  • With the increasing demands for clean environment, development of air cleaning systems has been received increasing attention. EP is usually used for air cleaning in the coal power plant. One of the key technology in the EP is high voltage pulse power supply, which affects the performance of the overall system. In this study, high voltage micro pulse power supply for the pilot EP is developed. The power supply has a de source and a pulse one. The ratings of the dc and pulse source are 60kV and 70kV respectively.

  • We are going to design the Square Pulse Generator use of PCPS (Photo-Conductive Power Switch) for Blumlein lain. The circeuit is made of LC device and it is simulated by Schematics Evaluation Version 8.0 of MicroSim. After charged by DC voltage 15[kV]. When the switch is ON, Square pulse is generated after pause time 1.7857[${\mu}s$]. The square pulse is maximum peak voltage 13.987[kV], pulsed width 3.4017[${\mu}s$], rising time 0.7474[${\mu}s$], falling time 1.1718[${\mu}s$].

  • For sodium cooling liquid metal reactors during the last 25 years, it was most important to verify the safety of the steam generator, which absolutely requires a water leak detection system with fine sensitivity and response. This study describes the structure and leak classification of the HAMMER (Korea Advanced Liquid Metal Reactor) steam generator, compared with other classifications, and explains the effects of leak development. The requirements and experimental situations for the development of the KALIMER acoustic leak detection system (KADS) which detects micro leaks, not intermediate leaks, are introduced. We proposed four frequency bands, 1∼8kHz, 8∼20kHz, 20∼40kHz and 40∼200kHz, split effectively for analyzing the detected acoustic leak signals obtained from the sodium-water reaction model or water model in the mock-up system.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 Piezoelectric micropower generator 연구에서 주로 사용되던 Schottky 다이오드 대신 역방향 누설전류가 아주 작은 PAD1과 같은 다이오드를 사용함으로써 기계적 에너지로부터 전기적 에너지로의 에너지 변환효율을 획기적으로 증가시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다. 시뮬레이션을 위해 실험결과를 초기 값으로 한 최적화된 등가회로를 구성하였으며, 실험과 PSPICE 시뮬레이션을 통해 분석한 결과 에너지 변환효율은 최고 100% 이상 증가됨을 알 수 있었다. 특히 미세한 진동으로부터의 매우 작은 기계적 에너지를 이용하는 경우에는 PAD1과 같이 역방향 누설전류가 아주 작은 다이오드를 이용해야만 전기에너지로의 변환이 가능함을 증명하였다.

Effects of Microstructure on the Fretting Wear of Inconel 690 Steam Generator Tube

  • The effects of microstructure on fretting wear were investigated in Inconel 690 tube. The microstructure observation indicated that the solution annealing temperature and time affected the grain size of the Inconel 690 tubes. The carbide morphology, along grain boundaries, was mainly affected by thermal treatment time and temperature. The wear test results showed that specimens with larger grain size and with coarse carbides along grain boundaries had better wear resistance. Cracks were found in specimens with carbides along the grain boundary, while few cracks were found in carbide free specimens. It seemed that the carbides on grain boundary assisted crack formation and propagation in carbide containing specimens. On the other hand, the micro-hardness of specimen did not have a major role in fretting wear. It could be inferred from the SEM images of worn surfaces that the main wear mechanism of carbide containing specimen was delamination, while that of carbide free specimen was abrasion.

  • A micro cyclone combustor was developed to be used as a heat source of thermoelectric power generator (TPG). The cyclone combustor was designed so that fuel and air were supplied to the combustion chamber separately. The mixing and flow characteristics in the combustor were investigated numerically. The global equivalence ratio (${\Phi}$), defined using the fuel and air flow rates, was introduced to examine the flow features of the combustor. The mixing of fuel and air inside the combustor could be well understood using the fuel concentration distribution. It was found that the weak recirculating zone was formed upper the fuel-supplying tube in case of ${\Phi}$ < 1.0. In addition, it was found that small regions that have a negative axial velocity exist near the fuel injection ports. It is assumed that these negative axial velocity regions can stabilize a flame inside the micro cyclone combustor.

  • 인공위성의 각종 탑재체에 의해 발생하는 미소진동은 위성의 고정밀 지향도를 떨어뜨리고 고해상도 카메라를 탑재하고 있는 다목적 실용위성 같은 경우, 위성 영상의 해상도 및 분해능을 저하시킨다. 본 논문에서는 인공위성체 미소진동의 가장 큰 요인 중의 하나로 작용하는 반작용휠의 미소진동 측정 기술, 동특성 해석 및 모델링 기술을 소개하고 이의 진동 저감 방법 등을 모색하였다. 이러한 기술들을 토대로 하여 반작용휠과 유사한 동특성을 가지는 진동 발생기를 제작, 미소진동을 측정하였고 수동 감쇄 재료를 이용하여 이를 저감 시키는 실험을 수행하였다.

  • Micro hydraulic power generation of which the output is less or equal to a 100kW is attracting considerable attention. This is because of its small, simple, renewable, and abundant energy resources. By using a small hydropower generator of which main concept is based on using the different water pressure levels in pipe lines, energy which was initially wasted by use of a reducing valve at the end of the pipeline, is collected by turbine in the hydropower generator. A propeller shaped hydroturbine has been used in order to use this renewable pressure energy. In this study, in order to acquire basic design data of tubular type hydraulic turbine, output power, head, efficiency characteristics due to the flow coefficient are examined in detail. Moreover influences of pressure and velocity distributions with the variations of runner vane angle on turbine performance are investigated by using a commercial CFD code.

  • In this paper, the switching mode conversion type pulse charger by fly-back converter method for lead battery of the solar cell generator equipment is proposed. And we propose the control circuit and design method of insulated switching mode convert type pulse charger by fly-back convert method in the lead battery. The proposed system can minimize the current consumption by digital pulse. Also the proposed system can generate the constant 10[KHz] frequency, transmit the signal with main control system in the power control system. And it supervises the state of lead battery using one chip micro processor. The proposed the switching mode conversion type pulse charger by the fly-back converter method can charge fast and stabilize lead battery with nominal value 12[V], 20[AH]. Also we propose the design procedure of the power control circuit for turn ratio of fly-back inductor and determining method of values such as the charging current, bulk current, partial current, over current value and fixed charging voltage. The experiment results for the voltage and current wave for partial, bulk, over and fixed charging period show the good charging effect and performance. And the PCB and internal coupling diagram of the switching mode conversion type pulse charger by fly-back converter method is presented.
