  • Yeast-Carbon-Base배지로 조성된 glucose용액을 Saccharomyces bananus로 pH 3.5 $25^{\circ}C$, 400rpm, 그리고 발효 초기 24시간 동안만 35L/h로 통기시키면서 64시간만에 alcohol 발효를 완료시켜, 발효 중 생성된 휘발성 성분과 이들 발효액을 여러 조건에서 숙성($25^{\circ}C$에서 6주, $13^{\circ}C$에서 12주, $35^{\circ}C$에서 24시간)시켰을 때 휘발성 성분의 변화를 GC-MS로 분석하였다. 20개의 ester, 14개의 alcohol, 5개의 aldehyde, 5개의 ketone, 5개의 lactone, 2개의 함황성분과 1개의 hydrocarbon이 발효중 생성되었다. Ethyl 2-hydroxy-4-methyl pentanoate, ethyl succinate, nonanol과 phenylacetaldehyde 등이 발효액의 저장 중 새로이 생성되었다. Ester는 일반적으로 저장 중 증가되었고, $13^{\circ}C$에서 12주간 저장된 시료에서 가장 크게 증가되어 본 실험에서 분석된 22개의 ester 중 17개가 증가하였다. $35^{\circ}C$에서 24시간 저장된 시료에서는 13개의 증가된 ester 중 ethyl 9-hexadecenoate의 증가가 가장 현저하였다. Aldehyde는 $35^{\circ}C$ 저장에서 크게 증가 되었으나 $13^{\circ}C$ 저장에서는 감소되었다. Isobutanal, benzaldehyde와 phenylaceraldehyde는 $35^{\circ}C$ 저장에서 현저하게 증가하였다. Alcohol과 lactone은 저장 중 감소되고 ketone은 증가되었다.

  • A number of 4-hydroxy-2H (or alkyl)-N-(3-aralkyl-2-thio-1-hydantoinyl)-1, 2-benzothiazine3-carboxamide 1, 1-dioxides were synthesized through the reaction of 4-hydroxy-2H (or alkyl)1, 2-benzothiazine-3-carboxylic methyl ester 1, 1-dioxide and 1-amino-2-thio-3-aralkyl-4-imidazolones in xylene. The compounds synthesized were screened for antinflammatory effect on carrageenin-induced edema in rat and for analgesic effect on acetic acid-induced Writhing syndrome in mice. Most compounds were inhibots of carrageenin-induced rat foot edema and some showed significant antinflammatory activity comparable to that of indomethacin and significant analgesic activity comparable to that of indomethacin and aspirin.

  • The hexane fractions from methanolic extracts of Anetheum graveolens L. (Umbelliferae) and Acorus gramineus Soland. (Araceae) revealed potent inhibitory activities against the resistance of multi-drug resistant Staphylococcus aureus SA2 when combined with ampicillin (Am) or chloramphenicol (Cm). As active principles, carvone and the liquid mixture containing carvone from Anetheum graveolens L. and a liquid mixture mainly consisting of benzoic acid phenyl-methyl ester (benzyl benzoate) from Acorus gramineus Soland. were identified. They showed resistance inhibition at the level of 20-50${\mu}g$/ml when combined with 100 or ${\mu}g$/ml of Am or Cm, respectively.

  • Thirty six 5,8-dimethoxy-1,4-naphthoquinone derivatives, which bear unsaturated alkyl side chain with ester bond, were synthesized and tested cytotoxic activity on L1210 cells a nd antitumor activity against ICR mice bearing S-180 cells. It could be recognized that the cytotoxicities of naphthoquinones with R1, being methyl and propyl (IV1~24) were not enhanced by replacing the alkanoyls with alkenoyls. In contrast, the introduction of the alkenoyl moieties on the compounds with $R_1$=hexyl (IV25~36) resulted in the enhancement of their cytotoxicities. Replacement of alkanoyl group with an alkenoyl group generally increased the T/C value of the mice bearing S-180 cells.

