Images displayed on a digital devices under the sunlight are generally perceived to be darker than the original images, which leads to a decrease in visibility. For better visibility, global luminance compensation or tone mapping adaptive to ambient lighting is required. However, the existing methods have limitations in chrominance compensation and are difficult to use in real world due to their heavy computational cost. To solve these problems, this paper propose a piece-wise linear curves (PLECs)-based image enhancement method to improve both luminance and chrominance. At this time, PLECs are regressed through deep learning and implemented in the form of a lookup table to real-time operation. Experimental results show that the proposed method has better visibility compared to the original image with low computational cost.
This study is a user experience research on the current usage of TV multiview and evaluating the usability. From traditional TV viewing to connecting laptop or mobile devices, the scope of using TV has expanded and evolved to multipurpose. Utilizing the multiview feature offers new TV experiences, but research on its usability has not been actively conducted yet. In this research, a case study and survey were held prior to usability testing to identify user needs and behavior of TV multiview. After reviewing the results, we ran a task-based usability testing and in-depth interview. As a result, users preferred different ways of accessing and using multiview based on their situation, and the current user interface needed improvement for easier, intuitive use. This study is expected to contribute to the development of improving user experience in TV multiview.

Recently, the transformer model used in natural language processing is also applied to the image super resolution field, showing good performance. However, these transformer based models have a disadvantage that they are difficult to use in small mobile devices because they are complex and have many learning parameters and require high hardware resources. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a knowledge distillation technique that can effectively reduce the size of a transformer based super resolution model. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that by applying the proposed technique to the student model with reduced number of transformer blocks, performance similar to or higher than that of the teacher model could be obtained.
Storytelling which is part of human nature, has changed over millions of years. The development of technology and media has shaped Storytelling into various forms and shapes, and due to the recent spread of smart devices, the influence of interactive storytelling has grown significantly. The technology which allows diverse and natural input of users, have transformed the listener to user and has allowed the user to 'experience' the story rather than 'hear' it. In line with the trend in the development of these technologies, this study seeks to design and implement an interactive tale for children on an ipad platform. Focusing on the interaction aspect, this story is designed mainly for 3-7 years olds, which contains various multimedia elements and interaction elements that use built in technology such as multi-touch technology and microphone technology to allow user input that aline with the context of story. Focusing on children's experience and empathy with the characters of the story, 'Three Little Pigs and the Wolf' contains 22 steps and was published in the itunes Store.

