  • YouTube, the most representative video sharing platform, is used by millions every day. New videos across various fields, such as daily life, beauty, games, eating, fashion, and music are constantly being uploaded. Among the content available on YouTube, beauty-related videos are particularly popular. Creators who produce and share beauty-related content on online media platforms are known as beauty creators. There is a significant amount of beauty-related content produced in response to high public interest. Most of this content focuses on sponsored advertisements related to product relevance and attitudes, such as makeup tutorials, hairstyle creation, and new product reviews. However, there is a lack of research on the diverse environments of self-media beauty creators and basic makeup production techniques. This study investigated the content composition of individual media YouTube beauty creators and examined the current status of YouTube beauty creators in Korea. This research is necessary for the development of diverse content and videos by beauty creators. Based on these findings, a makeup technique was developed for YouTube beauty creators, considering the production environment of marketing content and video production steps. This study aims to expand and specialize the broad range of content environments of beauty creators and develop makeup techniques that can be effectively used in YouTube content production.

  • Recently, as the proliferation of mobile smart devices, multimedia content sharing technologies between mobile smart devices have provided. For efficient content sharing in wireless networks, the hierarchical streaming network has been proposed. However, member devices in a network group experience frequent delay while playing multimedia content files because of excessive network resource occupation between a relay and member devices. In this paper, we propose an efficient multimedia streaming relay method using media buffer control to reduce network congestion during streaming from the relay device to the member devices. We also measured the number of buffering and buffering time of the proposed relay engine and compared them with the performance of the existing relay engine.

  • With the progress in high speed internet networks, mobile devices and social networking, the eco-system of the media has shifted from that where the flow of content was one-way from the producer to the consumer. A so-called 'prosumer' culture has taken root where the consumer himself produces media content. Along with these trends, various video-sharing platforms such as youtube has a method of allocating advertisement profit to the content producer, offering a win-win platform for content pro-sumers. This allows the channels to attract several tens of millions of subscribers and raise an annual income of over 10 billion Won, marking a revolutionary change in the content industry. This paper seeks to analyze video distribution channels and short-form media content that are showing continuous growth to identify new markets where animated content can make progress in an era of online video media platforms, as well as provide a future direction for small teams of creators of animated films to survive and thrive in this environment.

  • As social media started to work as important communication tools, social media users have tried to manage their image, identity, and impression through social media. Social media service providers have been interested in providing various functions effectively disclosing users' emotion, such as posting, commenting, and sharing content; on the other hand, relatively few efforts have been made to provide social media functions for information suppression. In this study, therefore, we attempt to examine the relationship between Facebook users' personality and impression management behaviors. Personal traits of users including public self-consciousness, positive self-expression, and honest self-expression were considered as independent variables. Impression management behaviors are composed of two variables, which are suppression and projection. The survey was conducted, targeting 230 Facebook users. The research findings show that public self-consciousness and positive self-expression are positively associated with information suppression while both positive and honest self-expression is positively associated with information projection.

  • This paper discussed the factors that necessitated information networking, types of networks, benefits of information networking, library information networking and the University of Port 0Harcourt library network initiatives. Information networking is a process of communication, exchange of ideas, resource sharing and collaboration between individuals, organizations, institutions and libraries and it is facilitated by ICTs and the internet for improved accessibility. It has been brought about by information explosion, rapid advancement in information communication technologies, inadequate funding and increased demand for quality information. Networks can be classified into local, national, regional, and international networks and are formed to serve different categories of user communities. Benefits of information networking include resource sharing, on-line conferences and participation in programmes at distant centers, collaboration among scholars in different countries. Communication flow through the internet, social media, and electronic mail. Library information networking started with the interlibrary loan which has metamorphosed into library consortia in which groups of libraries partner to coordinate activities, share resources and combine expertise. The University of Port Harcourt Library network initiatives started with an e-granary (a CD ROM) and the establishment of a local area network. The library subscribes to more than 10 electronic databases. Information networking has greatly improved the sharing of resources in acquisition and dissemination of information resources since no single institution can acquire the overwhelming number of information resources in their various formats.
