Purpose: This study aimed to test a hypothetical model of Korean nurses' patient safety management activities using meta-analytic path analysis. Methods: A systematic review, meta-analysis, and meta-analytic path analysis were conducted following the PRISMA and MOOSE guidelines. Seventy-four studies for the meta-analysis and 92 for the meta-analytic path analysis were included. The R software program (Version 3.6.3) was used for data analysis. Results: Four variables out of 49 relevant variables were selected in the meta-analysis. These four variables showed large effect sizes (ESr = .54) or median effect sizes (ESr = .33~.40) with the highest k (number of studies) in the individual, job, and organizational categories. The hypothetical model for the meta-analytic path analysis was established using these variables and patient safety management activities. Twelve hypothetical paths were set and tested. Finally, the perception of the importance of patient safety management and patient safety competency directly affected patient safety management activities. In addition, self-efficacy, the perception of the importance of patient safety management, patient safety competency, and patient safety culture, indirectly affected patient safety management activities. Conclusion: Self-efficacy, the perception of the importance of patient safety management, patient safety competency, and the organization's patient safety culture should be enhanced to improve nurses' patient safety management activities.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the outcome variables of nursing unit managers' transformational leadership and to test a hypothetical model using meta-analytic path analysis. Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted in accordance with PRISMA guidelines. Data analysis, conducted using R version 3.6.2 software, included 49 studies for the meta-analysis and 119 studies for meta-analytic path analysis. Results: In the meta-analysis, four out of 32 outcome variables were selected. These four variables were empowerment, nursing performance, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment, which showed larger effect sizes than the median and more than five k. The hypothetical model for the meta-analytic path analysis was established by using these four variables and transformational leadership. A total of 22 hypothetical paths including nine direct effects and 13 indirect effects were set and tested. The meta-analytic path analysis showed that transformational leadership had direct effects on the four variables. Finally, eight direct effects, 12 indirect effects, and six mediating effects were statistically significant, and the hypothetical model was verified. Conclusion: Nursing unit managers can use the transformational leadership to improve empowerment, nursing performance, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment of nurses. This study empirically showed the importance of transformational leadership of nursing managers. This finding will be used as evidence to develop strategies for enhancing transformational leadership, empowerment, nursing performance, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment in nursing science and practice.

Recently, in the research on online environment such as e-commerce, and internet banking, the conceptual discussion about trust and risk in an effort to explain a user's behavior is briskly underway. Most of the research on trust and risk are setting up causal relationship without clearly establishing the relationship between trust and risk. Accordingly this study conducted a meta-analysis in order to consider the relationship between trust and risk and to take a look at the difference in causal relationship. This study includes a total of 18 research papers which are setting up the causal relationship between trust and risk in online environment among the research papers published in domestic academic journals since 2000. Result of the meta-analysis, showed that the effect size was -0.367 in the path from trust to risk; -0.131 in the path from risk to trust; -0.276 in the bidirectional path between trust and risk. In addition, this study was able to confirm through literature review that there appeared a high effect of path in case where trust and risk were measured by an uni-dimensional concept than by a multi-dimensional concept.

A Meta-analysis refers to a statistical literature synthesis method from the quantitative results of many known empirical studies. Recently, the convergence of knowledge-based society and, information telecommunication technologies has a rapid impact on politics, economics and various fields. A meta-analysis was conducted to identify the relationships among satisfaction, trust, and loyalty in e-commerce studies. A total of 57 research papers published in Korean academic journals during 2002 and 2013 were reviewed and the causal relationships among satisfaction, trust, and loyalty in e-commerce were established. The result of the meta-analysis might be summarized that the highest effect size (r =. 591) was in the path from the satisfaction to the trust. The second biggest effect size (r =. 554) was found in the path between the satisfaction to the loyalty. The third biggest effect size (r =. 552) was found in the path between the trust to the loyalty. By the way, the smallest effect size (r =. 484) was found in the path between the trust to the satisfaction.

