandwidth of around 900 MHz on the limit of R. L., - 5 dB.

  • Due to the improving mobile environments, we can play RPG in not only computer online field but also mobile field. It is difference from hardware environment between them so that mobile RPG has been changed and modified to play in mobile environment except RPG's frame and basic element. This Study has investigated the model to evaluate the balance of battle that is based on the RPG. Although there is an assessment model studied with a focus on the MMORPG, It is difficult to apply to the entire balance in RPG especially mobile RPG. Former model has used only basic element because there were so many kinds of variables such as user's controls, other players and objects in game. The reason why that model just gave a guide line about battle balance. In this paper, the new assessment model to include the balance factors such as BUFF, NURF and PASSIVE could be possible for applying the balance of mobile RPG on recent trends. As a result, the new model can measure numerical calculations compared to the previous model.

  • In recent years, a novel tiny piezoelectric linear motor converting a radial mode vibration to a longitudinal mode vibration driven by the impact force has been developed for a camera optical module. The tiny piezoelectric motor is consisted of a shaft, mobile element, and piezoelectric transducer. In this work, the frictional coefficient and static friction force of the interface between the shaft and the mobile element have been investigated according to their respective materials. It was found that two combinations, namely Pyrex glass or stainless steel for the shaft and stainless steel (SUS) for the mobile element, exhibited good dynamic behaviors in the tiny ultrasonic linear motor, which was newly developed based on operating concepts based on Newton's law.

  • In this paper, we improved the reliability of a spiral spring in semi-auto sliding mechanism of mobile phones. In an semi-auto opening mechanism of mobile phone, the spring must have sufficient reliability such that the spring force does not reduce under a half of initial value after 100000 operations. Since the inner space of the mechanism is very small, it is difficult to design a spring having sufficient reliability. We designed a spiral spring satisfying such conditions and analyzed its elastic performances using finite element method.
