Today, the handicapped or old people require continuous care, but there are a lot of practical difficulties. In this paper, the system measuring health conditions of the handicapped or old people (pulse and temperature) is developed. If urgent health conditions occur, measurement values are delivered to doctors or close family members using SMS (Short Message Service) of cellular phone. In the developed system, Pulse rate is measured by sensing bloodstream using high luminance LED and CdS illumination sensors. Body temperature is also measured by contactless temperature sensor. Also, the measured values are transmitted to a server computer using Zigbee communications. Also, the measured values the average of measurements and the time are saved. The wireless healthcare system is designed to help the emergency for the handicapped and old people by using SMS.

The reliability of broadcasting over vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) is one of the most critical factors for driving safety applications. There exists limitations to improve the reliability of broadcast transmissions in saturated VANETs where previous proposals in literature tackle the problem by heuristically adapting the size of the contention window (CW). This paper considers improving the reliability by proposing a new probability model based on the counting methods of permutations and combinations, which counts all the possible cases of broadcast failures in a single-hop broadcast transmission for a given CW. From the model, we calculate the best CW size given the number of contention nodes, which significantly improves the reliability and satisfying the timely dissemination of emergency broadcasting messages. Through extensive VANET simulations with varying densities, we show that our model maintains near 100 percent success rate for single-hop broadcast as well as multi-hop broadcast (e.g. 40 hops) and achieves minimal broadcast delay.
The ATIS(Advance Traveler Information System), as one part of ITS, is a system aiming to disperse traffic volume on transportation networks by providing traffic information to transportation users on pre-trip and en-route trips. One of tools in ATIS is usage of VMS(Variable Message Signs). It provides to the drivers with direct information about state of processing direction. which is considered as the most effective method in ATIS. The purposes of providing VMS information are classified two categories. One is to provide simple information to drivers for their convenience. The other is to manage traffic demand to improve transportation network performance. However, for more effective and reliable VMS information, several strategies should be taken into account. The main VMS management strategy is "Traffic Diversion Strategy for minimum delay" when traffic congestion or incident are occurred. For effective operation. firstly. reasonable diversion traffic volume is determined by network traffic condition Secondly, it is necessary to make providing information strategy which reflects driver response behavior for controling diversion traffic volume. This paper focuses on the providing real-time route guidance information by VMS when congestion is occurred by the incidents. This sturdy estimates time-dependent system optimal diversion rate that inflects travel time and queue lengths using traffic flow simulation model on base Cellular Automata. In addition, route choice behavior models are developed using binary logit model for traffic information variable by traffic system controller. Finally, this study provides time-dependent VMS massage contents and degree of providing information in order to optimize the traffic flow.

Recently, Information Hiding Technology are becoming increasingly demanding in the field of international security, military and medical image This paper proposes data hiding technique utilizing parity checker for gray level image. many researches have been adopted LSB substitution and XOR operation in the field of steganography for the low complexity, high embedding capacity and high image quality. But, LSB substitution methods are not secure through it's naive mechanism even though it achieves high embedding capacity. Proposed method replaces LSB of each pixel with XOR(between the parity check bit of other 7 MSBs and 1 Secret bit) within one pixel. As a result, stego-image(that is, steganogram) doesn't result in high image degradation. Eavesdropper couldn't easily detect the message embedding. This approach is applying the concept of symmetric-key encryption protocol onto steganography. Furthermore, 1bit of symmetric-key is generated by the self-reference of each pixel. Proposed method provide more 25% embedding rate against existing XOR operation-based methods and show the effect of the reversal rate of LSB about 2% improvement.
The High Level Architecture(HLA) specifies a framework for interoperation between heterogeneous simulators, and Run-Time Infrastructure(RTI) is a implementation of the HLA Interface Specification. The Data Distribution Management(DDM) services, one category of IEEE 1516 HLA/RTI management services, control filters for data transmission and reception of data volume among simulators. In this paper, we propose design concept of DDM and show its implementation for light-weighted RTI. The design concept of DDM is to minimize total amount of message that each federate and a federation process generate using the rate of RTI service execution. The design of our proposed DDM follows that a data transfer mechanism is differently applied as the rate of RTI service execution. A federate usually publishes or subscribes data when it starts. The federate constantly updates the data and modifies associated regions while it continues to advance its simulation time. Therefore, the proposed DDM design provides fast update or region modification in exchange of complex publish and subscribe services. We describe how to process the proposed DDM in IEEE 1516 HLA/RTI and experiment variable scenarios while modifying region, changing overlap ratio, and increasing data volume.
The SIP(Session Initation Protocol) is an application layer protocol that is used to establish, release, and change the call session of the IP telephony. In the SIP signalling networks, when the number of the UA(User Agent) requested the call session increase, the number of messages to be processed by SIP proxy server increase. It often will be caused the overload of the SIP proxy server. In this paper, we proposed the overload control method with a normal queue and a delay queue in the SIP proxy server. When it is estimated the overload of the server by the excess of the high threshold in the normal queue, new INVITE messages will be put into the delay queue to reduce the load of the server. It results in some delay of the call session from the INVITE message. Subsequently when the number of messages in the normal queue is reduced below the low threshold, the INVITE messages in the delay queue is processed. The simulation results showed that the number of the retransmission messages by our proposed method was 45% less than the one by the method with single queue. The results also showed that the average call success rate by the proposed method was 2% higher than the one by the method with single queue.