Meta-analysis is a statistical integration method that delivers an opportunity to overview the entire result by integrating and analyzing many quantitative research results. This study will find meaningful mediator variables for criterion variables that affect purchase and repurchase intentions in e-commerce, on the basis of the results of a meta-analysis. We reviewed a total of 114 e-commerce studies published in Korean journals between 2000 and 2014, where a cause and effect relationship is established between variables that are specified in the conceptual model of this study. In this meta-analysis, the path between trust and purchase intention showed the biggest effect size. The second biggest effect size was found in the path between commitment and purchase intention, while the smallest one was obtained with perceived. Thus, we present the theoretical and practical implications of these results and discuss the differences among these results through a comparative analysis with previous studies.

A meta-analysis is a statistical literature synthesis method that provides the opportunity to view the research context by combining and analyzing the quantitative results of many empirical studies. The technology acceptance model (TAM) has been the subjects of a great deal of MIS research in the last two decades and now also has been continuously studied. Recently, the convergence of knowledge information society and information telecommunication technologies has a rapid impact on politics, economics and various fields. The biggest issue in the information communication and information systems fields is smart. Therefore, we conducted a meta-analysis research on the behavioral intention of smart phone users based on technology acceptance model. Also, this study was targeted a total of 50 research papers that are setting up the causal relationship in TAM among the research papers published in domestic academic journals since 2005. The result of the meta analysis, showed that the effect size was 0.48 in the path from perceived usefulness to behavioral intention, it showed that the effect size was 0.46 in the path from perceived ease of use to behavioral intention. And, it showed that the effect size was 0.46 in the path from perceived ease of use to perceived usefulness. Also, it showed that the effect size was 0.61 in the path from attitude to behavioral intention. Based on the results, it was discussed the difference through comparative analysis with previous research.

A Meta-analysis refers to a statistical literature synthesis method from the quantitative results of many known empirical studies. We conducted a meta-analysis and review of external factors based on the technology acceptance model for Smartphone-related researches. This study surveyed 106 research papers that established causal relationships in the technology acceptance model published in Korean academic journals during 2008 and 2013. The result of the meta-analysis might be summarized that the playfulness has the highest effect size in the path from external factors to the perceived usefulness, with the effect size(0.536). Also the self efficacy showed the highest effect size(0.626) in the path from external factors to the perceived ease of use. Based on these findings, several theoretical and practical implications were suggested and discussed with the difference from previous researches.

This study focused a total of 25 research papers that established causal relationships in between perceived value, risk and behavioral intention on e-commerce published in Korean academic journals during 2000 and 2014. The result of the meta-analysis might be summarized that the effect size in the path from the perceived value to the behavioral intention with the effect size 0.508. Also, it showed that the effect size in the path from perceived value to the behavioral intention with the effect size -0.251. Based on these findings, several theoretical and practical implications were suggested and discussed with the difference from previous researches.

A Meta-analysis is a statistical literature synthesis method that provides the opportunity to view the research context by combining and analyzing the quantitative results of many empirical studies. We conducted a Meta-analysis research on the behavioral intention of information technology based on the theory of planned behavior. This study was targeted a total of 36 research papers that are setting up the causal relationship in the theory of planned behavior among the research papers published in domestic academic journals before 2013. The result of the Meta-analysis, showed that the effect size was 0.571 in the path from attitude toward behavior to behavioral intention, it showed that the effect size was 0.381 in the path from subjective norm to behavioral intention. And, it showed that the effect size was 0.481 in the path from perceived behavioral control to behavioral Intention. Also, it showed that the effect size was 0.421 in the path from behavioral Intention to behavior.

Big data analysis refers the ability to store, manage and analyze collected data from an existing database management tool. Thus, meta-analysis is a statistical integration method that delivers an opportunity to overview the entire result of integrating and analyzing many quantitative research results. Commonly, factors of metabolic syndrome can be defined as abdominal obesity, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, triglycerides, and high density lipoprotein cholesterol. In this meta-analysis, we concluded that the path between pre and post of the fasting blood glucose had the largest effect size of (r = -.324). Therefore, the effect of soybean food intervention showed an explanatory power of 10%. The second biggest effect size (r = .256) was found the path between pre and post in the waist circumference. Unfortunately, soybean food intake showed no improvement on abdominal obesity. Thus, we present the theoretical and practical implications of these results.
