  • Micro vibration isolation, typically originated from ground, is always a prime concern for the nano-measurement instruments such as Atomic Force Microscopes. A four mount active vibration isolation system is proposed in this paper. Modeling and control of such a four mount system as analyzed. Combined active-passive isolation principle is used for vibration isolation by mounting the instrument on a passively damped isolation system made of Elastomer along with the active stage in parallel that consists of very soft actuation system, the Voice Coil Motor. The active stage works in combination with the passive stage for working as a very low frequency vibration attenuator.

  • Weibull distribution is a suitable distribution to use in modeling the life time data. It has been found to be a exact fit for the empirical distribution of the wind speed measurement samples. In brief this paper consist of important properties and characters of Weibull distribution. Also we discuss the application of Weibull distribution to wind speed measurements and derive an expression for the probability distribution of the power produced by a wind turbine at a fixed location, so that the modeling problem reduces to collecting data to estimate the three parameters of the Weibull distribution using Maximum likelihood Method.

  • This paper proposes a spherical probe allowing acoustic intensity measurements in three dimensions to be made, which creates a diffracted field that is well-defined, thanks to analytic solution of diffraction phenomena. Six microphones are distributed on the surface of the sphere along three rectangular axes. Its measurement technique is not based on finite difference approximation, as is the case for the ID probe but on the analytic solution of diffraction phenomena. In fact, the success of sound source identification depends on the inverse models used to estimate inverse diffraction phenomena, which has non-linear properties. In this paper, we introduce the concept of nonlinear inverse diffraction modeling using a neural network and the idea of 3 dimensional sound source identification with several tests.

  • The initial thermal analysis needs to be fast and efficient to reduce the feedback time for the optimal electronic equipment designing. In this study, a thermal model is developed by using power consumption measurement values of each functional breadboard, that is, semi-empirical power dissipation method. In modeling heat dissipated EEE parts, power dissipation is imposed evenly on the EEE part footprint area which is projected to the printed circuit board, and is called surface heat model. The application of these methods is performed in the development of a command and telemetry unit (CTU) for a geostationary satellite. Finally, the thermal cycling test is performed to verify the applied thermal analysis methods.

  • The effect of structural uncertainties or measurement errors on damage detection results makes the robustness become one of the most important features during identification. Due to the wide use of vibration signatures on damage detection, the development of vibration-based techniques has attracted a great interest. In this work, a review on vibration-based robust detection techniques is presented, in which the robustness is considerably improved through modeling error compensation, environmental variation reduction, denoising, or proper sensing system design. It is hoped that this study can give help on structural health monitoring or damage mitigation control.

  • This paper presents a simulation results of sensorless control of Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) using neural network. The basic algorithm of this scheme is based on the flux linkage characteristic according to the phase current and the rotor position. A sufficient simulation data was used for neural network training. Through measurement of the phase flux linkage and phase currents the neural network is able to estimate the rotor position. The simulation result shows some good results, and possibility of this algorithm.

  • In the agricultural machinery field, load analysis is mostly done through field tests. However, field tests are time-consuming and costly. There are also limitations in test conditions due to weather conditions. To overcome these environmental limitations, research on load analysis through simulation in a virtual environment is actively being conducted. This study aimed to select the most appropriate soil particle size for modeling by analyzing the effect of soil particle size on the prediction of draft force of the implement using simulation and soil particle modeling in a virtual environment with the discrete element method (DEM) software. The accuracy was verified by simulating the draft force for the same moving speed by soil particle size. For soil particle modeling, DEM soil modeling was performed by designing soil property measurement procedure. Soil particle correction was performed with a virtual vane shear test. Average DEM simulation results showed an error of 27.39% (19.43~40.66%) compared to actual measured data. The possibility of improvement was confirmed through additional research. Results of this study provide useful information for selecting soil particle size in soil modeling using DEM from the perspective of agricultural machinery research.

  • The characteristics of hull-pieces are large quantity, comparatively large piece-size, and different each shape. For the more, in the forming process(including Line-Heating Process) of curved hull pieces, shape checking processes including initial shape measurement and forming shape measurement of the each pieces are needed to achieve a given accuracy. So, the forming process of large curved hull pieces needs efficient measurement and comparison technique to check the shape and ensure the forming-accuracy In this paper, we try to construct integrated S/W, H/W system for efficient measurement and comparison of large curved hull pieces, which can apply to above forming environment.

  • QoS(Quality of Service) is defined "The collective effect of service performance which determines the degree of satisfaction of a user of the service" by ITU-T Rec. E.800. The final goal of information system is to secure the performance efficiency within the required time. The security QoS framework is the modeling of the QoS measurement metrics, the measurement time schedule, instrument, method of measurement and the series of methodology about analysis of the result of measurement. This paper relates to implementing issue and performance measuring about blended mechanism between networking technology and security technology. We got more effectiveness in overall network security, when applying and composing amalgamated security mechanism between network technology and security technology. In this paper, we suggest techniques being used on infrastructure system and also offers a security QoS methodology as a model of more effective way. Methodology proposed in this research has proven that it is possible to measure response time through the scheduled method.
