As FTAs are introduced, greater trade between the countries results in more disputes between parties to the agreement. Disputes in international trade have previously been settled mainly through international arbitration. However, with the recent rise in negative aspects of the arbitration system, the international community has begun to seek ways to utilize mediation for replacing the arbitration system. Mediation is a dispute settlement system that helps the parties settle their disputes on their own through negotiations. The UNCITRAL, which seeks to unify and develop international trade law, amended the Model Mediation Law in 2018 and adopted the 'United Nations Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation' in August 2019 to enable the adoption of the international settlement agreement. This study analyzes the main contents of the 2018 Model Mediation Law and predicts the potential for the development of international commercial mediation as a dispute settlement procedure for future international trade.
This study aimed to explore how the involvement of environment influenced eight subjects group. Thus, experiment was performed to clarify the role that the attitude of university student consumer plays in the communication process depending on the level of engagement of consumer in the environment and method to raise donation for preservation of environment. Analyzing as per the type of appeal, the mark in altruistic appeal type was higher in all variables than egoistic appeal type. Finally, checking the average mark of each variable as per the condition of donation, the value in unconditional donation was higher than in all variables than conditional donation. It was found 3 groups composed of 2 groups with high level of environmental engagement and 1 group with low level of environmental engagement were suitable to double mediation model among the 8 experimental groups. The group where double mediation model best corresponds than any other group was high level related to environment and the group that contacts altruistic appeal and the message in the form of conditional donation. It was also found that the group that has low level of environmental engagement and contacts egoistic appeal type and conditional donation shows the group that corresponds to double mediation model in the second place among the 8 groups. Finally, it was found that the group that has high level of environmental engagement and is stimulated by altruistic appeal and unconditional donation corresponds to double mediation model. Depending on the condition of message stimulation, unconditional donation is found to better correspond to double mediation model than conditional donation. However, opposite phenomena is observed when the level of environmental engagement is high and appeal type is egoistic. Namely, it was found that conditional donation better corresponds to double mediation model than unconditional donation.
In this article, we introduce an example about 'computers and mathematics education' and discuss its educational meaning. First, we survey two microworlds of Logo and DGS, which are two different representation systems for geometric phenomena. And we propose needs of connecting two microworlds with common perspective. And we suggest a mediation model that connects two representations in a microworld. Using this mediation model(Circle model), we construct a circle, a ellipse, and a cardioid with two different representations. It is important that the mediation model makes it possible that we translate descriptions from one representation into the other, and guess perimeters of planar curves. We also discuss roles and mathematical implications of this mediation model by error case in calculating perimeters of ellipses.
This study analyzes the various roles of social value in the consumption value model in China's mobile e-commerce environment. This is because customers in the Confucian culture area are highly influenced by others in their consumption behavior. However, there has been no consideration of these opinions in the consumption value model. In particular, it was analyzed whether social value has a moderated mediation effects in the path of economic value on customer loyalty. As a result of analyzing 228 pieces of data collected in China, it was found that the economic value is increasing customer loyalty through the entrance of shopping malls, and this indirect effect is affected by social value, and there was a moderated mediation effect. This study is theoretically meaningful in that it is newly elucidating the role of social value in the consumption value model.
This study examines the effects of teacher's emotional intelligence on teacher-child interaction through the sequential mediation effects of efficacy belief about play and professional recognition. Participants were 268 teachers working at kindergartens in Gyeonggi area. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistic, Pearson's product-moment correlation, and the structural equation model using the SPSS 21.0 and Mplus 6.12 program. The main findings of this study are as follows: First, in regards to the relationship between emotional intelligence and teacher-child interaction, a single mediation effect of efficacy belief about play is significant. But there is no significant mediation effect of the professional recognition. Second, in regards to the pathway from emotional intelligence to teacher-child interaction, the professional recognition precedent mediation model is statistically significant, but efficacy belief about the play precedent mediation model is not significant. Based on the results, a concluding discussion was made regarding methods toward enhancing interaction between teacher and child.
Parental attitudes and mediation of children's television viewing has focused primarily on broadcast television, although recent developments in technology have greatly expanded the availability of VCRs in home environment. To build a more comprehensive model of parental mediation of TV Viewing in the new video environment, this article analyzed parental attitudes toward children's video viewing and factors associated with parental mediation of children's video viewing using questionnaire responses from 659 mothers of four to six-year-old children. Both restrictive and evaluative parental mediation were associated with not only parental factors but also contextual factors. Descriptive data on parental attitudes and mediation of children's video viewing were also presented.