The revolution of industry 4.0 is enabling us to build an intelligent connection society called smart cities. The use of renewable energy in particular solar energy is extremely important for modern society due to the growing power demand in smart cities, but its difficult to monitor and manage in each buildings since need to be deploy low energy sensors and information need to be transfer via wireless sensor network (WSN). The Internet of Things (IoT) / low-power wide-area (LPWA) is an emerging WSN technology, to collect and monitor data about environmental and physical electrical / electronics devices conditions in real time. However, providing power to IoT sensor end devices and other public electrical loads such as street lights, etc is an important challenging role because the sensor are usually battery powered and have a limited life time. In this paper, we proposes an efficient solar energy-based power management scheme for smart city based on IoT technology using LoRa wide-area network (LoRaWAN). This approach facilitates to maintain and prevent errors of solar panel based energy systems. The proposed solution maximizing output the power generated from solar panels system to distribute the power to the load and the grid. In this paper, we proved the efficiency of the proposed system with Simulink based system modeling and real-time emulation.
Ethernet Passive Optical Network(EPON), which is one of PON technologies for realizing FTTx(Fiber-To-The-Curb/Home/Office), can cost-effectively construct optical access networks. In addition, EPON can provide high transmission rate up to 10Gbps and it is compatible with existing customer devices equipped with Ethernet card. To effectively control frame transmission from ONUs to OLT EPON can use Multi-Point Control Protocol(MPCP) with additional control functions in addition to Media Access Control(MAC) protocol function. For EPON, many researches on intra- and inter-ONU scheduling algorithms have been performed. Among the inter-ONU scheduling algorithms, IPS(Interleaved Polling with Stop) based on polling scheme is efficient because OLT assigns available time portion to each ONU given the request information from all ONUs. Since the IPS needs an idle time period on uplink between two consecutive frame transmission periods, it wastes time without frame transmissions. In this paper, we propose a dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm to increase the channel utilization on uplink and evaluate its performance using simulations. The simulation results show that the proposed Two-phase Cycle Danamic Bandwidth Allocation(TCDBA) algorithm improves the throughput about 15%, compared with the IPS and Fast Gate Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation(FGDBA). Also, the average transmission time of the proposed algorithm is lower than those of other schemes.
This study is a descriptive study which was done to examine the circumstances surrounding burn accidents in children in order to develop a burn prevention program. The subjects for the study were the mothers of 107 children admitted to two burn specialty hospitals in seoul and the mothers of 172 healthy children attending day care or kindergarten. The tool used in the study was developed by the researchers, pretested and refined. Cronbach's alpha was 0.72. Data collection was done between November 1995 and April 1996. Statistically analysis was done using SAS Version 6.04 and the data was analyzed using test, chi square, regression and logistic analysis. A suumary of the results shows the following : Eighty percent of the children in both groups lived in nuclear families but comparatively more of the children with burn accidents lived in apartments. More of the parents in the group of healthy children had university education and held white collar or professional jobs, while the parents of the children with burn accidents were slightly younger than the parents of the healthy children. but not significantly younger. A significantly greater number of families of children with burn accidents had more than one child and the characteristics of the children with burn accidents that they were more frequently boys, either first or last born and very active. Most of the burn accidents occurred in fall or winter. sometime between noon and midnight and the majority occurred in the home and were caused by hot liquid. In 86% of the cases emergency care was not given at home but the child was brought to the hospital emergency unit. Most of the burns were second degree or greater. involved the arms or legs. required admission, and 41.5% occurred when the parents were preparing or eating meals. In a test of knowledge of preventive measures, the mothers of children who had suffered burn accidents scored slightly higher than the mothers who had no experience with burn accidents, but this was not statistically significant. As to what to do in the case of a fire, the mothers of the healthy children had more knowledge about who to notify. but 70% of the mothers in both groups did not know how to escape from the house if it was of fire. 80 to 96% did not know what do to in case of a fire, such as rolling if clothes were on fire. 80% did not know what emergency care to give for a burn, and 74 to 87% did not know when it is appropriate to try to put out a fire. It can be concluded from this study that. since the results show that the most frequent situation which resulted in burn accidents was when the parents were not aware of the danger of burns or were not paying attention to the child. and when there were no protective devices to prevent burns. and that accidents most frequently occurred at home. the most effective way of preventing accidents is to develop in the parents a "safety mind", Since burn accidents in children are usually more severe than in adults. the physical. emotional. psychological and social damage is greater. In order to develop and awareness of this in the general public. the use of mass media. books and pamphlets and other educational media that provide education on prevention of burn accidents need to be utilized.

It is important to realize automation services by communicating in IoT with humans, objects & objects, and forming a common network. People used web like the most powerful network way to sharing things and communication. Therefore the efficiency method communication between each device and the web in IoT could be different from ones. The best method for high quality software product in web applications is software reuse ; Modules, classes, patterns, frameworks, and business components are reusable elements of various perspectives. Components is plugged with others through well-defined interfaces, which can overcome the operation and complexity of application development. A web-based distributed environment for IoT applications is a standard architecture use information collected from various devices for developing and using applications. For that reason, the network management which manages the constituent resources for the best service control in IoT application is required as a sub-layer support service in most applications as well as individual applications. In this paper, we measure to develop a network management system based not only by components but on heterogeneous internetworks. For procedure this, we clarify a component architecture for classifying and classify also the component needed in the IOT and network domain or order the type of real network management system.