Open-loop Octonion space-time block code for 4 transmit antenna system is considered and random phases are applied to 4 transmit antennas for physical layer security. When an illegal hacker estimates the random phases of 1 through 4 transmit antennas with maximum likelihood (ML), this letter analyzes the bit error rate (BER) performances versus signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). And the Octonion code in the literature[1] does not have full orthogonality so, this letter employs the perfect orthogonal Octonion code. When the hacker knows that the random phases are 2-PSK constellations and he should estimate all the 4 random phases, the hacking is impossible until 100dB. When the hacker possibly know that some of the random phases, bit error rate goes down to 10-3 so, the transmit message could be hacked.

Objectives: The development of internet programs for smoking cessation was motivated to quit smoking in the large group of smokers. This personalized program consisted of tailored message to consider the smokers characteristics, and contain the informations on the outcomes of smoking cessation and the skills to be used in the quit attempts. The purpose of this study was to develop the internet management program and information push-delivery system for smoking cessation to encourage the personal intention to quit smoking. Methods: We conducted in 3 steps as developing push service to encourage intention of smoking cessation, analyzing problems of smoking cessation program through the pilot test and suggesting improvements by implication stages. Results: This program is delivered for 30 days. if the participants do not fail to quit smoking. The contents consisted of 13 stages which were divided on starting period. practical period, maintenance period and success period. And push service afforded the tailored message to participants using their e-mail. According to the evaluation of pilot test, the problems of internet information push-delivery service for smoking cessation were the over-tasks per visiting time, recording style of participants, difficulty of terms and sentences, lack of visual effects, absence of follow-up module and unsuitable link with main homepage. Improvements were divided on 3 stages by implication period. The first stage included the immediate improvements as improving link with homepage, modifying menu of smoking information and upload file of notice part. The second stage included the short term improvements as alleviating condition of withdrawal, coordinating start stage of retrial, modifying errors of information push-delivery service and addition of educational materials. The third stage included the long term improvements as development of follow-up module, cost-effectiveness evaluation, reducing contents quantity, introduction of checking style, compensation of graphics effect and review for SMS utilization. Design and Implementation of Clipcast Service via Terrestrial DMB This paper outlines the system design and the implementation process of clipcast service that can send clips of video, mp3, text, images, etc. to terrestrial DMB terminals. To provide clipcast service in terrestrial DMB, a separate data channel needs to be allocated and this requires changes in the existing bandwidth allocation. Clipcast contents can be sent after midnight at around 3 to 4 AM, when terrestrial DMB viewship is low. If the video service bit rate is lowered to 352 Kbps and the TPEG service band is fully used, then 320 Kbps bit rate can be allocated to clipcast. To enable clipcast service, the terminals' DMB program must be executed, and this can be done through SMS and EPG. Clipcast service applies MOT protocol to transmit multimedia objects, and transmits twice in carousel format for stable transmission of files. Therefore, 72Mbyte data can be transmitted in one hour, which corresponds to about 20 minutes of full motion video service at 500Kbps data rate. When running the clip transmitted through terrestrial DMB data channel, information regarding the length of each clip is received through communication with the CMS(Content Management Server), then error-free files are displayed. The clips can be provided to the users as preview contents of the complete VOD contents. In order to use the complete content, the user needs to access the URL allocated for that specific content and download the content by completing a billing process. This paper suggests the design and implementation of terrestrial DMB system to provide clipcast service, which enables file download services as provided in MediaFLO, DVB-H, and the other mobile broadcasting systems. Unlike the other mobile broadcasting systems, the proposed system applies more reliable SMS method to activate the DMB terminals for highly stable clipcast service. This allows hybrid, i.e, both SMS and EPG activations of terminals for clipcast services.
Routing technologies considering QoS-based hypermedia services have been seen as a crucial network property in next generation optical Internet (NGOI) networks based on IP/dense-wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM). The huge potential capacity of one single fiber. which is in Tb/s range, can be exploited by applying DWDM technology which transfers multiple data streams (classified and aggregated IP traffics) on multiple wavelengths (classified with QoS-based) simultaneously. So, DWDM-based optical networks have been a favorable approach for the next generation optical backbone networks. Finding a qualified path meeting the multiple constraints is a multi-constraint optimization problem, which has been proven to be NP-complete and cannot be solved by a simple algorithm. The majority of previous works in DWDM networks has viewed heuristic QoS routing algorithms (as an extension of the current Internet routing paradigm) which are very complex and cause the operational and implementation overheads. This aspect will be more pronounced when the network is unstable or when the size of network is large. In this paper, we propose a flooding-based unicast and multicast QoS routing methodologies(YS-QUR and YS-QMR) which incur much lower message overhead yet yields a good connection establishment success rate. The simulation results demonstrate that the YS-QUR and YS-QMR algorithms are superior to the previous routing algorithms.
