  • This study examines the factors that influence the actual usage of mobile shopping applications among Generation Y (Gen Y) users in Thailand, determined by behavioral intention, compatibility, perceived cost, perceived ease-of-use, perceived usefulness, perceived risk, and personal innovativeness. The researcher carried out the analysis based on a quantitative approach and used a non-probability sampling as the convenience sampling tool. A total of 502 Gen Y respondents who experienced using the top-four ranking mobile shopping applications in Thailand were invited to participate in the study. The Structural Equation Model (SEM) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were used to analyze the model fit, reliability, and validity of the variables. The primary result revealed that perceived usefulness has the strongest positive significant effect on behavioral intention, followed by personal innovativeness and compatibility. Conversely, the perceived cost has a significant negative influence on behavioral intention. Besides, perceived ease-of-use has a significant positive effect on perceived usefulness. The direct relationship between perceived usefulness and behavioral intention is, however, insignificant. Similarly, the result showed no effect of perceived risk towards behavioral intention. Finally, the result also revealed that behavioral intention determined the actual usage of mobile shopping applications of Gen Y users in Thailand.

  • Nowadays, learning management systems (LMS) are an effective and efficient tool for providing students with a high-quality education. The current study examines the effect of different factors on the use of the blackboard application on mobile phones. The study selects four important factors after factor analysis, such as facilitating factor, performance factor, satisfaction factor, and difficulties factor. The data was collected through a structured questionnaire from 45 students as a sample in the college of business administration at Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University. The study uses a logistic regression model to examine the empirical relationship between LMS adoption and different factors associated with blackboard adoption. The results show that 71 percent of the respondents are between the age of 18-20 years, and 100 percent of students have experience in using blackboard. The empirical results show that the satisfaction factor is positive and significant at the 10 percent level of significance and the difficulties factor is also positive and significant at the 1 percent level of significance. The results conclude that the students are satisfied with using the blackboard on mobile, nevertheless, the difficulties factor which is positive and significant shows that students are facing some difficulties in using the blackboard on their mobile.

  • Purpose - This study attempts to examine the new concept of mobile internet users' lifestyles through empirical analyses based on the i-VALS concept study that had classified the VALS program, among others, aiming at internet users. Research design, data, and methodology - A total of 300 questionnaire copies were distributed, of which 273 were collected; only 244 were used for the empirical study after excluding some inappropriate or unusable ones. To analyze the data collected, the SPSS/WIN 19.0 statistical package was used, and the lifestyles of mobile internet users were reclassified after analyzing the reliability and validity of the responses. Results - The study involved the empirical analyses of the new concept of the mobile internet users' lifestyles based on the i-VALS concept study, of which the subjects were internet users. Conclusion - It is possible to provide enterprises with more systematic and objective fundamental data based on the characteristics of mobile internet users' lifestyles, to help enterprises with their establishment of market segmentation strategies for promoting mobile shopping in the future.

  • This research analyzed the influence of mobile fashion shopping characteristics on customer loyalty through relationship quality. The data were collected subjects in their 20's-30's who had purchased fashion products using a mobile shopping channel. through an online survey using the self administered questionnaire. Exploratory and confirmative factor analysis were conducted to identify the dimensions of mobile fashion shopping characteristics and customer relationship variables. Mobile fashion shopping characteristics comprised four dimensions including tangibility, ubiquity, security and personalization. Customer relationship variables were identified as four dimensions such as satisfaction, trust commitment and loyalty. A structural equation modeling analysis was employed to examine the relationship between mobile fashion shopping characteristics, relationship quality and customer loyalty. Tangibility, ubiquity and security had a significantly positive impact on satisfaction and trust, but personalization had an influence on only satisfaction. Satisfaction had a significantly positive impact on commitment and loyalty. Trust had an influence on only commitment. In conclusion, relationship quality was found to be the appropriate model to explain the influence of mobile commerce characteristics on consumer' loyalty in mobile fashion shopping.

  • The development of mobile applications is fast in recent years. However, nearly all applications are for messaging, financial, locating services based on simple interactions with mobile users because of the limited screen size, narrow network bandwidth, and low computing power. Processing an algorithm for supporting a group decision process on mobile devices becomes impossible. In this paper, we introduce the mobile-oriented simple interactive procedure for support a group decision making process. The interactive procedure is developed for multiple objective linear programming problems to help the group select a compromising solution in the mobile Internet environment. Our procedure lessens the burden of group decision makers, which is one of necessary conditions of the mobile environment. Only the partial weak order preferences of variables and objectives from group decision makers are enough for searching the best compromising solution. The methodology is designed to avoid any assumption about the shape or existence of the decision makers's utility function. For the purpose of the experimental study of the procedure, we developed a group decision support system in the mobile Internet environment, MOBIGSS and applied to an allocation problem of investor assets.

  • Due to the mobil-centered lifestyle following the wider use of Smartphones, Mobile services, including mobile banking and mobile shopping business have increased rapidly. Also with the emergence of "Fintech", which finance combined with technology, IT based financial market is going to be highly promising. In this trend, interests mobile credit cards are increasing. But diffusion of the mobile credit card services is still in the low level. In this situation, to identify factors that influencing satisfaction and continuous usage intention on mobile credit card, this study applied innovation diffusion theory (IDT) and post acceptance model (PAM). To conducting this research, survey data were collected, and we used SmartPLS to analyze survey data. As a result of the study, perceived easy of use, image, compatibility and facilitation positively affect user's satisfaction in mobile credit cards and that such satisfaction have a positive impact on continuous intention to use. The facilitation influences user satisfaction more strongly for those who use mobile credit cards more than plastic credit cards. Also, perceived of use and image influence user satisfaction more strongly for those who use plastic credit cards more than mobile credit cards. It is expected that this study can be a guideline for credit card service providers and policy makers to invigorate mobile credit card business. Also it worths as a early-stage research on Fintech-related studies.

  • The purpose of this research is to identify the impact of trust on user acceptance of mobile banking and to identify if causalities among these factors are different between Internet and mobile banking. To test this model, this research applies the technology acceptance model(TAM) that incorporates trust. Additionally, this research use structural equation modeling to test the model and examine cross-group differences using a multi-group comparison method. The empirical results indicate that all path is significant expect the path from trust to intention to use. The results of a multi-group comparison test indicated that the path from trust to attitude, from trust to intention to use, from perceived usefulness to attitude and from perceived to intention to use are different between Internet and mobile banking.

  • Development of information and communication technologies has given a lot of changes in the business processing methods including the school and class managements. However, many business processing systems are still based on desktop computer. In particular, most of the class management system only supports desktop computers; hence school teachers have difficulty in using their class managements systems on mobile environment. In this paper, we proposed and developed a mobile classroom management system for teachers, which will easily handle information such as personal records of students, student counseling records, student life record and so on. The implementation of the application of mobile-based class management can be managed by many school elements including student register information, student evaluation records and transcripts, counseling report, and so on.
