  • This study explores of press report on the death of Beongen Yoo based on network analysis and how issue diffuses via Internet and SNS in mainstream news and conservative channels of comprehensive programming. Issue salience, word's visibility and word's connectivity are the main keyword and analysis criteria of this study. Conservative channel of comprehensive programming focused on the surrounding information rather than core information compared to Mainstream media, Conservative channels of comprehensive media was interested in Yu, Beongeon, an article left, brand, rumor of a body and Mainstream media focused on the results of DNA test. Mainstream media covers this case as the discovery of the Yu, Beongeon body, Mainstream media reported as 'the discovery of the body frame, conservative channels of comprehensive programming reports as blame of investigation at the first stage. The former focuses on the cause of death and the latter focuses on the raising of strong doubts frame at the second stage. In case of the third stage the latter covered on the emphasis of the surrounding information. They frames the issue differently based on network analysis. The view point of conservative channel of comprehensive programming is diffused via SNS. This study highlights the role of journalist of mainstream media in the process of agenda-setting

  • This expriment was carried out on culture media which affect growth, development and physiological effect to Pleurotus ostreatus, when aqueous ferrum, red pepper powder, leaves of ginkgo biloba were added to culture media. The yield of fresh mushroom per 850ml PP bottle in chunchu-neutari was highest by 144g in 34.9g aqueous ferrum added, ferrous content don't affected to yield of mushroom, but variety of Pleurotus ostreatus affect to yield. Mineral content of fruit body and culture media in Suhan-neutari was different to mineral kind, ferrous content of furit body was similar to 0.31~0.43mg/kg when ferrous content of media was increased in 0.89mg/kg to 10.8mg/kg. The more content of red pepper powder in culture media was high, the more capsaicin content in fruit body was high. transferred capsaicin was highest by 6 mg/100g in Suhan-neutari. Total phenolics content were higher in culture media which was added aqueous ferrum and red pepper powder, but correlation don't showed total phenolics content among antioxydant activity, reducing power, chelating capacity. Macrophage activation was higher in Suhan-neutari than other Pleurotus spp.

  • This study aims at examining how male college students' extent of mass media exposure affects their sociocultural attitude toward appearance and appearance orientation. It also investigates how these variables show difference depending on the individual's self-efficacy. For the study, data were collected from 397 male students by means of stratified random sampling. The results are as follows: 1. Male college students 'sociocultural attitude toward appearance was shown in two factors of appearance internalization and appearance awareness. Appearance orientation was shown in two factors of interest in appearance and interest in body weight. 2. Male college students were exposed to mass media in order of videos, movies, TV entertainment shows, music and movie magazines. The influence of video media was strong. 3. Male college students' extent of mass media exposure exerted indirect influence through sociocultural attitude toward appearance rather than exerting direct influence on appearance orientation. 4. Male college students' appearance orientation varied depending on the extent of self-efficacy, and higher self-efficacy showed higher appearance orientation and appearance attitude. Especially the group with higher self-efficacy showed higher appearance attitude when the extent of exposure to mass media increased.

  • This paper is aimed at studying the sexuality elements and their perceptibility in the sports photographs and images of internet portal media. The sexuality elements are composed of athletes' uniform, body and external feature. In an analysis of sports' users through portal media, there were some differences in an experimental group of men. There was the difference between an experimental group of men and a of men and women sports game. The perceptibility of sexuality imaged by sports images of men and women games in portal media was higher in an of men and women sports game than the experimental group of men. Accordingly, the sexuality imaged through sports images of portal media had a higher effect on sports' men-users.

  • This study (1) explores female consumers' attitudes toward fat people and perceptions about plus-size models, (2) addresses female consumers' responses to models with different body sizes, and (3) examines the effect of plus-size model presence on female consumers' body image. We collected an online questionnaire from a total of 600 female participants in their 20's and 30's. Stimuli included six full-colored photo images of models with thin and plus body sizes (three in each group). Images were captured from the online shopping site of the fashion brand currently providing both average and plus-size clothes. Respondents were randomly assigned one of the groups by model size. Results support the sociocultural perspective that a thin/ideal body of models has a negative influence on female viewers' sociocultural attitudes toward appearance, mood state and body satisfaction. Findings also suggest that exposure to plus-size models can reduce negative media effects on females body image perceptions, regardless of individual body size.

  • A 15-month-old, intact male, domestic short hair cat was presented with ataxia, protrusion of the right third eyelid, and anorexia. Clinical signs were firstly noted after ear cleaning at home. Symptoms of the Homer's syndrome were evident. However, postural and proprioceptive reaction deficits were not detected on neurologic examination. Otoscopic examination revealed foreign body in right ear canal. A diagnosis of peripheral vestibular syndrome was made based on results of physical examination including neurologic and otic examination, blood work, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Based on these examinations, the present patient was definitely diagnosed as otitis medial interna induced by foreign body. The vestibular signs were resolved 10 days after removal of cotton tips in right ear canal. This case report indicates that home-care cotton swab can iatrogenically induce otitis media/interna in cats.

  • This paper analysed the induced current density by electric field of human body under the 765 kV transmission line considering permittivity and conductivity. As permittivity of human body is very high as $10^6$ at 60 Hz, special numerical computation technique in Surface Charge Method(SCM) for composite media with extremely different properties is applied to reduce calculation error of induced current density and electric field inside the human body. Calculation results show that the average of the induced current density inside human body is about 3mA/$m^2$, which is less than ICNIRP criterion (10mA/$m^2$).

  • Zhang thinks human life consists of body(形) and Shen(神 spirit). Body comes from Jing(精), Shen comes from Qi(氣). The common basic of body and Shen is Qi. Thus the elements of human life are Jing, Qi and Shen. Among the three life elements, Jing is the lowest level. To preserve Jing is the key to Life Care. To preserve Jing, we should rest body and Shen, and Shen rules body, so to rest Shen is necessary to preserve Jing. When Jing is full, it converts to Qi, and Qi converts to Shen. Shen is ruled by mind(心), so mind sould be quiet. There is a gate through which Jing and Qi pass. It is called Mingmen(命門), and it sould be closed tight to preserve Jing.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of media on makeup and hairdressing behavior. The data collected for this study were gathered through questionnaire survey with 443 female students in Seoul. The first study focus is on makeup behavior. The ANOVA test reveals that those exposed to magazine show higher level of concern with makeup compared to those exposed to other types of media. Using logistic regression method, we find that those exposed to magazine or those with positive body image are more likely to take makeup course. The next focus is on hairdressing behavior. The ANOVA test reveals that those exposed to magazine show more frequent use of hair salon. They also spend more money on hairdressing. The regression analysis also shows that those exposed to magazine or those with sexual attraction visit hair salon more frequently than others.
