In this paper, we have introduced a Code Division Multiplexing transmission method which is similar to OFDM and analyze ECCM performances. We have verified CDM transmission method has a good LPI performance and a feasible ECCM performance. This capability could be useful for reduction of RF interference which occurs when many equipments operate densely in small area. The equipment that uses CDM transmission method supports variable transmission rate and order-wire effectively and conveniently to user. This CDM method has similar ECCM performance comparing to serial DS method. CDM method has good multi-path signal processing capability and could be useful for mobile communication environment.

This paper considers a hybrid PWM(pulse width modulation) method which can be used in the brushless DC motor controller. Due to many disadvantages of bipolar PWM method, unipolar PWM method is mostly used in industrial field. In constant speed control application, the unipolar PWM method shows the good performance of speed control. But in the wide range of speed control application, it shows poor performance especially when deceleration is needed. So we propose the hybrid PWM method that utilizes both of bipolar and unipolar PWM methods according to the sign of the speed controller output. Simulation and experimental result show that the proposed method improves speed control performance of the brushless DC motor which is applied to the industrial sewing machines.

In this paper, we propose the novel tracking method which uses the weighted discriminative correlation filter (DCF). We also propose the PSPR instead of conventional PSR as tracker performance evaluation method. The proposed tracking method uses multiple DCF to estimates the target position. In addition, our proposed method reflects more weights on the correlation response of the tracker which is expected to have more performance using PSPR. While existing multi-DCF-based tracker calculates the final correlation response by directly summing correlation responses from each tracker, the proposed method acquires the final correlation response by weighted combining of correlation responses from the selected trackers robust to given environment. Accordingly, the proposed method can provide high performance tracking in various and complex background compared to multi-DCF based tracker. Through a series of tracking experiments for various video data, the presented method showed better performance than a single feature-based tracker and also than a multi-DCF based tracker.

Due to the tremendous amount and its rapid increase of network traffic, the performance of network equipments are becoming an important issue. Network filtering is one of primary functions affecting the performance of the network equipment such as a firewall or a load balancer to process the packet. In this paper, we propose a cache based tri method to improve the performance of the existing tri method of searching for network filtering. When several packets are exchanged at a time between a server and a client, the tri method repeats the same search procedure for network filtering. However, the proposed method can avoid unnecessary repetition of search procedure by exploiting cache so that the performance of network filtering can be improved. We performed network filtering experiments for the existing method and the proposed method. Experimental results showed that the proposed method could process more packets up to 790,000 per second than the existing method. When the size of cache list is 11, the proposed method showed the most outstanding performance improvement (18.08%) with respect to memory usage increase (7.75%).
In this paper, an adaptive control method is presented to guarantee the ultimate boundedness of uncertain systems with partially known uncertainty bounds. This method, with a conventional linear compensator, is used to improve the performance of the trajectory tracking of a robotic manipulator with uncertainties. The proposed method is simulated under several different environments, and its performance is compared with the computed torque method. The simulation results show that the proposed method is well suited for high-performance operation of uncertain robotic systems.
This paper explains the Japanese present situations relevant to the fire resistance performance. Performance-based fire provisions was introduced in 1998 for the first time when the Building Standard Law was amended. However, performance-based fire resistance design had been used since long before the official introduction of performance-based provisions. A Comprehensive Technology Development Project of Ministry of Construction from 1982 to 1986 established a technical basis for performance-based fire safety engineering in Japan. A system of calculation methods for fire resistance verification was prescribed in the Ministry Notification in 2000 utilizing the results of this project as a background. This method, referred to as the Fire Resistance Verification Method (FRVM), is the standard method to verify the fire resistance performance of principal building parts such as columns, beams, and walls of steel, concrete, or wood structured buildings. For tall buildings, however, more advanced method for performance verification is often necessary because new building materials or structural systems are often used for these buildings. An example project of tall building owned by a major newspaper company is presented in this paper. Advanced thermal deformation analysis is executed to secure the fire resistance of the building.

In this paper, we present a comparative performance evaluation of the sampling frequency synchronization method that eliminates the initial sampling frequency offset (SFO) to reduce the overall synchronization time in Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) receivers. To satisfy the advanced synchronization performance requirements of DRM receivers, we introduce the conventional DRM synchronization method (Method 1) and another method (Method 2), which does not perform the initial sampling frequency synchronization in the conventional synchronization method (both methods are mentioned later in this paper). To demonstrate the effectiveness of the performance evaluation, analytical expressions for frame detection are derived and simulations are provided. Based on the simulations and numerical analysis, our result shows that Method 2, with a negligible performance loss, is robust to the effects of the initial sampling frequency synchronization even if SFO is present in the DRM signal. In addition, we verify that the inter-cell differential correlation used between reference cells is robust to the effect of the initial SFO.

A distributed control method is proposed to improve the power sharing performance of bidirectional distributed generators and the voltage regulation performance of a DC bus in a DC microgrid. Voltage sensitivity analysis based on power flow analysis is conducted to analyze the structural characteristics of a DC microgrid. A distributed control method using a voltage sensitivity matrix is proposed on the basis of this analysis. The proposed method uses information received through the communication system and performs the droop gain variation method and voltage shift method without additional PI controllers. This approach achieves improved power sharing and voltage regulation performance without output transient states. The proposed method is implemented through a laboratory-scaled experimental system consisting of two bidirectional distributed generators, namely, a load and a non-dispatchable distributed generator in a four-bus ring-type model. The experimental results show improved power sharing accuracy and voltage regulation performance.

Sought a set of component performance lines from experiment data or some data supplied in the engine manufacturer to improve the traditional scaling method and suggested a map scaling method that construct component performance lines newly using polynomial equations of MATLAB program. In this study, applied technique that is proposed newly to PT6A-62 that verified technique that is proposed newly using experiment data of small. size turboshaft engine, and is actuality aircraft engine. In identification of the component maps of the turboprop engine, the simulated performance using the proposed scaling method was compared with the real engine performance data and the performance using the traditional scaling method.
In CDGPS, ambiguity resolution is determined by the performance of a floating solution, and thus, the performance needs to be improved. In the case of precise positioning at a stationary position, the batch method using multiple measurements is used for the accuracy improvement of a position. The position accuracy performance of a floating solution is outstanding, but it has a problem of high computation cost because all measurements are used. In this study, to improve the floating solution performance of the initial static user in CDGPS, a floating solution method using a recursive filter was implemented. A recursive filter estimates the position solution of the current epoch using the position solution of up to the previous epoch and the pseudorange measurement of the current epoch. The computation cost of the floating solution method using a recursive filter was found to be similar to that of the epoch-by-epoch method. Also, based on actual GPS signals, the floating solution performance was found to be similar to that of the batch method. The floating solution using a recursive filter could significantly improve the performance of the prompt initial position and ambiguity resolution of the initial static user.
