Manufacturing on the Door Built-in Metal Pattern using Electroforming with Hologram (전주기법 홀로그램이 부가된 금속패턴 붙박이 도어 제작)

  • I developed a high-quality metal door with a hologram-pattern design using a high-speed electroforming process. In this study, the major processes were master production, conducting grant, nickel-sulfamate acid electroforming, ablation treatment, and final dressing. The processing system was provided with a nickel sulfamate pole, and a rotary-pole PP-plating jig in a circular tank. This approach could reduce defects and errors, as much as possible, by its use of a hologram pattern to create the master of a metal door. The thin-sheet metal-creation process for the door built-in metal pattern using electroforming with hologram was successful.

Effect of Coolant Flow Pattern on Metal Temperature of Combustion Chamber (엔진 내 냉각수 유동형태가 연소실 벽면온도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The effect of coolant flow pattern on the metal temperature of the combustion chamber was studied in 1.5L and 1.8L gasoline engines. One of the main important points in the design of the water jacket is the increase of the coolant flow velocity. In this paper, the water jackets of the cylinder head and the cylinder block were visualized for the purpose of improving the coolant flow pattern. By the use of this technique, the optimal design of the size and th location of the water transfer fole was possible. And, to lower the metal temperatures of the thermally critical parts, the drilled water passages were employed. To investigate of effect of the improved flow pattern and the drilled water passages, the metal temperatures of the combustion chamber were measured. As a result of the temperature measurement, it was found out that both the change of flow pattern and the drilled water passages have significant effect on the reduction of the peak metal temperature.

  • Current thin film process using memory device fabrication process use expensive processes such as manufacturing of photo mask, coating of photo resist, exposure, development, and etching. However, direct printing technology has the merits about simple and cost effective processes because inks are directly injective without mask. And also, this technology has the advantage about fabrication of fine pattern line on various substrates such as PCB, FCPB, glass, polymer and so on. In this work, we have fabricated the fine and thick metal pattern line for the electronic circuit board using metal ink contains Ag nano-particles. Metal lines are fabricated by two types of printing methods. One is a conventional printing method which is able to quick fabrication of fine pattern line, but has various difficulties about thick and high resolution DPI(Dot per Inch) pattern lines because of bulge and piling up phenomenon. Another(Second) methods is sequential printing method which has a various merits of fabrication for fine, thick and high resolution pattern lines without bulge. In this work, conductivities of metal pattern line are investigated with respect to printing methods and pattern thickness. As a result, conductivity of thick pattern is about several un.

  • Lost wax technique of casting wax patterns has been used principally to make metal frameworks of removable partial dentures. Since the development of digital technology and CAD, metal frameworks can be built through digital surveying and framework designing. Many cases proved that resin patterns made by CAD printing method were well adapted to internal oral structure and final metal frameworks also showed good internal adaptation as well. The metal frameworks of a removable partial denture were made by both lost wax technique and CAD technique and were applied to a patient with severe alveolar bone loss. Using CAD data and fit checker, internal adaptation of both metal frameworks were evaluated by comparing the gap between surveyed crown and its structure. This study is to prove that metal frameworks by both techniques showed adaptation that can be applied in clinical field.

  • 반도체 physical layout design rule이 작아짐에 따라 Proximity effect와 overlay가 Pattern 구현에 크게 영향을 미치고 있다. Metal layer와 contact의 부족한 overlay margin으로 overlay 불량이 발생하고, 감소한 space margin으로 인해 bridge와 같은 문제가 나타난다. 따라서, resolution을 향상시키고, 최소한의 overlay margin을 확보함으로써 미세 pattern의 구현을 가능하게 한다. 이를 위해 OPC와 attPSM 같은 분해능향상기술이 사용된다. 그러나 attPSM의 사용은 원하지 않는 pattern이 생성되는 sidelobe와 같은 문제가 발생한다. 따라서 serial image simulation올 통해 추출한 rule을 rule-based correction에 적용하여 sidelobe현상을 방지한다. 그리고 overlay margin 부족으로 나타나는 문제는 metal layer와 contact overlap되는 영역의 line edge를 확장하고, rule checking을 통해 최소한의 space margin을 확보하여 해결한다 따라서 overlay error를 rule-based correction을 사용하여 효과적으로 방지한다.

  • Metal line을 형성하는 방법에는 그라비아 인쇄, 잉크젯 인쇄, photo 공정 후 박막 증착 공정 등을 많이 사용한다. 본 연구에서는 Micro-imprinting 공정과 DFR photo lithography 공정을 통해 음각의 미세한 pattern을 형성한 후 sputtering과 printing을 이용하여 pattern의 filling을 통해 metal line을 구현하는 것을 목표로 하였다. Pattern을 형성한 후 RIE 공정을 통해 기판 표면의 친수성 처리를 하고, SAM 공정을 통해 코팅 막의 소수성 처리를 하였다. Sputtering과 전면 프린팅 및 건조 후 strip 공정을 통해 metal line을 형성하고, 이에 대한 표면 특성과 전기적 특성을 분석하였다.

And also, this technology has the advantage about fabrication of fine pattern line on various substrates such as FPCB, PCB, glass, polymer and so on. In this work, we have fabricated the fine and thick metal pattern line on flexible PCB substrate for the next generation electronic circuit using Ag nano-particles contained ink. To improve the line tolerance on flexible PCB, metal lines are fabricated by sequential prinitng method. Sequential printing method has vari-ous merits about fine, thick and high resolution pattern lines without bulge.

  • Nano-sized metal patterns were successfully fabricated on flexible PET substrate using nanoimprint lithography. 70nm line and space PMMA resist pattern was formed on PET substrate without residual layer by 'artial filling effect' and 20nm thin Cr metal layer was deposited by e-beam evaporation. Then, PMMA resist was selectively removed by acetone and 70nm narrow Cr pattern was formed.

  • In metal casting process, it is very difficult to predict the form accuracy of cast part and reduce repeatability error. In this study, the variations of form accuracy were measured in the process of metal cast prototyping, where RP part is manufactured from CAD model in the first, and then, wax part is cast in the vacuum environment using the RP part as master model, and finally metal prototype is cast using ceramic mold and the wax part as pattern. To investigate the variations of form accuracy, the averages and standard deviations of error distribution of the parts measured by 3D scanner were compared. It was observed that the biggest shrinkage is generated during the extraction of wax part in the second step and the biggest deterioration of form accuracy is generated during the metal part casting in the last step.
