This study determines the best composite grade to minimize the void of aggregate mixture based on the maximum density theory in an attempt to suggest a mix proportion method design for asphalt mixtures. Study results show that the grading curve with the maximum mass per unit capacity of each aggregate mixture satisfied the KS standards and the optimum AP content to meet the optimal asphalt mixture void rate of 4$\%$ was 5.7$\%$, less than the optimum AP content of 6.5$\%$ suggested in the Marshal mix proportion method design. At the same time, the asphalt mixture produced based upon the suggested mix proportion method had a flow value 17$\%$ lower than that of asphalt mixture produced according to the Marshal method, while its density was greater by 0.06$\~$0.09. This suggests that the introduced mix proportion method design helps to improve the shape flexibility and crack-resistance of asphalt concrete.
The purpose of this study is to examine the change of the shape of sponge cake in proportion to the raw material mixture and the degree of dough. It is examined that the measures of the degree of dough in proportion to the material mixture, and the sense examination and measure of moisture with this sponge cake. The test results indicate that 50% sponge cake is most soft among the ratio of other material mixtures, and sponge cake is more soft as the degree of dough is lower. Therefore, the shape of sponge cake is greatly changed in proportion to the mixture of materials and the degree of dough.

This study exploited the design of mixture proportion for the high strength concrete to establish the method of the quality control and high strength ready-mixed concrete for the application to the construction filed systematically how to output the estimated formula which could forecast mixture proportion for the high strength concrete classed 40${\sim}$60MPa through a experiment. It might contribute for systematic establishment of the method of the quality control and high strength ready-mixed concrete because it was possessed of the function of common data though a server, preservation and output of data, and estimation for the design of mixture proportion for the high strength concrete due to the experimental result, and Visual Basic, MS-SQL were used. Simply, it was produced corresponding to the condition of a laboratory, so it could be fundamental data for the design of mixture proportion for the high strength concrete. If upgrade is enforced with mixture proportion data of the each factory after then, it may contribute to the stability on quality and manufacture of high strength ready-mixed concrete to agree with the properties of each factory.
Secondary batteries with high performance are essential in widespread use of modern portable devices such as cellular phones and laptop computers. High energy density, long cycle life, and safety are some of important requirements for secondary battery. To achieve such characteristics, a mixing proportion of electrolyte solution ingredients in the battery should be carefully chosen. In this paper, using statistical design of mixture experiments (DOME), we attempt to find an optimum condition of designing the secondary battery. DOME has a distinct feature in that the experimental region is represented by simplex, rather than hypercube, because the sum of blend proportions should be unity. Several designs based upon this point have been proposed for mixture experiments. Among them, an extreme vertices design is employed in this paper because there are a couple of blend constraints to be considered. In order to investigate how the mixing proportion interacts with other manufacturing factors, a fractional factorial design is also included across the extreme vertices design. As a result, we find that the blend proportion of solution ingredients has a significant effect on battery performances. By simultaneously optimizing two battery capacities, this paper proposes an optimum blend proportion according to process factor settings.

This paper investigated the results of mixture proportion and compressive strength of concrete incorporating mineral admixtures. W/B and contents of mineral admixtures were selected as test parameters. According to test results, use of mineral admixtures resulted in a reduction of fluidity and air contents caused by increased fine particles and absorption effect of FA on reduction of AE agent. Thus, increase of SP and AE agent was needed to maintain the same fluidity and air content as plain concrete. At early stage, use of CKD was beneficial to the compressive strength while at 28days. incorporation of FA and BS had favorable effect on the compressive strength.
Objectives : The present study was designed to investigate corelation between mix proportion of Scutellaria baicalensis (SB) and Coptis chinensis (CC) on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced TYPE-1 interferon production. Methods : I examined TYPE-1 interferon, interferon regulating factor (IRF)-1,7 and interleukin(IL)-10 production on LPS-induced RAW264.7 cells to evaluate inhibitory effect of mix proportion of SB and CC using real time PCR. Results : Mixture of SB and CC regulated TYPE-1 interferon and IRF-1,7 mRNA expression with SB dose dependent manner, while maintained IL-10 mRNA expression on LPS-induced RAW264.7 cells. Conclusion : In mixture of SB and CC, SB plays a key role in reducing TYPE-1 interferon through inactivation IRF-1,7. Furthermore mixture of SB and CC maintained IL-10 mRNA level. Collectively, this results suggest that SB confer beneficial effects in autoimmune diseases clinically.

This paper is a study about application of recently proposed Performance Based Mixture Design (PBMD) for design of high strength concrete (HSC) to obtain HSC mix proportion that satisfies required performances. The PBMD method which uses Satisfaction curve based on a Bayesian method is a performance oriented concrete mix proportion design procedure easily applicable to any condition and environment for a possible replacement to the current prescriptive design standards. Based on extensive experimental results obtained for various materials and performance parameters of HSC, the application feasibility of the developed PBMD procedure for HSC has been verified. Also, the proposed PBMD procedure has been used to perform application examples to obtain desired target performances of HSC with optimum concrete mixture proportions using locally available materials, local environmental conditions, and available concrete production technologies. The validity and precision of HSC mix proportion design obtained using the PBMD method is verified with the experimental and ACI presented results to check the feasibility for actual design usage.

Basu et al. (1998) proposed a new density-based estimator, called the minimum density power divergence estimator (MDPDE), which avoid the use of nonparametric density estimation and associated complication such as bandwidth selection. Woodward et al. (1995) examined the minimum Hellinger distance estimator (MHDE), proposed by Beran (1977), in the case of estimation of the mixture proportion in the mixture of two normals. In this article, we introduce the MDPDE for a mixture proportion, and show that both the MDPDE and the MHDE have the same asymptotic distribution at a model. Simulation study identifies some cases where the MHDE is consistently better than the MDPDE in terms of bias.

It is now established that more than two types of blended aggregate have beneficial effects on quality and supply of concrete in the long run. However, studies on blended aggregate have not widely been progressive and the evaluation method of its most favorable mixture proportion is still needed. Therefore this study investigated the most favorable mixture proportion through the physical experiment of fresh and hardened state's cement mortar, in response to three types of composite ratio, natural fine aggregate(Ns), crushed fine aggregate(Cs) and recycled fine aggregate(Rs). Test showed that increase of blending ratio of Ns and Cs improved fluidity of mot1ar. For the properties of compressive and flexural strength, mortar blending Ns and Cs properly, exhibited similar value to one using only Cs, while mortar mixing Rs showed lower strength value as less as 6% of control one. Mortar using only Rs exhibited the largest drying shrinkage value. In addition, even thought it is not a clear quantitative analysis, technical-imaging-skill presenting the most favorable mixture proportion 3-dimensionally is proposed in this research, in order to notify the proportion easily.