Objective: This study aimed to validate a scale which could measure the correct mediation behavior of parents for their children's smart media use. Methods: The subjects were comprised of 514 parents of 5-year-old children. The collected data were analyzed using Jasp. Results: First, in the primary validation process, a total of 19 items and five factors were extracted through exploratory factor analysis. Through secondary validation process, we found that the scale model satisfies the goodness-of-fit evaluation criteria and is valid through confirmatory factor analysis. The newly constructed parents smart media mediation scale in early childhood emerged as a valid and reliable scale. Second, it was found that the more parents pursue 'active mediation', 'instructive mediation', and 'supervision', and avoid 'co-viewing', and 'technical restrictions', the more they had a positive effect on children's smart media usage capabilities. Third, the total score of smart media mediation for young children's parents was found to significantly differentiate young children's smart media overdependence, and self-regulation. Conclusion/Implications: The final smart media mediation scale for young children's parents was composed of 19 items, with five factors: 'co-viewing', 'instructive mediation', 'technical restrictions', 'active mediation', and 'supervision'.
This study examines the mediation effect of teacher-child interactions in the process of the impact of teacher's teaching-efficacy on childhood education institutions and classroom environment on peer-play interactions. We used data from 970 children aged between 49 and 55 months and 970 homeroom teachers from the fifth Korean Child Panel (2012) of the Korea Institute of Child Care and Education. The model fitness was excellent after data were statistically analyzed with model of structure to testify the relationship and effect among teaching efficacy, classroom environment, teacher-child interactions, and peer-play interactions. First, the analysis also showed that the teacher's teaching efficacy did not influence peer-play interactions directly, but gave an indirect effect on the peer-play interactions with the mediation of the teacher-child interactions. Second, the classroom environment directly and indirectly influenced the peer-play interactions with the mediation of the teacher-child interactions. Third, the variable of teacher-child interactions was fully effective as a mediating variable in the process of the teaching efficacy and classroom environment influence on teacher-child interactions. Teaching efficacy and classroom environment influenced the peer-play interactions through the mediation of the teacher-child interactions. The significance of mediation effect of the teacher-child interactions was verified through a bootstrapping method.
Purpose: This study was done to develop a prediction model for postpartum depression by verifying the mediation effect of antepartum depression. A hypothesized model was developed based on literature reviews and predictors of postpartum depression by Beck. Methods: Data were collected from 186 pregnant women who had a gestation period of more than 32 weeks and were patients at a maternity hospital, two obstetrics and gynecology specialized hospitals, or the outpatient clinic of K medical center. Data were analysed with descriptive statistics, correlation and exploratory factor analysis using the SPSS/WIN 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 programs. Results: The final modified model had good fit indices. Parenting stress, antepartum depression and postpartum family support had statistically significant effects on postpartum depression, and defined 74.7% of total explained variance of postpartum depression. Antepartum depression had significant mediation effects on postpartum depression from stress in pregnancy and self-esteem. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that it is important to develop nursing interventions including strategies to reduce parenting stress and improve postpartum family support in order to prevent postpartum depression. Especially, it is necessary to detect and treat antepartum depression early to prevent postpartum depression as antepartum depression can affect postpartum depression by mediating antepartum factors.
This study aimed to identify the multiple mediation effects of job satisfaction and job commitment on the relationships between job stress and workers' safety behavior in terms of compliance and participation, in which the multiple mediation effects are a hybrid of parallel and serial mediating relationships. The multiple mediation model was analyzed using the bootstrapping method through the PROCESS macro tool in SPSS. The results showed that job stress negatively affects job satisfaction, job commitment, and workers' safety behavior, and the relationship between job stress and safety behavior is mediated by both job satisfaction and job commitment. The serial mediation effects of job satisfaction and job commitment were also found to be statistically significant in the regression relationship between job stress and safety behavior. Further analysis of the compliance and participation subdimensions of safety behavior showed similar results. Specifically, the serial mediation effects of job satisfaction and job commitment on participation and compliance behavior were further supported; however, the mediation effect of job satisfaction was not significant, whereas that of job commitment did remain significant. Further research is needed to determine if the mediation effect of job satisfaction found in this study can be extended and generalized to workers in various fields and industries.