  • New photovoltaic donor materials, 4,4'-(2,2'-bithiazole-5,5'-diyl)bis(N,N-diphenylbenzenamine) (BDT) and 4-(2,2'-bithiazol-5-yl)-N,N-diphenylbenzenamine (BT), were synthesized. A solution processable triphenylamine-containing bithiazole (BDT and BT) was blended with a [6,6]-phenyl $C_{61}$ butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) acceptor to study the performance of small-molecule-based bulk heterojunction (BHJ) photovoltaic devices. Optimum device performance was achieved after annealing, for device with a BDT/PCBM ratio of 1:4. The open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current, and power conversion efficiency of the device with the aforementioned BDT/PCBM ratio were 0.51 V, 4.10 $mA\;cm^{-2}$, and 0.68%, respectively, under simulated AM 1.5 solar irradiation (100 $mW\;cm^{-2}$).

  • We fabricate organic single crystal nanowire heterojunction p-n diode poly(3-hexylthiophene)(P3HT) and from Phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester(PCBM) using by liquid-bridge mediated nanotransfer molding(LB-nTM) method. LB-nTM has been reported an one step direct printing method for making well-aligned nanowire arrays. Moreover, multi-patterning nanostructures can be fabricated with the consecutive printing process. As a result, it is possible to make simple and basic concept of heterojunction devices such as lateral organic p-n nanojunction diode. P3HT/PCBM nanowires heterojunction diode has rectifying behavior with on/off ratios of ~20.

  • A novel iridoid glucoside was isolated from the root of Phlomis umbrosa Turcz. (Labiatae) 'Sok-dan' and named as Umbroside. It was obtained as amorphous powder and its molecular formula is C_{19}H_{18}O_{12}$. By enzyme hydrolysis it produced a stable aglucone and ${\beta}-D-glucose$. The structure of Umbroside was determined as 8-O-acetyl shanzhiside methyl ester. Antitumor activity of Labiatae plants was also tested.

  • 맨드라미의 물추출 물질의 지방산과 아미노산의 조성을 조사한 결과 지방산은 모두 14종이 검출되었으며 특히 $C_{16:2}$가 되어 있었으며 필수지방산도 모두 포함되어 있었다. 미지의 물질을 확인한 결과 tricosanoic acid, lignoceric acid, cerotic acid, 1, 1'-[3-(2-cyclopentylethylidene)-1, 5-pentanediyl] biscyclopentane의 methyl ester 등을 함유하고 있었다. 아미노산은 모두 16종이 검출되었고 산성아미노산의

수중에서 시멘트 모르타르의 재료분리저항성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Material Resistance Against Segregation of Cement Mortar in Water)

  • An underwater grout on material resistance against segregation in water were studied by water soluble polymer (methyl cellulose and acrylic acid ester and styrene). The mechanical properties of the grout agents were investigated through the observation of the microstructure and application of fracture mechanic. When the soluble polymer MC+AAES added with 0.6 wt% to the underwater grout agents the compressive strength, flexural strength and Young's modulus were about 58 MPa, 10 MPa and 3.2 GPa respectively, and critical stress intensity was about 0.8 MNm-1.5. It can be considered that the strength improvement and fracture toughness increase may be due to the pore decrease and bonding force by material resistance against segregation in water.

  • $TiO_2$의 계면적을 넓힘으로써 태양전지의 특성을 향상시키기 위해 정렬도가 높은 나노 기공 (nanopore, NP) 이산화티타늄 ($TiO_2$)을 이용하여 복합 태양전지를 제작하였다. Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA)를 사용한 nanoimprinting lithography (NIL) 기술을 이용하여 NP $TiO_2$를 제작하였으며. 광활성층으로는 poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT)와 [6,6]-phenyl $C_{61}$ butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM)을 사용하였다. NP $TiO_2$를 이용한 태양전지의 전력변환효율이 1.49%로 표면이 고른 소자의 효율인 1.18%에 비해 26% 가량 증가하였다. 이와 같은 효율 향상의 원인은 $TiO_2$와 광활성층의 계면이 증가되어 전하의 생성과 분리가 용이해졌기 때문인 것으로 사료된다.
