  • Using disturbance observers is effective in enhancing the performance of systems in presence of disturbances. In this paper, we present a novel design of disturbance observers to achieve enhanced robust performance. In addition, we propose a new method of reducing the effect of measurement noise via modification of plant modeling in disturbance observer.

  • An effect ive filter algorithm that can manage radar beam pointing efficiently is needed to track multi-target in the air. For effective beam management the filter has lobe good enough to predict future position of target and based on this filter output radar beam is control led to point toward the predicted target position in the air. In this paper, we investigate the ${\alpha}$-${\beta}$ filter known for its brief filter structure with the steady-state Kalman filter gain, the ruv filter, and the coordinate-transformed filter that can decouple the measurement noise variance.

Experimental Study on Signal Sensing of a High Sensitive Fiber Optic Hydrophone (실험을 통한 소형 고감도 광섬유 하이드로폰의 감지성능 연구)

  • In this study, a fiber optic air-backed mandrel hydrophone has been constructed and performance of acoustic signal detection has been measured. The hydrophone is based on a Mach-Zehnder interferometer with 35 m of sensing fiber. The sensitivity is measured up to -128 dB re rad/$\mu$ Pa in range from 1.4 kHz to5 kHz. A system with this design of hydrophone may be applied to detect low frequency underwater acoustic signals.

  • The transfer matrix method is proposed to compensate the attachment effect of a piezo-electric impedance head. To validate the proposed method, an experiment is carried out for axial vibration of a uniform rod for which an analytical solution is known. The impedance head is attached to the test rod by a stud and is connected to the exciter. The frequency response function is mesured by applying random excitation from the electro-magnetic exciter. The frequency response function compensated by the method proposed in this research shows good agreement with the analytical solution.

  • 최근 수년간 polarimetry, Raman spectroscopy, near infrared (NIR) absorption spectroscopy, NIR scattering, optoacoustics 등의 방법을 통하여 비침습적으로 Glucose의 농도를 측정하려는 연구가 많이 시도되었다. 일반적으로 이들 방법은 sensitivity 와 signal-to-noise ratio가 매우 낮고 복잡한 알고리즘이 요구되어져 glucose 농도 측정에 한계가 있음이 드러났다. 본 연구에서는 polarization sensitive optical coherence tomography (PS-OCT)에 사용되는 polarization sensitive low coherence inter-ferometer (PS-LCI) 기법을 이용하여 비침습적으로 glucose의 농도 측정을 가능하게 하는 시스템 개발에 중점을 두었다.   • 미지신호에 대한 측정에서는 오차분산의 명확한 표현이 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 수동측정에서의 측정정확도를 예측하기 위한 방법을 정립한다. 제안된 예측 방법은 신 뢰도를 기반으로 신호대잡음비 및 주파수대역폭과 시간적분과의 곱에 의해 정확도를 표현한 다. 본 논문에서는 배경소음 환경에서의 측정음향을 그대로 분석하는 경우와 배경소음을 예 측하여 측정음향에서 제거시키는 경우를 구분하여 광대역 음향측정시의 성능예측 기준을 시 뮬레이션하고 정확도를 예측한다.

  • The application of PIV to the studies of fluid-machines, especially focused on turbo-machinery is reviewed by scrutinizing the previous investigation. Owing to the inevitable high-speed analysis of turbo-machinery consisting of rotating impellers, the importance of optical setups to cope with illumination problem is frequently mentioned as main ingredient affecting the PIV performance. And the acquisition of the relative velocity and absolute velocity is determined mainly by the optical recording conditions. A few studies cast satisfactory extension of the PIV data to quantitative pressure estimation and related noise assessment.

  • 본 연구에서는 반도체형으로 생산된 가속도센서를 적용하여 거리를 측정하는데 있어 문제점에 대해 언급하고, bias drift error에 따른 적분 누적오차를 줄이기 위한 방법으로 random noise를 감소시키고 위치추정을 위한 데이터 융합에 가장 일반적으로 적용되는 Kalman Filter 알고리즘을 적용하여 가속도 데이터를 상대적 위치 데이터로 변환하여 거리측정에 적용하였다. 또한 가속도센서를 관절형 로봇에 부착시켜 실험하여 이동거리를 산출하는 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과 보상 알고리즘을 사용했을 때의 zero drift error과 누적오차가 감소됨을 알 수 있었다.
